I know there’s one every year and I appreciate some people find it distasteful but if that’s you, please just look away. I know so many people love it and I want to see all your fridges!! I have to go to waitrose tonight and then have meat being delivered on Friday so will post mine then🎄

Love this thread. Just need to take the turkey and sausage meat out tomorrow.

Not much in ours at the moment, it's normally a case of jenga, but it's a bit light atm.

I'm so jealous of all the lovely big fridges. Mine is tiny. And my freezer. (And also very little in my fridge so not worthy of a photo as we are not home for Christmas dinner)

Celebrationsnakes · 22/12/2023 15:17

I love this thread every year. My food shop has been delivered but picking up the turkey tomorrow so can't do a pic yet

I look forward to this thread! Love seeing what other people have bought. Here’s mine. Drinks are in the shed, picking up a shin of beef Christmas Eve though god knows where I’ll put it.

Bread in the fridge?

Bread in the fridge?

Autistic child will not eat ‘warm bread’ 🙄

Poppins17 · 22/12/2023 16:07

Loving all the photos now coming through!

My autistic child won't eat any bread at home. He will eat bread / toast at school or his grandparents' house. Even if we have the same bread, it's a no. 🤷‍♀️😩 #makeitmakesense

Ha!
My autistic children are all adults now and can please themselves, in their own homes lol.

But I do understand. Oh yes.

I'm just here to put 5lbs on just looking at the cakes! Where is the Christmas fancy desserts please?!

Inextremis · 22/12/2023 16:43

Here's mine, as promised - there's some stuff which wouldn't fit, so it's in the chest freezer in the shed :) Actually managed to leave enough space for one can of DH's Guinness!

I got a very apologetic phone call from the (Italian) Co-op.
”Your turkey is a bit smaller than you ordered…”
”OK, how much does it weigh?”
2.5 kilos.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
No problems about how to use up the turkey this year!

@Inextremis, watch out for those jars at the top. They have a malevolent, about to jump off at you, look about them! 😬

To be honest, the entire contents are likely to leap out - it's a bit packed in there! Just another Christmas hazard! :)

Never ever on all my too many years on Mumsnet have I seen anything like this

This has just obviously never hit my radar! I’ll not bore you with the whole fridge but you’re welcome to my cheese drawer! (Yes that’s also cheese in the Tupperwares)

Fridge, booze station and turkey!

I am always very amazed and impressed by the amount of cream people get in!

We have 6 different types of cream 😱 single (for hot chocolate) double (for desserts) clotted for mince pies, Cointreau flavour for coffee, normal squirty and chocolate squirty for the DC!

4pink1blue · 22/12/2023 18:22

My fridge. We have a boned, rolled turkey and my cream is hiding behind the cheesecake. All my sides are in the freezer still until Sunday. (Ignore the cat food in the corner). And just because I love it, my Christmas cake!

I'm not allowed to buy any more cheese since Himself checked the Waitrose order.

Apparently, buying two packs of Cheddar from Sainsbury's this morning was a little excessive when I've also ordered;

Philadelphia
Camembert
Pecorino
Mozzarella pearls
Gorgonzola
Boursin
Chavroux
Ricotta

In reality, he'll probably come back from the shops on Christmas Eve with Stilton, Wensleydale, more Cheddar, Halloumi, Feta and any other cheese that's got a yellow sticker on it because it won't go off.

Halfway through cleaning the fridge at the moment. It will get the fruit in there tomorrow to go with the insurance veg and the rest of the salad - already got a mixed growing lettuce from the Turkish shop and a large bag of mini cucumbers to go with the coleslaw he's making later.

I'll also find a way of sneaking in some hummus if I don't end up making some and if I can get away with it, some more veg so he hasn't got any excuse not to cook four - five different ones for every main meal for the next fortnight.

AnotherAdventFridge · 22/12/2023 18:51

Not been shopping yet, so it looks a little bare.
Just eaten loads of left-overs for dinner, so it looks barer still.

This is making me envious. Our fridge is pretty much empty ready for the food delivery tomorrow... though we're not cooking Christmas Dinner so it won't be much...

Treaclepie19 · 22/12/2023 18:56

@4pink1blue Your cake is so cute!!
