We did it yesterday which is early for me. I went up in the loft, got everything down, stuck the two halves of the tree together and dc decorated it. I usually make a big deal of it but it was easy this year and looks lovely!

No. We don’t put it up until 15th/16th of December.

dontforgetme · 03/12/2023 14:37

Yep, been up since last Thursday. Decorated the rest of the house yesterday. I love it Grin

Floralnomad · 03/12/2023 14:39

Yep , always goes up for Dec 1st , my husband decorated this year and I’ve just moved a few bits around .

MarleyandMarleyWoo · 03/12/2023 14:39

No. We’re going away for a week tomorrow so expect we’ll get our decorations up the weekend of the 16th/17th.

hopeishere · 03/12/2023 14:41

No. Next weekend. It's too soon for me but DH and DS want to do it then.

CatMadam · 03/12/2023 14:42

Put it up on the 1st since we’re all isolating with Covid anyway. It really cheered me up, although the toddler running away with a decoration for the 273827433th time is getting a bit wearing…

LittleBlueUnicorn · 03/12/2023 14:43

No want to do it when kids at school

justalittlesnoel · 03/12/2023 14:43

Yes! They've all been up for weeks, and they're helping light up these dark evenings ✨

LubaLuca · 03/12/2023 14:44

We did it yesterday which is very early for us, but we're away the next couple of weekends so it was now or Christmas Eve. It was lovely actually because it started snowing when we were doing it.

Hellocatshome · 03/12/2023 14:46

Always first weekend in December. We have 1 real and 1 fake. Put the fake one up yesterday and 16 yearnild DS and his GF decorated it which was nice because he normally wouldn't help with Christmas. We had to wait fo ball the snow to melt off the real one but that will be getting decorated later today. When I've mopped up the puddle under it.

Peridot1 · 03/12/2023 14:52

Not yet. The outside lights are up and were switched on last night for the first time. Wreath is on the front door as I made it at a wreath workshop last Sunday. Advent candle display is ready to go to light a candle later.

I think we will get everything down from the loft on Tuesday and I will start the decorations then. Can’t have a real tree sadly as I’m allergic and the year we had even a small one in the hall I was miserably sneezing the whole time. So it’s fake all the way here.

Soccermumamir · 03/12/2023 14:55

Just put it up today. Feels like it wasn't that long ago when we took it down. The year has flown.

TerrysChocolateOrange · 03/12/2023 14:56

Next weekend, joys of being retired, I can take the rest of the weekend and into the following week to do the tree and the house.

SwedishEdith · 03/12/2023 14:59

No but 16/17 feels late this year so next weekend. Which is still a bit early for me.

BiddyPop · 03/12/2023 15:00

No. It's still on a truck coming from Ireland to Brussels, has made it to Belgium but won't be delivered to me until 20th and I hope to fly home on 22nd.

Next year.

I have also warned Mr Scrooge at home that I expect the other tree up there, especially as I left even more decorations than I planned there so he has more than enough. His argument is that we are away for Christmas itself so there's no point. I suspect though that dd will make him do it as she doesn't want much outwardly but is always very happy to find her blanket out of storage and gets involved in putting up the tree even if "she doesn't want to bother with it" ....teens!

OldTinHat · 03/12/2023 15:27

Mine won't go up until about 23rd December 2024!

I'm on my own most years and don't bother with decorations. Next year, I'll have a DC coming to visit, so I'll make an effort then!

Oblomov23 · 03/12/2023 15:32

No. It's too early.

Mrsfussypants1 · 03/12/2023 15:37

I traditionally put ours up 12 days before Christmas, but not this year. I've taken 1st till 5th as holiday and im feeling festive. Outside is blanketed in snow and has been for a few days and we did a light show on the 1st and father christmas yesterday with dgd it's been a lovely weekend. I've a couple of days left before work and plan to have a leisurely few days slowly decorating while having a few mince pies, watching a christmas movie and starting on the festive wax melts. Work is busy this time of year and December Normally flies by and putting the tree up earlier at my own pace is more relaxing for me than my usual rush of fitting it in-between shifts.

AthenaWhite · 03/12/2023 15:44

It;s up. Makes me sooooo happy.

Have you put your tree up yet?

Greekgreens · 03/12/2023 15:47

No, probably in a couple of weeks.

Kgha · 03/12/2023 15:48

yep Already up, I always put it up on the 1st, always makes my living room feel so cosy with the fairy lights!

ThequalityoftheReps · 03/12/2023 15:49

Soccermumamir · 03/12/2023 14:55

Just put it up today. Feels like it wasn't that long ago when we took it down. The year has flown.

I said exactly the same. Sometimes I total forget what decorations we have. This time it felt like an extension of last year !

Elmo230885 · 03/12/2023 15:50

Yes. Has been for around a week.

janfebmarchapril · 03/12/2023 15:51

Husband is out getting it now and we will decorate during the week
