Thread 13 - the one with the loot from Black Friday

13 - unlucky for some. Let's hope it's very lucky for us!

I bought a couple of things in the Black Friday sales - an amazon stick (I'm pretty sure we couldn't just bought a smart tv by now with the amount we've got through as they break after a year or so) and noise cancelling headphones for DD. Hope you're all getting through the lists - December is fast upon us!

In message two are the links and info from last year - if anyone has anything they'd like me to amend or add, please do tag me and I'll update.

A reminder not to post affiliate links in the thread but that MN do change amazon links shared by posters into MN affiliate links.

Please do watch the thread rather than post to mark place to make it easier for everyone to keep up and find relevant info.

@Puffalicious I have this Headset and have been very happy with it. Ds downloaded the music for me which he said was easy to do. It holds its charge. I charge it approximately every 4 swims but it’s never run out. I wear hearing aids (not while swimming) and was unsure if I would be able to hear it but it’s been great.

Thank you. This is really helpful ❤️

Anyone seen any deals on heated body warmers anywhere. Just been added to DC list and don't know where to start!

deeplybaffled · 26/11/2023 22:56

Please can anyone recommend anywhere that sells a mixed bag of fidget toys?

CoffeeAndEnnui · 26/11/2023 23:00

@VeruccaSalty I would echo @OdeToAutumn and recommend the £6 George @ Asda blankets (filter prices for low-high to find them). There's a tonne of different colours/designs, they're a great size and wash really well. We've had both fox and nutcracker design blankets for a good few years and they've survived many spills and clean-ups.

Fox patterned ones are specifically for our foxy labrador so they've taken a proper kicking and held up beautifully, Recently bought a few mushroom patterned ones and the quality was still just as good. They're not as thick as the sherpa fleece ones but I find the single layer makes them a fab sofa blanket and they roll up nicely when I want to kid myself that we are tidy people!

And for non-regional bias, the Devon Cream Teas also has some black Friday offers

@Ilovepugs2017 happy birthday 🥳 hope you've had a lovely day x

(Sorry about huge logo, couldn't make it go away)

Passthecoffee · 26/11/2023 23:15

M&S - TopCashback is 15% for new and existing customer purchases (I'm a plus member so I'm not sure if it's lower if you aren't a plus member).

@TheContinentalHotel I had all those lovely pasties in my basket and they don’t deliver to me 😢. It’s probably just as well. I am over budget as it is but can’t resist a bargain.

Justhereforthechristmasthreads · 27/11/2023 06:47

Vans have up to 50% off in their Cyber Monday offers

EXTRA20 takes off 20% on top (works on non Cyber Monday deals too)

MamaClausToTheRescue · 27/11/2023 07:15

thanks @Justhereforthechristmasthreads - I’ve been waiting for that one! Just got a few things ticked off the list

Theimpossiblegirl · 27/11/2023 07:22

My most random gift request yet...
A jellycat prawn!
I've seen them on vinted but with postage they're still spendy. Can you lovely bargain people help?
🦐

Justhereforthechristmasthreads · 27/11/2023 07:29

@Theimpossiblegirl Temptation gifts have it at 16.99 no idea what they are usually. Jellycat official site seems to be £20 but out of stock. Seems from many posts on here it is hard to find jellycat deals

Please can anyone recommend anywhere that sells a mixed bag of fidget toys?

Flying Tiger does a bag of fidget toys I’m sure

Oopsupsideyourheadache · 27/11/2023 07:48

Has anyone ordered the ancestry DNA kit as a gift? Would you recommend? It's on offer for £49.99 but postage is £9.99! Feels like it's not really on 'offer' if they bump the postage up.

VeruccaSalty · 27/11/2023 07:52

Those Asda blankets look like good value. My boys are going to love the guinea pig one!

Bookbug92 · 26/11/2023 21:24

Does any lovely person have a discount code for Office? I've tried signing up to their mailing list to get 10% off but no joy!

I’ve got a 10% code I can message you if you still need it?

recklessgran · 27/11/2023 08:00

A bit of an odd request. Please has anyone found "free from" chocolate coins anywhere? I'm looking for them for my DGD who is vegan. In the past I've bought them from Tesco, Sainsburys and even Holland & Barrett. Strangely they are nowhere to be found - we've all been looking but no luck. We've tried everywhere we can think of i.e all supermarkets, B&M etc even the Co-op and drawn a blank. The only ones we can find online are Divine plain chocolate but I'm hoping for pseudo milk ones. I know it's trivial but this stupid thing is driving me mad so would love to know if anyone else has seen them anywhere? Many thanks in advance.

Justhereforthechristmasthreads · 27/11/2023 08:04

@recklessgran I had the same dilemma for a hamper I was doing. I ended up with these from Morrisons (but very disappointed really. I sneaked a peak and thry aren't foil wrapped and come in a small square box not a net)

Edit to say i tried numerous Asda, Tesco and sainsburys stores too and nothing

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned already but Pat McGrath have a selection of matte lipsticks & eyeshadows for £12 each (usually £36). Free p&p. Good if you can be sure a certain shade will suit 😁

Fluffycloudsfloatinginthesky · 27/11/2023 08:07

@Theimpossiblegirl

Campus gifts are great for Jellycat. I bought my daughter the shellfish tray with some shellfish last year.

recklessgran · 27/11/2023 08:13

@Justhereforthechristmasthreads thank you SO much. I'm just glad it's not me! I'll certainly get to Morrisons and look for these - when I looked there before I was obviously scoping for a net of foils so must have missed those. Apart from anything else DD uses them for the tooth fairy [often skint so an inspired substitute I thought] so I'm keen to get a stock to see her through the year!

MooseyMoo · 27/11/2023 08:18

I didn’t know this but, when ordering from GAP, you can collect from Next shops so you don’t have to pay their extortionate £4.50 delivery fee
