Thread 13 - the one with the loot from Black Friday

1000 replies

Reastie · 25/11/2023 06:56

13 - unlucky for some. Let's hope it's very lucky for us!

I bought a couple of things in the Black Friday sales - an amazon stick (I'm pretty sure we couldn't just bought a smart tv by now with the amount we've got through as they break after a year or so) and noise cancelling headphones for DD. Hope you're all getting through the lists - December is fast upon us!

In message two are the links and info from last year - if anyone has anything they'd like me to amend or add, please do tag me and I'll update.

A reminder not to post affiliate links in the thread but that MN do change amazon links shared by posters into MN affiliate links.

Please do watch the thread rather than post to mark place to make it easier for everyone to keep up and find relevant info.

Ahh I gave away my Argos code thinking I wouldn’t need it but just found a load of Christmas decorations and a tree I want to buy which is coming to £112. If anyone has any spare codes it would be much appreciated 🙂

I have a £5 off £40 if that would help? Can PM you.

fishfingersandchipsagain · 26/11/2023 21:29

@Claramay78 TopCashBack also have 20% cashback on Glossybox purchases (not just subscriptions)

Itsfridaynightok · 26/11/2023 21:32

gongbong · 26/11/2023 21:34

Seasonofthewitches · 26/11/2023 21:36

Thank you for the adult game recommendations 💐 I also asked a few threads ago for cooperative game recommendations and a couple of people replied and I forgot to thank you, I’m sorry I can’t remember individual names but please know how grateful I am if you answered either of my queries 💐

Does any lovely person have a discount code for Office? I've tried signing up to their mailing list to get 10% off but no joy!

If anyone has an Argos code, could you give me a shout. Thanks very much 😊

I want to get some fleecey blankets for watching tv etc. Any recommendations? Very hard to know what's good quality online! We bought m&s ones over a decade ago which lasted really well but it's time to let the dog have them.

Did anyone who ordered the reduced Levis t-shirt on Amazon actually receive it? Mine is apparently missing...

Mine is supposedly coming 5 Jan. Think I'm going to cancel it. I'm sure when I ordered, it said delivery within a week or two.

Mine was dispatched and out for delivery. But now when I track it it says its delayed and might be missing. Confused as to how to claim the refund as the options are to post it back to them to get this. 🤣 Might have to actually chat to them. 🙄

onemoretine · 26/11/2023 21:58

@MrsChristiesChristmasCake now I'm annoyed cause I'm in Scotland too and was going to order tonight🤦‍♀️ I refuse to pay £9 postage either!

Yes I got mine last week

Bookbug92 · 26/11/2023 22:02

Thank you @clpsmum 😊

MrsChristiesChristmasCake · 26/11/2023 22:05

@onemoretine I emailed them and they got back to me really quickly to say that "postage to the UK is £4.95". So I replied informing them that ummm no, it's not. So fingers crossed they can sort it out quick smart! I was going to just suck up the postage since I found a different discount code (Duda20 for 20% off so at least something) and I really think my BIL would love it, but paying 2x the postage is really annoying!

I'll let you know if they reply any further!

Twinsandsome · 26/11/2023 22:14

Yes I received both of mines this weekend

Unihorn · 26/11/2023 22:21

Just to chip in to say we've got the Fahlo bracelets, the delivery was very quick. We're in Wales and didn't have an issue with shipping costs so hope they sort it for you @MrsChristiesChristmasCake

I hadn't really considered the sizing as they're elasticated but unfortunately they look too big for my 6 year old. She'll still be pleased at the tracking though I'm sure!

fishfingersandchipsagain · 26/11/2023 22:24

endoscopic camera £7.69 for those who missed out last time. Doesn’t support iPhone though.

OdeToAutumn · 26/11/2023 22:30

@VeruccaSalty i like the George (Asda) blankets. The Sherpa throws £12 are thicker and really warm and soft. The super soft throws which are £6 are thinner but nice and soft too.

It's got some pretty bad reviews.

Threeboysadogandacat · 26/11/2023 22:42

@Puffalicious I have this Headset and have been very happy with it. Ds downloaded the music for me which he said was easy to do. It holds its charge. I charge it approximately every 4 swims but it’s never run out. I wear hearing aids (not while swimming) and was unsure if I would be able to hear it but it’s been great.

Anyone have a discount code for notonthehighstreet.com please? Something else I wanted to buy just went out of stock so panic buying now!

I had a really thick throw/ blanket from a tesco collection 4 years ago and it's still going strong.

Fluffy one side and smooth the other. It was a gift so I've no idea of the cost but excellent quality that lasts.
