13 - unlucky for some. Let's hope it's very lucky for us!

I bought a couple of things in the Black Friday sales - an amazon stick (I'm pretty sure we couldn't just bought a smart tv by now with the amount we've got through as they break after a year or so) and noise cancelling headphones for DD. Hope you're all getting through the lists - December is fast upon us!

In message two are the links and info from last year - if anyone has anything they'd like me to amend or add, please do tag me and I'll update.

A reminder not to post affiliate links in the thread but that MN do change amazon links shared by posters into MN affiliate links.

Please do watch the thread rather than post to mark place to make it easier for everyone to keep up and find relevant info.

@JessieJoJames I used your referral for A little find. Thank you

Does anyone know if there's a way to get free delivery from Hotel Chocolat for a low spend? We were in there yesterday and DS spotted the chocolate penguins and was pleading with me to get one and I'd love to get him one from Father Christmas but it works out pricey on its own... Maybe I just need to my myself a load of chocolate 😂

redjoker · 26/11/2023 07:44

Search the purple writing in Google. And click the search result to see if you are eligible. I wasn't obviously but you may be

Sainsburys/Habitat had 25% off most Christmas decorations when we were in yesterday. Someone was after a cheap garland - they had some lovely ones reduced to £15 and also a plain one for £12 that looked lovely and could be added to if needed.

Hi! I've been lurking on these threads, any tips on a fancyish hot chocolate, not too sweet?

I usually have a work trip to Belgium each winter and pick some up there but this year the location changed! Generally I find ones that are 'chocolatey bits' are nicer than powders, but open to anything that's good quality and preferably a bit bargainous

@Beckafett last year, DH spent ages trying to work out what to get his team as he, ideally, wanted to get them the same but one doesn't drink, another is vegan and there were a few other variations. In then end, he realised that they all tended to go to the Costa across the road even if only occasionally so got them all a £10 voucher for there.
My team is all female and I got them each a houseplant. A couple had them on their desk at work and the rest took them home (I guess - they might have just ditched them in the nearest bin as soon as they left the office). I got a couple of those mini roses, a couple of pots of hyacinth and then a couple of peace lilies and let them choose. One of the peace lilies was taken by a lady who has kept it in the office & it's still going strong. One of the recipients said "I won't bother as I just kill plants" but a colleague explained how hyacinths "work" and the recipient ended up giving us updates on when they'd come into flower etc.

Happy birthday @Ilovepugs2017 🎉.

And La Roche Posay has been a game changer for my skincare, even for my skin which usually hates everything! Bit spendy, but lasts ages!

Ooh, just checked and Look Fantastic has 25% off loads of their stuff at the moment! Off to stock up!

Thank you 😊.

ok cool I’ll have a look at those, which tends to be their best products? 🌟

EdenGlen · 26/11/2023 08:24

Can anyone recommend a cheapish but good quality snow globe? I’ve promised the kids one this year.

Any recommendations on a woman in her fourties birthday present please? I was thinking jewellery. I checked Fossil (i remember a frw of you getting some lovely bargains) but there don't seem to be any codes about.

Holidayqueen1 · 26/11/2023 08:52

@LittleMousewithcloggson please can you let me have a link to mini keyring torch! I’ve looked and can’t find any for that price but would be a fab stocking idea here

That's a good idea. I did previously say that they all mainly drink but as I've actually written the list out then that's not the case!

CatsLikeBoxes · 26/11/2023 09:07

@Helluvawomen if you'd really prefer a bean to cup machine, have you thought about getting that, and then getting a milk frother which you could use for hot chocolate? I've got a tassimo machine but I don't like the milk pods, or the hot chocolate pods, but a milk frother that heats and froths the milk can be used for coffee and hot choc. Just a thought!

For the person asking about Fossil codes, I got an email this morning saying you could use OUTLETVIP to get a further 40% off outlet if you buy 1 and 50% if you buy 2 (not sure if has to be two of the same thing?). Ends tonight they say

buckeejit · 26/11/2023 09:11

@Toomanyemails I like charbonnel & walker - last time I bought it Lakeland was cheapest. Hotel chocolate is lovely too. Have also bought Lindt this year

VeruccaSalty · 26/11/2023 09:11

Ooh snap!

buckeejit · 26/11/2023 09:13

@EdenGlen to maxx are good for snow globes

Miathecat · 26/11/2023 09:18

@Helluvawomen I bought a picollo xs Dulce gusto machine, their hot choc pods are split so each box has choc pods and a frothy milk pod, there’s also the limited edition celebrations choc pods at the moment, haven’t tasted them yet but bought as a stocking filler for my teen

LemonFrosting · 26/11/2023 09:23

Thank you so much for the Fossil codes!!

Are hot diamonds any good? I seem to remember people buying from there too?

Joevanswell · 26/11/2023 09:24
