Morning!

It's the final Rudolph Day of the year! A month today is the big day!

I'm sending DH off to his parents' house with the kids so I can wrap today. I usually fail to be Christmassy on Rudolph Days! 🤣

Crazy, WFH 4 days, office 1 day.

I bought some John Lewis baubles today. Two aliens and a gyroscope. Obvs! 🤣

I hope you find somewhere nice to go, Crazy.

Another frosty morning here, it's definitely starting to feel like Christmas season!

I sorted NSPCC letters from Santa, (free) videos from Santa and DM's PJs last night. Ended up ordering from Freeman's, as they had some lovely ones on offer and then 15% off with BLC. Just DDad now, and DH but I'm not panicking about him because all he ever wants is Amazon vouchers anyway 🙄

It is frosty here as well, I am in bed and my feet are still cold which isn't good.

Our tree will go up on Sunday as I am working on Saturday. Can't wait. Love it when the tree is up.

I think I just need all the chocolate, sweets etc now. I suppose you would call them stocking fillers. I am tempted to get them stockings as we don't usually have them.

Crazy I hope things improve soon.

Blooming frosty here too. 🥶 ❄️ It was a cold dog walk where the dog learned about hreakinh ice to get to puddles! That was an experience he wasn't expecting! 🤣

I have everything either ordered or in the house and wrapped now, other than DH's stuff, as I tend to decide how to split his gifts once I have everything.

I had just over £50 in my TopCashback account yesterday, so I am spending it wisely on booze from Sainsbury's! 🤣 Bailey's is back on for a tenner, so I've got two of those, three fizzy pink Moscato (which is cheap and cheerful, as well as not amazingly alcoholic!) and two boxes of Staropramen on the order next Tuesday.

Firefly, I think somebody said there weren't going to be any M&S discounts for a bit due to the imminent Advent calendar thingy Gary Barlow, anyone?!

Yes. It's showing that it'll be wet when we get the keys to the house. I hope it's dry the day we move the week after so the carpets don't get trashed. 😩😩

25 it’s snowing! Just flurries but still…

Beautiful frosty mornings here, definitely feels Christmassy. Am about to go into the garage and get out all the trees and decorations ready for going up from tomorrow. Need to find DS’ reusable advent calendar too.

Cold here and sad news that Shane McGowan has died .
Fairytale of New York has always been my favourite song , let alone Christmas song . I sang it (probably the best singing I ever did in my life ) when I was in labour with DS 24 years ago . It was played on a Festive Tunes Loop .
I don;t approve of the way they took out the unsavoury words though . It was written with those lyrics , keep those lyrics .

Dec 1st tomorrow .
I'll do the Dec 1st Boxes
Drag DS out to the barbers (he's looking a bit like The Joker now )
Then when DH finishes work , a massive Brunch , some Greggs donoughts and pastries
And a load of laundry and tidying .
Then I;ll shove DH up in the attic for the Christma tablecloth/towels/mats/shower curtain

I bought a garland today, wanted dh to help me put it up but I still have washing to hang up and advent calendars to get our. Plus a few other house decs. It was so festive walking in town this morning in the freezing cold and snow flurries.

🥶🥶🥶 here. Car said 0° when I popped out just now. Way too cold!

We put the bathroom Christmas towels out earlier, as the ones in there went into the wash. I also put a roll of Snowman loo roll into the holder to be used next.

Towels and loo roll are as far as we go for now.

DH went to WeRChristmas the other day to collect our garlands. The boot is now full of garland! 🙈🤣🎄

1st December , it is starting to feel very real and close now

I have a busy few days ahead , Dec 1st preparation then on Saturday DD and I are going to ABBA Voyage
Then Sunday to relax and Monday I have booked annual leave to tidy and do some recycling .
And we have to make a detour past the Very Decorated House near us .........after dark I think you could see it from space !

I might need to celebrate the new mnth by wearing my new non-Christmas but festive fairisle jumper .

And because it's bally freezing !

Morning. Awful nights sleep. I have uni today so need to leave in an hour and it’s -1° out there 🥶

I don’t feel ready for Christmas at all! Also think we need to buy bil’s step daughter a Christmas present which dh wont have thought about (he hasn’t thought about a single present though).

Morning all. It's been icy here but with clear skies so it feels Christmassy (especially on the walk home as some houses have their outdoor Christmas lights on).

The plans for today: swap mugs, towels and some dishes fir Christmas versions, put out Christmas Bath mat, candles, diffusers and soaps and buy tree!

It feels very odd not doing the tree. Our neighbours will wonder what's wrong with us, as we normally go early! 🎄🎄🎄

My Christmas do is tonight (no doubt sending me to #Whamhalla!). I won't stay out long though, as the train back from Liverpool gets quite lairy beyond about 10pm! 😬

I have bought my tree! The car smells amazing. It is currently in the garage waiting for Scrooge DH to saw the bottom so I can soak it in water!

I am watching QVC (TSV is a Dyson Airwrap , but I have a Dyson hairdryer which DD claims joint custody of . I think when she leaves home I;ll find my Dyson has gone with her )
Multi-tasking by cleaning the kitchen sink , my nemesis .

Need to get to bed now , we have a supermarket delivery coming and I need to clean the kitchen (the glamour that is my life )

Morning! Afternoon tea with some friends later. Ds decided against football this morning which I’m very pleased about as it’s freezing. Dh couldn't get in his van as the doors were frozen shut 😅

I've just walked the dog. It's very bloody cold. All the cars are igloos!

Breakfast now, then into town to collect things from various shops to finish my shopping (along with the two deliveries coming today) and get an order from Asda (a bit of food but also printer ink and Frog tape for decorating the new house!). I've also got stuff to return to Next, and a cheque to pay into the building society.

Then it's home to get packing. Exciting!

I am also doing afternoon tea with a friend later @WreckTangled :)

Most of the decorations are up now just need to finish off today.

Morning. No snow here but everything is frozen solid.

I had my works do l yesterday as well Fluffy. I was home early but was quite merry I decided in my drunken state that I should probably get around to swapping the summer duvet for the winter one. Was a great idea as my bed is now super toasty but it took me ages! DH was so confused as I'd told him I needed to sleep - he found me maybe half an hour later struggling to put the sheet on. Oops!

It's Christmas decoration day in our house today. DH will go in the attic while I do a quick top up clean downstairs. Then we're out for lunch. Then I'll be putting decs up (and sorting through them as I need to clear some out, the amount we have is ridiculous).
We're using the artificial tree this year so will probably put it together tonight and decorate it tomorrow.

Am currently listening to Christmas tunes while we get started. Am determined to block out the stress and feel the festive cheer today

I had only 6 hours sleep last night (had to get up for the food shop delivery)

Did laundry
Changed the sofa cover ( nightmare , it is a bind to get on and off !)
Christmas cushions are on it .

DD and I went to ABBA Voyage , it was abso-bally-loutly freezing .
I'm having coffee and running on the high of a good night out but I;m off to bed soon and I will sleep like a log .

I ordered a Walking Dead Tshirt for DD from The Cats ( DD and DH are ploughing their way through TWD then there's Fear TWD and Daryl ) she is obsessed . I've told them they aren't watching it over Christmas . It is not in the least bit festive

DH binge watched "Peaky Blinders" over Christmas a couple of years ago . he very nearly earned his spot under the patio .....
