I love the fact that the nn of the person who said this to me is @chocolateisavegetable - very apt!

In message two are the links and info from last year - if anyone has anything they'd like me to amend or add, please do tag me and I'll update.

A reminder not to post affiliate links in the thread but that MN do change amazon links shared by posters into MN affiliate links.

Please do watch the thread rather than post to mark place to make it easier for everyone to keep up and find relevant info.

So if you click on the pink hand warmers photo nstead of the black ones, the voucher box below changes not to £5 off but to a 30% discount.

Thank you ! I can’t see anything below but it shows up when I add it to my basket.

In desperate need of VR experts please! I've messed up dps Christmas present and what he wanted (tickets) are sold out. So I'm looking for a vr headset. Can anyone advise on if the pricey occulus etc models are worth it vs the ones you stick your phone in? How does it work with buying games etc? We do have a nintendo switch and a pc here if that helps, as I see there are all kinds of systems 😬

psuedocream3 · 17/11/2023 08:25

@Blessedbethefruitz I would go for the Meta Quest 2 personally currently £249.99 with free £50 amazon gift card. The benefit of this one is that its an all in one system, you dont need wires connected to a computer to run it, and you can download the games straight to the headset. Only thing is you must have a Facebook account to use it.

I bought my husband this one a year or so ago, I'm secretly hoping hes buying me one this year as I want to play Green Hell VR but I don't think he will. The quest 3 is a better experience but It's alot of extra money which I couldn't justify.

PurpleSkittle · 17/11/2023 08:30

1kg bags of Lindor chocolates down to £17.50 (the equivalent of 5 of the small boxes) 3 different flavour options, great for home made advent calendars or Christmas sharing

JanBlue · 17/11/2023 08:33

where is the Lindt balls offer please?

Edited to add: ignore - just seen clicky link !! 🙄

PurpleSkittle · 17/11/2023 08:35

@JanBlue I had a cut and paste fail on my link so had to go back in and edit it. It's there now 😊

OliverBabish · 17/11/2023 08:36

Need some advice - I wanted the Fire HD 10 for DD but the only option in the colour she wants has ads. She’s 6 so I’m a little unsure if this is appropriate! Will there still be ads on the kids section?

JanBlue · 17/11/2023 08:36

@PurpleSkittle no worries - it was fixed by the time I posted. Thank you 😊

Redcherries · 17/11/2023 08:37

Thank you! My daughter loves Lego and has wanted the Pac-Man set for ages, it’s one of the very few things she’s asked for this year, £45 off as a member plus a free small set to add to her stocking! Fantastic, I’d been looking for a discount for weeks.

PurpleSkittle · 17/11/2023 08:39

Does anyone have a valid Argos money off code they could PM me? The higher the better as I'm looking at a laptop...

Runforwine · 17/11/2023 08:41

@Cubic My son attended a special school too. Here are some of things I've done in the past, trays of doughnuts and or cakes, they take them into class and share them with the kids at breaktime. If you knit I made the 4 boys in my ds class hats. One year I made up pots with different herbs, cheaps ones from asda some went in the school garden, class room and some the teachers took home. I always buy the taxi driver chocolates and fingerless gloves for the helpers on the bus.

Cubic · 17/11/2023 08:56

@Runforwine thank you, great suggestions.

Blessedbethefruitz · 17/11/2023 08:57

@psuedocream3 I have that one in my basket but still reading up. Is there much nature content, animals and such? Thinking for ds who will want a go!

Heresapickle · 17/11/2023 08:59

@Blessedbethefruitz I have to say I'm not sure. Green Hell VR is where you wake up in the Amazon and have to figure out how to survive, build shelter, search for food, survive animal attacks etc. There is The Climb 2 which is immersive VR rock climbing across beautiful landscapes. I haven't got access to the app store at the moment so I cant check but I expect there is enough content to keep him busy. My husband seems top use his most for travelling the world and exploring places.

Edit - sorry just seen you said DS! There is national geographic stuff where you can be an animal, etc loads for kids I would say.

A few threads ago I remember talk about make-up storage and Debenhams seems to have a few good deals. Would people recommend them as a good place to buy for decent quality or somewhere else?

Not sure if already posted (I need to sit and catch up!) But this babyliss hair curler set would make a lovely gift with the case and mirror etc. It was £69.99 a few days ago and now is £52.99!

I have a referral for £5 off a £25 spend which I will pop on the Referral Board for anyone interested.

ruralwanderer · 17/11/2023 09:39

I don't suppose anyone has a Gear4Music discount code that I could use? I've tried all the ones that I found online but none of them have been recognised and I've got a big purchase to make. Thank you! SmileFlowers

@YoongiMarryMe

Edited

Is there a trick to getting the £10 Bodyshop baskets reduced even further, or am I asking too much? Can't seem to get the referral codes to work for me and a bigger bargain would be even better!
