Need some inspiration. We have only been married 16 years.

So fair I have him a Lego technic helicopter. I have never gotten him Lego before, he has it on his amazon wish list and it's an extremely Lego heavily year for the kids so that makes sense. Christmas Day will be spent building.

Anyway, other than that, I've come up with nothing. He's 43! Looking for some inspiration. Thanks.

I am getting DH a cinema subscription. He used to love going to the movies but he hates the excessive cost. If I buy a year as a subscription he can go when he gets a chance or just because!

I really struggle with ideas for my husband. This year I’ve got him a day making a knife with a blacksmith but that might be a bit niche!

That's actually really cool! He would love that! Thanks

Airpods. I think every time he's been for a run this year he has complained only 1 of his current pods have charged so I think he'll be pleased. Other than that the usual aftershave & slippers. I'd like to get some smaller bits so will be keeping an eye on this thread.

I’ve got him tickets to a musical in London that he’s wanted to see for ages.
Also one of those magic bullet blender/chopper things (he’s a keen cook).
And he’s hinted at Rick Stein’s new book “Simple Suppers” so ds is buying him that.

PermanentTemporary · 13/11/2023 20:58

Last year I got dp a Flint and Flame knife as we'd seen them at a food show and he'd really liked them.

This year I'm paying for us both to have Spanish conversation lessons as we're going to Spain in February.

But I do want to get him something physical... possibly the Rest is History book but I think he might be buying it for me! Looking here for ideas.

I'm getting mine some leather work tools that he's been after. And some of the books from his wishlist. I try and listen out to suggestions as he suggested, but he doesn't make any!! Following for inspiration...

DelurkingAJ · 13/11/2023 22:21

Mine wants an airfrier. So that and the boys will get him shirts for work (because some of his are dead) and something else to be determined. He also wants a soup blitzer and garden voucher. His stocking tends to be the fun gifts where I run a bit mad.

Mummymummy89 · 13/11/2023 22:24

I'm getting my dh a box of artisanal chilli sauces. It comes with little fancy cards with tasting notes on.

Following for more ideas though because I feel I ought to get him a bit more than that

Mummymummy89 · 13/11/2023 22:25

I'm also tempted to get a bread making machine but I'm worried that'll seem like a gift that's really for me...! I'd never use it myself but I'd expect him to make me bread with it. So maybe not for Christmas...!

An Xbox game, thermal cup, NFL jersey, a set of trees for a model train scene, dremel tool for model trains, some flex track for model trains, Xbox controller.

SpamFritterSandwich · 13/11/2023 22:29

Gig tickets to a band we love, a nice earthenware cooking dish and a few books and foodie treats

damnitdamnit · 13/11/2023 22:32

Ha I just read this as what are you getting your husband's male partner!

A milk frother like https://www.johnlewis.com/dualit-handheld-milk-frother-black/p111083159 he's into his coffee and I'm tired of seeing him heat milk in the microwave in a mug and then transfer to a cocktail shaker to froth it up 😂

I've got DH an Anglepoise lamp, an iron miniature of one of the Wild Atlantic Way signs, a Lego Aston Martin and a few other bits that I need to reacquaint myself with.

stinkingbishop · 13/11/2023 22:49

A weather station for the garden. Have lost count of the amount of times he has moaned about how unreliable the BBC is since they changed provider. So he can blooming well do his own forecasts!!!

Laurendzx · 13/11/2023 22:51

Just been watching Emily Norris’ gift guide for men, some of them looked really good

Wanttobeok · 13/11/2023 22:54

New hair trimmers (he's asked for those just need to check his mum hasn't bagsied that idea)

Matching leather(ish) holdall and toilet bag for when he travels for work

New pants!

A whisky tumbler with racehorses on (sounds awful but he has a share in a racehorse and it does look very pretty - thanks etsy!)

HeddaGarbled · 13/11/2023 22:59

He’ll tell me what he wants nearer the time, but it’s usually clothes or a good bottle of whisky. I’ll get him a couple of surprise extras: a book or vinyl LP, chocolate, nice pot of marmalade or similar little treats.

catscalledbeanz · 13/11/2023 22:59

I feel boring but the usual aftershave, books, and whiskey here. It's so hard to buy for men.

NovemberRain23 · 13/11/2023 22:59

Mine wants a Air Tiles because he loves looking at where his tools are ( he's away a lot) and his van that other people borrow all the time.

Odd balls boxers from his favourite rugby team. I wanted to get him a Christmas jumper but they've just refunded me as they didn't update the website. 🙄

I've got him a vintage postcard of his favourite place in the world and a an old linen bus sign which is hopefully arriving soon so I can get it framed. He quite likes stylish decorative things.

kikisparks · 14/11/2023 09:39

Starbucks voucher and Starbucks blonde roast coffee, probably a new reusable cold coffee cup as he only has one. And a deep tissue massage.

BaconAndAvocado · 14/11/2023 10:12

Tickets to see his favourite band from the 80s, Depeche Mode.
I haven’t booked tickets for a music concert for ages, couldn’t believe how speedy they’ve become 😳
