Thanks @snowmanshoes for the title!

Hello everyone, so nice to see you all. Pull up a chair, have a mince pie and a peppermint latte and share your Christmas bargains and ideas. In message two are the links and info from last year - if anyone has anything they'd like me to amend or add, please do tag me and I'll update.

A reminder not to post affiliate links in the thread but that MN do change amazon links shared by posters into MN affiliate links.

Please do watch the thread rather than post to mark place to make it easier for everyone to keep up and find relevant info.

A massive thank you to those who have contributed and/or run the prequel threads this year. I can't believe it's another year! I started these when DD was a baby and she's just gone into Year 8!

Thank you @WetFlump and @BadgerFace that is a speak and spell and lite brights ordered!

My best Christmas ever in 1986!!

bluebellsanddaisies23 · 09/09/2023 10:19

@SgtCatherineCawood that sounds right up my DD's street - although I'm sure there will be fisticuffs if she plays with her older brother - there is usually a blood bath when Monopoly comes out!

17caterpillars1mouse · 09/09/2023 10:19

Glad to have found this thread again! It's either my 4th or 5th year of following and I need to be really organised this year as dc3 is due at the end of November!

No bargains to share atm but on the subject of Christmas books, The story orchestra book of the nutcracker is lovely. Beautiful pictures and it plays snippets of music from the ballet. We have lots of these books and both dds love them. I have The Planets version on pre-order for space loving dd2 this year.

Pepsi key rings on Etsy could be easily adapted too. Sorry for your loss.

@Ichangedmynameonce there us a referral thread but not exactly festive. I’m sure other chats are more suited.

DN like a rubber duck so ordered this for a bit of fun.

If anyone sees any offers on either

LANEIGE (partially the lip scrub)

and

SOL DE JANEIRO

Please let me know. I bought my daughter £80 worth of SOL DE JANEIRO for her birthday as they had a great deal on back in June and I got a good discount + some stuff for free.

Now she wants the big shampoo and conditioner for Xmas and they are £23 a bottle.

My daughters would love this too so keeping my eyes peeled!

Hi all. Am looking to get a couple of gaming chairs for ds9 and ds11. Would like the ones that look like a curved rocker, and that fold away, with headphones port. Can anyone recommend any? Not too bothered about fancy brand or design - plain colour would be my preferred option! Is it best to wait until black Friday? Also - any recommendations for gaming type headphones? Tia.

WetFlump · 09/09/2023 11:30

Yes that’s odd? I’ve tried adding to basket again and still seems fine, free delivery in uk? @fourelementary

christmaspudding43 · 09/09/2023 11:53

Cheeky request... is anyone able to help me out with a student beans discount for sportsshoes.com? It would be much appreciated given the cost of the bloody trainers 😭

Does anyone have a code or has seen a bargain on a phillips smartsleep wake up light. I can't find it for less than £188.

Blessedbethefruitz · 09/09/2023 12:35

@Topbird29 We have one of these and it's brilliant! This particular one goes down to around £40 every so often on amazon. Princess peach is always £60.

Aldi will do the giant squishmallows nearer the time for £20

Ds1 loves his and it's good as new despite being squished all year.

Sideorderofchips · 09/09/2023 13:16

Rubber duck advent calendars are awesome. Chips the eldest collects rubber ducks so she loved hers last year

MrsPottsSpout3 · 09/09/2023 13:26

Thanks @mogtheexcellent just ordered that, love the idea of a chapter a night to build up the excitement!

RainbowZebraWarrior · 09/09/2023 13:36

Someone was talking about making potion bottles for Halloween on the last thread. I know Hobbycraft sell them, but me and DD decided to make our own. We've been collecting jars and bottles for ages. I've just ordered this pack of 'poison labels' from Amazon. £2.79 with free delivery. Other sellers prices range from £6 to £11 so seems like a bargain.

I think it was last year there was talk of the crimpit devices

They are currently on offer on their website. And they do a wrap one now as well as their square one

Crimpit

Edited

I need Crimpit advice please!

Do the square ones only work with sandwich thins? And would the cradle thing they're selling for the toaster work with the wrap one?

I'd be very grateful for help!

Squ1ggle · 09/09/2023 15:23

I think it says the cradle is just for use with the square one

Jedstre · 09/09/2023 15:36

Ahh, it’s September that means it’s Christmas thread time.

I was in Costco this week and they’ve got some of their Christmas stuff out. They do lovely chocolate truffles, two tins boxed together, so got those for DH. Bonne Maman advent calendar was there, which I got a previous year. Also the double sided wrapping paper is brilliant if you’ve got two kids, really helps differentiate their presents. I bought a roll a few years ago and still some left.

Justhereforthechristmasthreads · 09/09/2023 15:44

Saw someone mention earlier in the threads about the book Santa needs a wee. There is one in the works 10 for £10 offer by same author called father christmas comes up trumps

They had a few other christmas books in the same offer
