Anyone else not been able to cancel the lookfantastic box? They are saying I have to pay until March! It's rubbish as well 🙁

tootsnwoocake · 03/11/2022 07:47

Nike are offering 25% off when you purchase 2 selected items with NIKE25. It's not on everything unfortunately.
It's a members only deal but it's easy and free to join. You get free delivery on all orders when you join too.

I've had the same issue. Been getting it for a few years and tried to cancel a few months back - because when I'd signed up it was on a 6month rolling renewal I've had to wait until the min 6month term was up before they'd cancel the subscription.

Very have some great discounts on toys in their Black Friday sale st the moment. A lot of the items we have needed have been cheapest there this year and even cheaper than the lowest prices on Amazon over the year.

In case it helps for anyone else struggling to buy for sons - we ordered this over the door basketball hoop. DS7 will love it and it's got great reviews and cheaper than anywhere else

Further up thread there was a laptop tray kind of thing on Amazon for £15, does anyone still have a link? I can’t seem to find it now!

I’m wondering if anyone has any recommendations for toy farm animals. I don’t really want to pay Schleich prices if I can help it, (long story involving a fully functioning set of existing Schleich animals that DS1(who has additional needs) doesn’t play with but can’t cope with DS2 playing with. I basically don’t want to have my life’s savings invested in Schleich.) They don’t need to be that quality but I don’t want to buy the ones where the animals look like they’ve been involved in some sort of science experiment gone wrong.

This made me laugh! I know what you mean, some animals can look very scary and weird 🤣

Not sure how old DS is buy we have a set of disney ones where 1 came each week with a book. They loved it when they were younger and dd (10) still plays with them occasionally now.

Could you look second hand for a bundle then wrap up in a jungle or farm themed box (the works do nice ones in their 2 for £7). These sorts of things are usually in v good condition and often you wouldn't know they weren't new! We did this with some dinosaurs last year. I got a bundle for £10 off Facebook then put in a dinosaur box.

We used to like the monopoly/cluedo and game of life junior editions. Snakes and ladders, draughts. Or if you want more child like games mine loved bugs in the kitchen, tooth fairy game, buckaroo, pop up pirate, orchard toys games (tummy ache and shopping list were favourites).

They liked jenga, connect 4, guess who and dobble too.

Those looking for heelys, house of Fraser have them here for £15, there are smaller sizes for £11 as well

Thank you so much for this. My daughter has outgrown her heelys and wanted a new pair. For the same money I was able to get her a new pair and also a bigger pair that will fit me. Mwahahaha so excited!

Someone also mentioned Funny Bunny which is on offer on Amazon. Hands down the best board game we’ve ever bought for 4-10 year olds.

Headabovetheparakeet · 03/11/2022 09:56

@Luckycatt

£25 off what value of order?

LuckyLuckyWoman · 03/11/2022 10:02

Not necessarily christmas, but 30% off all coats at Matalan

christmaspudding43 · 03/11/2022 10:03

Do Next ever do discount codes? I can't remember the last time I bought something from them but just popped in and seen something.

Vans order arrived yesterday and I'm so happy with my order - everything is perfect so thanks to the original poster!

Does anyone know if Halfords ever do discounts? I see they have £5 off on the website but anything more bargainous than that? Looking to buy DS his first pedal bike.

If you have AA roadside type cover download their app as they have discounts for Halfords on there, I think they are single use though

Luckycatt · 03/11/2022 10:07

Headabovetheparakeet · 03/11/2022 09:56

@Luckycatt

£25 off what value of order?

Sorry, £25 off £85. It's perfect for velvetiser purchases.

LunaCrystal · 03/11/2022 10:17

@Room4onemore My little one is obsessed with playing Frustration and Connect 4 with her older siblings. Also Hungry Hippos

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 03/11/2022 10:18

Thank you so much for all animals that actually resemble animals recommendations. The Argos ones look a real bargain so I’ll grab a couple of those. I’ve been trying to find some second hand for a while but rather like the hunt for the elusive Mr Bull and his talking digger, the prices seem really high, especially when you add postage.

Gustavo1 · 03/11/2022 10:24

Thanks User I'll check those out

ChristmasCwtch · 03/11/2022 10:36

@Room4onemore my 4.5 year old loves Frustration, Funny Bunny, Junior Monopoly, Connect 4 and Flipping Monkeys.

I’ve just bought Junior Cluedo for Christmas, which I think he will like. I’m returning Junior Game of Life as it looks a bit boring and I’ve order the regular GOL instead.
