No title nominees so it's a Rubbish Reastie title!

.....yes,they smell absolutely gorgeous. We are repeat buyers and have been for years. The candles are hand made and well packaged. Dd's favourite is "Wooden Heart".

woodwaj · 02/11/2022 20:56

@6poundshower @Reastie can I nominate stocking fingers for the next thread title 😅

Headabovetheparakeet · 02/11/2022 20:57

Another Amazon toy one...

This Lego friends organic cafe set is a great price at £12.50 (half price). Shame my DS isn't interested in anything that doesn't have wheels!

LEGO 41444 Friends Heartlake City Organic Café

@dementedma what smells do you recommend? I loved luma candles-great scent throw. However they seem to have been oos for everything for ages!

BloodyMabel · 02/11/2022 21:03

@AhmenGwendolyn one of those chocolate first aid kits? Christmas dinner pot noodles? Little travel game they could play if they get a spare moment, there’s a mini version of Operation on urban outfitters.

Any ideas for something like these from Celtic & Co but more bargainous? Needs to be sheepskin inside and not just fluffy synthetic lining. Mens sizes (11/12)

I can’t bring myself to spend anything like £160 on a pair of slippers!

I'm looking for similar to replace my old Celtic bootee style slippers which are on their last legs > see what I did there?!Grin <

However ...

I've had them for at least 10 years, worn them to death all winter during that time, they are still sooooo toasty and while they look a bit tatty they honest to god DONT pong - I've just made DH smell them and he agreed Grin

So while replacing mine new will be £80 - I'm definitely waiting for a good discount - I've tried several cheaper pairs and sent them back as they don't come close.

Oh and they still make them in the UK too

Fuckingfuckssake · 02/11/2022 21:08

@Helssjbells Marks and Spencer's stock Nobody's Child, I won't shop with them directly anymore as their customer service is shocking, check them out on Trustpilot.

buckeejit · 02/11/2022 21:09

@dementedma - sorry seen you've already rec'd one!

For women’s I highly recommend Shepherd of Sweden.

Similar story - lasted 5+ years and still going strong - and never any smell even though I generally have whiffy feet 😅.

Unfortunately they don’t do the kind of style that DH is after.

i asked on last thread but a hopeful ask again - last year someone recommended a site for graphic novels , can anyone remember it?

Yes! Costco do boot slippers and mule slippers with 100% shearling wool lining. From memory (I bought two pairs of the boot slippers last year), they are available for men, women, and children, in chestnut brown and mid-grey colourways, and the adult boots were about a quarter of the price you've quoted from Celtic and Co.

Although I can't be totally sure, I think I saw them in the store recently.

I can vouch for their comfort and durability and although not identical to the image you've shown, they look very similar.

chinupoldchap · 02/11/2022 21:36

Those looking for heelys, house of Fraser have them here for £15, there are smaller sizes for £11 as well

Joliana · 02/11/2022 21:43

Where can I find my possible amazon vouchers for money off, please?

Thanks

2lostsouls · 02/11/2022 21:43

I don’t understand this - but might help someone? I’ve been checking the price of a switch game (Minecraft dungeons) on Amazon , hoping for a price drop to use a voucher I had. Tonight I discovered that when I googled it, it came up on the Amazon website for £19.99, when it is still showing at £28.92 on the app. It seems to be exactly the same version - so it’s worth checking the website vs the app it seems!

Thanks! I've been looking at an alternative to the never reduced wood wick candles that I love so will give them a go!

chillimice · 02/11/2022 21:51

DD has finally decided on what she'd like for Xmas and it's an oodie (a 'proper' warm one, not the Amazon knockoff I got last year Confused) There's £20 off at the moment, is this as good a deal as I'm likely to get? Sadly I don't need a bundle..

Reastie · 02/11/2022 21:51

this site has a closing down sale with an extra 25% off with code ‘bye’ .

Adelais · 02/11/2022 21:51

@lozabella Thanks, I’m thinking of just buying with very now. Even if there are any Black Friday deals they might not be any better than 20% anyway. Just looked and you can order the standard switch for delivery in a few weeks.

Reastie · 02/11/2022 21:52

should have mentioned, they sell yum boxes and insulated boxes type stuff

Vans order arrived yesterday and I'm so happy with my order - everything is perfect so thanks to the original poster!

Does anyone know if Halfords ever do discounts? I see they have £5 off on the website but anything more bargainous than that? Looking to buy DS his first pedal bike.

AA members get 10% off in Halfords.

impossiblerequest · 02/11/2022 21:54

RobinRobinMouse · 02/11/2022 20:48

@impossiblerequest Are you sure you are thinking of the right shop when you talk about Very and buying on credit? I've been using them for about 10 years and have never bought anything on credit. You definitely don't have to so don't be put off by that if they have something you need at the best price.

I think when they started up they were credit only - or maybe the adverts just gave that impression. Thanks for confirming you can pay without - I had a look at the site and they’re trying to sell their VeryPay but do say you can pay in full without (as well as with). There isn’t much detail on this before checkout so I was a bit worried about signing up to something accidentally.

ItWasTheBestOfTimes · 02/11/2022 22:05

I took a credit account out with very a few years back to get a discount and they send me so many discount codes throughout the year that I've just kept it open. They've just sent me a 20% off everything except apple products and it works on things that are already reduced too so got lots of toy and clothes bargains for the DC.

ItWasTheBestOfTimes · 02/11/2022 22:07

It does let you just pay in full anyway when using the codes which I do 90% of the time but also do the odd order on buy now pay later so they don't close my account.

@Eve was it Forbidden Planet? Forbidden Planet

Dreamingofwalden · 02/11/2022 22:25

If anyone is after Yotos or Connetix YesBebe has £5 off £50 and £15 off £100.
Both are expensive but also the most played with presents in our house.
