Any ideas of perfumes like Marc jacobs daisy... doesn't need to be cheap but any deals appreciated! Also any Chanel deals?!

torthecatlady · 30/10/2022 19:52

@LateNightTalking any luck on the vans order? I've tried tracking mine on the website but it says it can't be found 🧐

shash1982 · 30/10/2022 19:56

@Tigger83 I thought that the bodyshop cool daisy smelt exactly like Marc jacobs daisy of that helps.

Hotel chocolate are my fav especially the salted caramel one but they are not barginatious 😅

Really? I just can't like Hotel chocolate hot choc, I've tried it a couple of times and it's so grainy and thin... I'm definitely in the minority with this opinion I realise

LunaCrystal · 30/10/2022 19:59

Smiggle, 3 for 2 full price including Harry Potter. Ends tonight

There is NOTHING left in DD's size in Hype. The last thing I ordered for her (age 5-6) was far too small despite her being 5. Very little left in age 7-8.

LunaCrystal · 30/10/2022 20:00

Also the red advent calendar is £17.50

BobStrangeNameforaGirl · 30/10/2022 20:01

Thanks for all of the aftershave advice. I've made a list and will set about looking for a bargain Xmas Grin

Next do their own very similar perfumes. Can't remember which is which but they'll know in store.

I love the stuff. Iv never thought of it as grainy. It always seems pretty smooth when I make it.
It can be thin though if you don’t add enough. I buy the bigger packets and add however much I like instead of what they recommend.
We buy tons of the stuff over winter.

Has anyone seen any gingerbread house kits around. I saw one in b and m but it was tiny and would be rather fiddly.

ChristmasCwtch · 30/10/2022 20:31

I bought one from Flying Tiger, haven't opened it but it was £4 I think. I think I'll have to make up the icing "glue" from icing sugar we already have but last year the house we made didn't get eaten anyway!

Spotted these Write your own Story books heavily reduced on Amazon today. They're an intro to creative writing for children. I've bought a couple for birthday - will be a good present with a set of pencils or similar.

Write Your Own Storybook

These are great for my nieces' birthdays next year. Thanks for idea!

We have one of these, my heavy handed 6 year old plays with it daily!
It goes really fast , he makes little ramps with it and films it on his IPad!
Defo a great buy at this price! (Even though it took about 2.5 hours to build as one page of the instructions right at the end wasn't 100% accurate so I ended up taking it apart & starting again!)

chocolatepudandchocolatesauce · 30/10/2022 20:58

Was anyone else charged shipping for their Hype order even if it was over £40?

Elpheba · 30/10/2022 21:05

Thanks @LemonFrosting - that is a fab price, my DS will love it.

Can I ask for ideas for 7 year old girls birthday parties? I feel like Lego is a safe ish bet- but is the Lego friends stuff too stereotypical? Have seen the Lego friends bakery set is £10 down from £15 which seems like a good option. Or polly pockets are generally easy to get on sale but I don’t know if that’s riskier than Lego. I don’t want to spend more than £10 but I want it to look like more!

Soscrewed · 30/10/2022 21:11

@LemonFrosting my almost 7 year old would love the lego shark car thing above. Or crafty things. Or the lego friends thing.

TheBigFish · 30/10/2022 21:28

@Elpheba how about the Harumika on Bargainmax? Have bought for DD9 and a friend's DD6 and they look good. Good comments on here too for them.

Puffalicious · 30/10/2022 22:10

Thanks lemonfrosting another stocking filler for DS.

LateNightTalking · 30/10/2022 22:13

@torthecatlady just checked and mine still says "processing" so I'm guessing it's not looking good!

Travelplans · 30/10/2022 22:16

Would the Lego shark thing be good for an 8 year old?
