Ho ho ho and welcome to the bargain Christmas thread - home of the discounts for Christmas shopping.

Title is inspired by the turtle doves/gloves and in my head it's set to the 12 days of Christmas. I'm actually tempted for us to think up a new 12 days of Christmas nearer the time with all of our best bargains Grin

Lots of love to @Deckthewallswithpaintandplaydough s little girl xx

Ive got a couple of questions on buy a gift if anyone knows?

Does the gift period start straight away?
Is 23% as good as it gets or is it worth hanging on?

Closedlips · 27/09/2022 12:56

I don't normally ask for recommendations on the bargain thread but I'm after some ideas for a teenager interested in zodiac stuff all of a sudden?! She has a star sign necklace and bracelet but I'm not sure whether anything else exists in this category!

Urban outfitters have some bits and bobs if you search ‘zodiac’

Fabuleuse · 27/09/2022 13:24

@Alwaysroomforcake amazing. Thank you so very much.

@Deckthewallswithpaintandplaydough I think that's an excellent name for a unicorn.

IggyAce · 27/09/2022 14:03

@Reastie thanks for the new thread.
@Deckthewallswithpaintandplaydough i hope your dd is on the mend and glad she loves her unicorn.

Its £10 Tuesday at Boots.
Also if you have an Alexa make sure you disable the Amazon order notifications otherwise your gifts maybe revealed to the recipient.

If anyone has a discount for Merlin passes I'd be very grateful? Looking to buy them for the family this Christmas.

TwinsAndTiramisu · 27/09/2022 11:28

I can remember from previous years, there was a bargainous Christmas jigsaw. I need one this year (minumum 500 pieces, preferable 1000) but hunting on Amazon I can't find that one anymore or a really good priced one this year, so if anyone knows of anything, would be very grateful of the heads up...

@TwinsAndTiramisu try the works, they have lots online between £5-£7

Buyagift frequently do 25% off.

They also often do £10 off a £29+ Spend as well as £20 off, £30 off, £40 (can’t remember what the min spend is for each discount) so sometimes that works out better.
Expirey is from purchase date.

Needtostartover · 27/09/2022 14:24

I think the discount benefit depends on what you’re planning to purchase. There is often £10 off £19/£20 spend which is great if ordering something like the GoApe nets offer. I think I’ve seen 25% before. There have been quite a few offers from them in recent weeks.

Someaddedsugar · 27/09/2022 14:29

Hope your DD is ok @Deckthewallswithpaintandplaydough - thinking of you all!

Boots had some good sale items in their Durham Arnison Centre store - wooden ELC toy sets for £3.49 and a gro egg for £5 along with other baby/toddler items.

NoDairyNoProblem · 27/09/2022 14:34

@Stom2 thanks for the Boden tip… between my £10 voucher/delivery etc DD has new sunglasses for 97p!

PigsInBlanketyBlankets · 27/09/2022 14:39

"If anyone has a discount for Merlin passes I'd be very grateful? Looking to buy them for the family this Christmas."

Wait for a sale, I think they have them around 3/4 times a year

IndigoTinsel · 27/09/2022 14:39

Thanks @Famousthehero been debating trying them for ages so going to give it a go now thanks to you posting that deal!

STom2 · 27/09/2022 14:40

@NoDairyNoProblem Great! I absolutely love their stuff. Tend to not buy too much though as despite being adorable it's pricey for kids clothes. Particularly at the rate they grow!!

Ea134 · 27/09/2022 15:03

I got some stuff at 50% off and then a further 20% off a few weeks ago so I would suggest waiting until Black Friday perhaps?

Goldenphoenix · 27/09/2022 15:17

Thanks @Famousthehero I have ordered some, great price!

Windingshrubberies · 27/09/2022 15:39

Thanks @Famousthehero just bought myself some new period pants. Every little helps 🤗

Jobotheclown · 27/09/2022 16:03

mac1974 · 27/09/2022 16:23

@Famousthehero that's a great offer on the pants. I use this brand period pants and they have been a total game changer for me. I'm going to order a couple of pairs. Thank you.

EvilHerbivore · 27/09/2022 17:06

@Closedlips Lisa Angel have some nice zodiac bits too

LemonFrosting · 27/09/2022 17:51

Famousthehero · 27/09/2022 12:24

Thanks for the new thread Reastie!

maybe a Christmas gift for ourselves, but if anyone was thinking of reusable period pants, Comfy pants are 2 for £10 today only with code 10tues
so £12.95 for 2 pairs delivered. I’m going to give them a try…

Thanks for this! Going to give these a try myself ad I tried a moon cup but didn't agree with me!
