It's early September and we're already on thread 3 - wonder how many threads we'll get to this year! Any bets? Mine is 29!

If you have a referral link for a website, do post it on this thread

Hi folks, I’ve just popped into B&M and they have the initial stockings, gift bags and bottle bags back in store!

Are they about the same price as last year?

Flora4 · 09/09/2022 12:21

Just sharing a couple of Tesco bargains
£9 for Lego Minecraft The Bee Farm
And picked up Smiggle pencil cases £1.50 and notebooks 75p
Obviously store dependant.

Are they about the same price as last year?

The bottle bags were £2.50, the gift bags were £9 and I think the stockings were £6 but can’t remember.

My advent gemstone bracelet kits came today from Stone Science on Facebook, fast delivery and they look nice. Pleased with them for £8.95.
Their Facebook page says limited numbers of the fossil and bracelet kits left.

Random one but feeling nostalgic for them. Has anyone seen red plastic santa boots similar to these. We used to have them filled with sweets

All the ones I can find come from America and the postage is ridiculous.

One DC is after a giant penguin squishmallow thing. I've seen them in Aldi for £19.99.

Just wondering if anyone knows of any cheaper than that? Thanks

BadgerFace · 09/09/2022 17:58

My Thrift parcel arrived today - 2 like new pairs of jeans and a nice trackie top, all good brands and £10 including postage for everything - total bargain.

I’m glad things are (finally) turning up… PHEW!!

Lots of people on here have said their kids want it so seems like there is going to be a lot of interest in it certainly

Ruralretreating · 09/09/2022 18:50

Someone upthread was looking for themed play-doh sets - there are some deals on Amazon today but I haven’t checked on camelcamel or vs other stores to see if good value.

NoSun · 09/09/2022 18:55

Thank you to the poster who mentioned the thrift bargain, managed to get loads of bits for my autumn wardrobe, only one thing wasn’t as described and they offered to refund me and sent a pre paid postage label, I’m not going to bother as it was less than £2 but impressed with customer service! Absolute bargain.

RJnomore1 · 09/09/2022 19:45

Not a massive bargain but dobbies are putting their Christmas stuff out and some if it half price sale (must be left from last year).

they also have half price garden furniture, bbqs and fire pits

MerylSqueak · 09/09/2022 20:04

£10 for 16 pots of playdough in morisons. I've not bought playdough for years so I'm not sure on prices but it looked a good deal to me.

@Ruralretreating I’ve just bought the Play Doh Dentist for £10.49 which is the lowest price on CCC, if those are the types of sets you are alluding to, pleased with that as DD will love it

Isonthecase · 09/09/2022 20:09

I've had a look through but can't find the post. What was the recommendation with the spicery and are they any good? Tempted to get a kit for someone who is teaching himself cooking (we think he's trying to impress someone) but there are a LOT of choices 😅

IDontDrinkTea · 09/09/2022 20:15

Tesco are selling these Yankee candle gift sets for £20 with a club card. They smell lovely (although perhaps a bit summery) but a very good price - normally £40. Contains 1x large jar 538g- Coral peony
1x Medium jar 340g- Mango Lemonade
1x small jar 104g - Island Blooms
2x votives - 49g - Fairy Floss & Vanilla Frosting

My daughter wants the gabby dolls house, is there a chance it will sell out by Christmas?

I asked this one the last (maybe the one before?) thread and there were a lot of people saying they were getting the doll house too.

I bought it to be sure I didn't miss out. I bought it from the entertainer, signed up and put my childs birthday 3 weeks from the next day. I got the 20% off birthday code and bought it with that so I got the figures to go with it pretty much for free.

Soscrewed · 09/09/2022 20:21

Thanks for the decorations @Ruralretreating . Not sure I fancy them but what a bargain! May grab some. I'll bookmark them.

RainbowZebraWarrior · 09/09/2022 20:34

For those that have been happy with their Thrift orders, they have an Ebay shop. I've been trying to find 100% cashmere jumpers for weeks, only to be outbid and see second hand ones go for £40+ via Private Sellers.
I filtered my results to 'buy it now' and lots of Thrift items popped up. I got two perfect 100% cashmere designer jumpers / cardigans for £10 each with free P&P. One of which had an original retail price of £180

Haveyoubrushedyourteeth · 09/09/2022 20:59

@JubileeTissues the Aldi Squishmallows are (for the size especially) highly likely to be the cheapest you'll get. Our Dd collects the things and the Aldi ones are definitely the most bargainous. My advice would be to get one if you spot it, as last year on these threads the Christmas ones in there were like gold dust.
