It's early September and we're already on thread 3 - wonder how many threads we'll get to this year! Any bets? Mine is 29!

If you have a referral link for a website, do post it on this thread

See post 2 for some (hopefully) useful links.

Hoping somebody can help me please, has anyone seen this travel cup on a British website ?
My DS3 is mad on anything Viking related and has mentioned he would like this, but I can only find it on US sites.

Thank you @Justhereforthechristmasthreads - a great excuse for another B and M trip!

Went to M and S and the red label areas on the shelves were all empty!

B and M/Home Stores had loads of Christmas stuff. I got footpacks decorated with reindeer for the Christmas Eve box for £1 each. My DC love a pamper!

They also had lots of hair/lip/face/foot masks and packs reduced, starting from 59p. I'm going to do a pamper basket with these. They also had a really good size white cloud shape bath fizzer with all the rainbow colours that will come out of it. It was £1.99. Other fun stocking finds were a giant gummy bear and gummy poos! I couldn't see the Cadburys advent bar, but they had unusual flavours like tropical pineapple and rocky road. Felt quite excited and Christmassy shopping today!

Rocky Road Cadbury bar?! Now that sounds delicious!!!!!

@KindleAndCake thanks for the dunnes link! What's the thickness/quality of these like? I saw some in dunelm and was disappointed in the quality, didn't seem as thick or warm as my tesco own dressing gown!

Also I now have massive fomo from the link and would love to be wandering around sand dunes chatting with friends whilst wearing a super cosy hooded blanket rn.

I can confirm they are very thick and toasty - I love mine -DS bought us all one from Dunnes last Christmas- everyone’s fav present

My thrift order has just arrived. Apart from one pair of trousers (for my husband) that are a bit shiny from being ironed too hot, everything is in really good condition. I'm really impressed with it for the price I paid.

FilthyforFirth · 08/09/2022 21:59

Hi @FairytaleofNewHampshire not sure if this is useful/you already know but House of Spells in London has a viking section.

If you type viking into the below site it shows you all the merch they have!

Fuckingfuckssake · 08/09/2022 22:16

@FilthyforFirth Thank you for your suggestion, I hadn't heard of them before. There are plenty of things on there he would love.

FilthyforFirth · 08/09/2022 22:40

You're welcome @FairytaleofNewHampshire I get a lot of Harry Potter stuff from there and can vouch for the site!

It’s Half Price Friday again at Boots.

If you spend £60+ you get £10’s worth of Advantage card points. Today’s offers include a half price blood pressure monitor. There are also gift sets and hand creams which could be useful stocking fillers which you could put in a £2 Champneys Weekend Retreat bag

I found several discount codes online for Boots but none worked with what I wanted to buy.

Can I please ask what the appeal of the hooded blankets is?

I reckon my dd would love one, but I also can’t help but think a dressing gown would be warmer.

Mine is warmer than a dressing gown. I wear a DG when I have showered and getting ready in the morning. My Oodie is on at night to keep me cosy. It doesn’t look like you’ve not been dressed all day in a dressing gown. It’s big enough to cover you on the sofa.

AesSedaiGreenAjar · 09/09/2022 08:22

Groupon are doing a £35 gift card which gets you £50 in total. Nice gift for a teenager or if you wanted to chose your own sportswear

JubileeTissues · 09/09/2022 08:27

Comfier than a dressing gown too, nothing tied round your waist. You also can't put the hood up on a dressing gown because it doesn't have one!

Amazon.co.uk have a variety. Type in Viking travel mug.

Christmasmcchristmasface · 09/09/2022 09:02

And you can’t tuck your legs in to a dressing gown and be completely cocooned

Soscrewed · 09/09/2022 09:29

I loved these little personalised reindeer place settings that were popular here last year. £1.25 each so I got one for all.the children we know. Well packaged and presented from a seller on etsy here

I'd reccomend them if you didn't buy last year.

For £1.50 they sell a hanging version too and have a few other things but nothing different enough for me to order this year. Has anyone seen anything for a similar bargain price? I may go for the knomes from the same seller but at £2 each they feel less bargainous!

From time to time there are great cashback options on quidco/ topcashback for etsy so may be worth waiting until then to buy them.

Ruralretreating · 09/09/2022 10:57

Hi @Soscrewed I just looked at the reindeer - thinking about them to mark stocking hanging places! - and these mirrored place names came up which seem quite bargainous at 85p each, if the more modern style fits your decor scheme

Sheknowtheyrhinestones · 09/09/2022 11:41

If anyone else was looking for the lego set I mentioned before, it is now on sale at zavvi and iwoot for £89.99

Fuckingfuckssake · 09/09/2022 11:55

@Sheknowtheyrhinestones if you haven't already bought it IWOOT do 20% off with a referral code, I'll pop mine on the appropriate thread, you take your chances with customer service though.

Sheknowtheyrhinestones · 09/09/2022 12:04

I tried a few codes (new customer etc) and none would work. Are they not reliable? I was going to order through zavvi but it was easier on topcashback with iwoot

ClaraLane · 09/09/2022 12:05

Hi folks, I’ve just popped into B&M and they have the initial stockings, gift bags and bottle bags back in store!
