Morning all, woke at 4:30 again and nabbed the 22nd December, bit tired now though.

CrazyBaubles · 25/10/2022 09:56

Morning. Cold here 🥶

why how are you feeling today?

dreaming it sounds like your move north was a great plan. Love that you're doing craft clubs and classes etc, sounds idyllic.

I feel mean. DH is genuinely feeling awful with this cough/cold thing he has, to the point he's actually taking medication which he never ever does but he's doing my head in. His coughs and sneezes are so loud, plus he keeps insisting he's not 'ill' because it's just a cold, while also sniffing and moaning that he's boiling.
We're a rubbish combination - I'm not a particularly patient nurse and he is the worlds worst cold-sufferer 😂

DreamingofItaly2023 · 25/10/2022 11:14

cold here too crazy

my social life has exploded since moving here, so much on. Have attached a pic of my pumpkin.

Hi Crazy, still poorly. I have a chest infection so hopefully after some antibiotics I will start feeling better. Signed off for this week again.

ConstantlyCooking · 25/10/2022 14:29

I really hope you feel better soon why. It sounds v miserable.

NoWordForFluffy · 25/10/2022 19:03

Evening!

Stupidly busy day here, catching up from a day off. Absolute nightmare having time off in this job!

I'm off to aqua shortly. Can't be arsed, but I didn't go last night as DH wasn't home in time from giving blood.

Penultimate Rudolph Day today. I'm starting to get to grip with the kids' lists, which is good. I would like Lego to do their offer where your VIP points are worth double around Black Friday to sort another gift for DS. I also now have gifts to tell my mum about too, which is useful!

It's all coming together!

Happy Rudolph Day Xmas Grin

I'm still at the List Writing stage of Christmas Planning , it's a bit early still for the stock to hit the shops .

I;ll get DH up in the attic on Friday to look out the Hallowe'en decorations, but the Christmas ones will have to wait a bit longer .

CrazyBaubles · 25/10/2022 19:32

Cute pumpkin dreaming

Sounds awful but glad you're signed off why - rest makes all the difference doesn't it?

I completely missed that today is a Rudolph day. Bugger. I wanted to spend this one ordering gifts and filling in my lovely planner but instead im studying. Maybe I'll manage some Christmas cross stitch later.

Very proud that I finished some alterations on a coat today. Botched some of it because I have no idea what I'm doing but it fits and doesn't look terrible 🥳🥳

morning. Looks like sainsburys don’t do deliveries here on the 23rd as no slots have been released. The nearest sainsburys is an hour and a half away so perhaps it isn’t work their time. I have the 22nd though and that is close enough.

DH has taken the car for a service and then later I have three of DS’ friends over for tea.

WreckTangled · 26/10/2022 08:09

Morning. We’re going to the cinema today. It’s really mild here, was 16° when I left at 5:40.

CrazyBaubles · 26/10/2022 18:11

Evening. Finally finished work - jumping straight from that to some sewing because I've promised dsis part of a Halloween costume which I abandoned it in frustration a week ago and time is running out.

Had a strange afternoon meeting a batshit neighbour. He apparently lives on the street behind mine and was knocking doors, asking people to sign a petition to either have the council send someone around to collect all the fallen leaves or cut down the trees "because it makes everything look scruffy and the leaves come inside my house when I leave the back door open" Confused
We have lots of little green areas with trees on. I love them - lots of birds and squirrels in them - so I'd sooner sigh a petition to protect them from this man.
He was not impressed with me - apparently me and my immediate neighbours don't
understand the issue, even though all our front and back gardens are covered in fallen leaves. He would not accept that we get the frustration but we like the trees and won't be signing.
So that was fun 😂

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 26/10/2022 19:14

BatShit neighbour indeedy Crazy you'll be doing an Is my Neighbour being unreasonable thread soon.

He wants the leaves picked up , he can crack on .
He wants the trees cut down- not going to happen . Head tilt and raised eyebrow at him Halloween Grin

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 26/10/2022 19:28

Crazy your neighbour sounds like he should be on one of the wards in the hospital I work at.

Not feeling any better yet, although my cough has definitely died down a bit and I managed to sleep on my side and not on my front which I have had to do for the last four weeks. I just feel so exhausted and blllleeeeuurgh (technical term).

NoWordForFluffy · 26/10/2022 20:00

Did your antibiotics appear, Why?

I've had a loooooong day at work. 12.25 hours with a 10 minute break. My task list and email inbox are far healthier now though. Phew!

And now 2 days off. I really need these!

OP posts:
NoWordForFluffy · 26/10/2022 20:02

Crazy, your neighbour is certainly batshit. I'm sure the council will be 🙄🙄

OP posts:
CrazyBaubles · 26/10/2022 21:06

I'm so glad the batshit guy lives on the street behind and not on mine.

70 I did consider a thread but starting them isn't my thing. I can just imagine the pile on about how mean I am for not hearing him out 🙄

why I can imagine (remembering working as a MH support worker and a sign one service user had stopped taking medication was their insistence that a neighbour was deliberately making it rain so they couldn't dry their washing).
I hope you start feeling better soon!

Fuffy I'd love to see the face of the council person that receives the complaint 😂
What are you up to with your 2 days off?

I finished the sewing machine projects for the week. Next on the hit list is finishing my cross stitch card then making a stocking for my niece (sewing machine) and a crochet cup of coffee for my dad (he asked for it, no idea why).

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 26/10/2022 21:41

Would you believe I ended up with two lots of antibiotics Fluffy.

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 26/10/2022 21:42

Crazy we have many patients saying odd stuff. One thought her neighbours were communicating via radio waves through the walls and TV. Another one thought there was a dangerous gas emanating from her radiators.

NoWordForFluffy · 26/10/2022 21:59

Oh. Win! Better than none. 🤣

Crazy, we're going into Liverpool tomorrow for the planet trail and River of Light. Full day of stuff. Then Friday is a bit more of a chill out day as I'm exhausted from work.

OP posts:
DreamingofItaly2023 · 27/10/2022 06:18

Hope the antibiotics work quickly why

enjoy your days off fluffy

very tired here as DS was sick twice in the night. The sickness bug has been going round the school for two weeks now and finally got us.

NoWordForFluffy · 27/10/2022 06:24

Morning.

Hate persistently waking early...it's rare I sleep later than 6, even if I go to bed late. Annoying.

Pay day today, so I'm looking in earnest at the kids' lists to see what I'm getting now and what I'm waiting to get.

DD wants roller skates (quads). Does anybody have any experience of such things to assist me with a good pair?!

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 27/10/2022 06:59

Morning. I woke up at 5:15 fluffy 🥱 we’re going to Brighton today, I’ve used my Clubcard vouchers for lunch at ASK.

iloveyankeecandle · 27/10/2022 07:17

@NoWordForFluffy got my dd a pair for her birthday from skate hut. They were £40? She lives thrn! Great pattern and really sturdy!

NoWordForFluffy · 27/10/2022 07:27

Are they adjustable ones, @iloveyankeecandle? I was looking at Skate Hut the other day, but the choice just confused me!
