That is alot of money Fluffy. I know some of the early entry packages probably cost that much. I still want it to be £30 though 🤣

TheWoollybacksWife · 14/10/2022 13:37

DS aka Captain Subtle texted me this morning with "Iron Maiden tickets on sale..."

CrazyBaubles · 14/10/2022 13:48

I looked at the Pink packages too. They're all VIP or early entry now, £300+. Who pays that? 😳

My Elton John ticket has cost a fair bit but MIL and my dad have split the cost between them as a gift because we were meant to go in the summer but had to miss it as I had Covid and DH gave my dad my ticket.

I love going to gigs and shows but agree Fluffy, the costs can be ridiculous these days!

CrazyBaubles · 14/10/2022 13:51

😂😂 Woolly. At least you're in no doubt about what he wants.

Reminds me of my niece who showed me some unicorn trainers and said 'they'd look nice on my feet wouldn't they Auntie Crazy. Can I come shopping with you?' But she's 4 so I forgive her for being a bit blunt 😂

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 14/10/2022 14:41

I bought ABBA Voyage tickets for DD and I , in the DanceFloor Zone (after reading threads on here ) , they were £200 for both by the time I added Insurance

Going end November and looking forward to it Xmas Grin

Morning!

It's been rather wet this morning so far, but is meant to brighten soon, as well as being windy, so the washing should dry well once it's out!

I'd prefer to just be told what was wanted, Woolly. Life is so much easier then! 😁

I have apparently ordered a critical mass of cheese for Christmas. Gonna need more crackers. Xmas Grin

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 15/10/2022 08:19

Do you buy a selection of Critical Mass Cheese Fluffy like one of those cheese boards they have in naice resturants.

With grapes and apples .(Personally I'd bypass the celery)

NoWordForFluffy · 15/10/2022 08:43

I have selected my own cheeses, other than a Butlers' cheese selection from Booths. It's probably not close to a naice cheeseboard as I like some cheeses which probably wouldn't be fancy enough!

This is what I'm getting from the local shop.

I do put celery out, and I'll probably cut some grapes up, as I haven't gone past doing that for the kids yet! 😁 Plus homemade chilli jam!

FFS - I have typed this message 3 times now! Are MN planning to sort the bloody glitches any time soon? I don't post nearly as much as I used to because it's such an ordeal!!

Anyway, that looks like just the right amount of cheese Fluffy!

It's a bit wet and miserable here. I'm not looking forward to spending an hour chasing DD around a muddy field while DS is at football training this morning.

I got the email confirmation through yesterday so it's official - we are going to Lapland in 8 weeks 😁😁😁 Just need to sort the kids' passports now!!

I spent last night looking at thermals and have bought full sets of ski wear for DH and DS off Vinted, so just need to sort me and DD out now.

WreckTangled · 15/10/2022 09:30

So exciting Firefly! I removed using my nose to take pictures as I didn’t want to take my ski gloves off 😂

it’s lovely and sunny here today. I’ve just put some washing on and need a shower, no one is dressed yet (well, dh is as he’s at work).

NoWordForFluffy · 15/10/2022 09:33

Firefly, that's not all of the cheese! That's just one order. I have more from Booths, plus we get huge wedges of Stilton and Shropshire Blue from Aldi as well. 🧀🐷🧀🐷

How long are passports taking at the moment? Is that this weekend's task? It's all very exciting! 🎅🏻🎄

NoWordForFluffy · 15/10/2022 09:34

Ooh, happy birthday @NerosFiddle! Do you have anything special planned? 🎂 🎉

OP posts:
FireflyGirl · 15/10/2022 09:35

We're only just dressed, wreck. DH has gone to get his flu/COVID jab and I've sent DS to get his football kit on. Half an hour should be long enough to put on 5 items of clothing, right?!?

FireflyGirl · 15/10/2022 09:42

Happy birthday Neros

Well, I obviously meant that was just the right amount of cheese for one person Fluffy 😉

Tried to get passport photos on Thursday but the machine wasn't working so that's this weekend's main job, although we won't get chance today. They're saying 10 weeks, so I'll have to pay for expedited which is 4-6 🙄🤷

NerosFiddle · 15/10/2022 12:46

Thanks folks. Heading to bottomless brunch now. I can't wait for it.

I need to get a good look for what cheese I need to order.

WreckTangled · 15/10/2022 13:15

Oh enjoy neros!

dd’s passport only took a week, it was a renewal but that was also in summer when there were all those issues.

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 15/10/2022 15:27

Happy birthday Nero. Have a great day.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 15/10/2022 16:46

Enjoy the Bottomless Brunch nero and Happy Birthday .

I'm making tomato soup in the SoupMaker ( I had some in the fridge looking sad)

I put the new Teddy (Dunelm) sheet on last night , lovely and cosy . I'd struggle to find a brushed cotton one to fit , the mattress is so deep !
DH was "What's this" ? all judgey , even though he was with me when I collected it Xmas Hmm
I just ignored him, he'll cope

CrazyBaubles · 15/10/2022 21:51

Happy Birthday Neros 🎂🥳

I went to town earlier - Christmas stuff is everywhere but I was well behaved and didn't buy anything.

I spent this evening trying to get to grips with the sewing machine and making a netted ruffle clown collar as a Halloween outfit for someone.
I think I've worked it out but I don't know why I struggle with the sewing machine so much. The bobbin / bottom thread kept coming unthreaded so I've finished with the nets and given up. I'll make the actual collar part tomorrow.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 16/10/2022 10:02

Xmas Grin 70 days
That's ten weeks in old money .

I'm scouring the internet for Fireworks/Guy Fawkes displays (as it's on a Saturday this year) but there's nothing except a Country Club .

Even the (fairly) local one is on the 12th ! Why ?

Covid will have cancelled the last couple of years and this year a lot of boroughs won't be able to put on free displays .

We used to go to one about 5 minutes walk (£20 for family ticket which was brilliant value when you think how ££ fireworks are )

WreckTangled · 16/10/2022 12:26

Afternoon. We went out for breakfast now we can’t be bothered to do anything. Ds is having a meltdown (again) as we wouldn’t let him buy something on the PlayStation, then the PlayStation crashed. If it hadn’t been that it would have been something else I’m sure.

Packed up all of DD’s books yesterday and that’s about it so far…

NoWordForFluffy · 16/10/2022 12:54

Afternoon!

I've been to the allotment, got home to shower and we're now on the way to swimming.

There's always something to cause a meltdown, Wreck. Hard work, isn't it?

When will you get a moving date?

OP posts:
NoWordForFluffy · 16/10/2022 12:56

Have to say, 70, it's weird having a firework display on 12 Nov, bearing in mind the actual day is a Saturday. How bizarre.

We need to see what's going on near us. Apparently very few places are having displays due to cost across the country. A church near us used to have one, so we will have to look to see what's on.

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 16/10/2022 13:05

Probably next week some time, we’re expecting to get the lays around 28th October and have a two week overlap to move.

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 16/10/2022 17:23

Our local firework display is on 5th November and it is £5. I can see most of the display from my front bedrooms so I tend to do that.
