DD has been weaned for 2 weeks now! Hurrah! I still haven't had any dairy, I think part of me is scared after all this time - either that it'll disagree with me, or that it won't taste as good as I remember 🤣

I don't think I'm going to bother making mince pies this year. I'm the only one who really eats them. Dh might have one or two the who season and that's it. I always buy ones from the bakery on Christmas Eve.

I wonder when Tesco is releasing their slots for Christmas deliveries.

One of my Christmas magazines, Firefly. Maybe GH as the recipe is back in this year's magazine.

We eat loads of mince pies. And we also give them to the class teacher / TAs with other Christmas baking instead of a gift.

I love a mince pie!

There's a recipe on page 26 of th GH Food mag , I'll post it on here tomorrow if Fluffy doesn't get in first though looking at the photos they need less mincemeat and more frangipane (much more)

I started preparing for the HGP yesterday. Determined to get more than 3 weeks into it this year 😊

We're not huge fans, either, Neros, but I like the sound of frangipane ones! I've got the GH food mag, I'll have a look tonight!

The weather has truly turned here. It's so so cold, garden is getting covered in leaves and it's so windy!
Im working in jeans, bed socks, T-shirt and jumper and eyeing up the fingerless gloves I bought.

I don't bother with Christmas baking here (because Im crap at it and don't eat mince pies) but I'm hoping FIL makes his festive shortbread again because it was lovely.

The weather has turned here today as well. I am feeling very chilly.

I got attacked by a patient yesterday (along with my colleagues) and I feel like I have been run over by a bus today. So I went back to bed as it was cold and I hurt. Just prised myself out now.

I do some Christmas baking. Usually mince pies and a Christmas cake.

I'm never very good at HGP, but I tend to do the whole house in a oner as I don't have an American mansion!

I've just bought DD's Fire tablet for Christmas. I went for an 8 inch once and we'll get a case at some point too.

Work was hell today after 3 days off. The person covering my work fucked almost everything up they touched. 🙄

Fluffy how annoying. I prefer it if no one touches my work when I'm off - I bloody hate piecing things together once someone has half arsed it or messed it up!

Exciting things happening here. I'm about to put together the cold frame / greenhouse thing ready for the chilli plants.

I make a half hearted attempt at the HGP every few years but I've never managed it properly 🤷‍♀️

whydoes Was it a patient who was unaware /not responsible of their actions or is this an reportable attack . Massive shock for you and your colleguue .

70 it was a patient who knew exactly what they were doing. It has been reported but I doubt much will happen if anything at all unfortunately.

It sounds very wet outside; rain is forecast all day. 🌧 ☔️

I did aqua last night and didn't die. Though the music wasn't working, so we did circuits instead, which maybe helped! I'm still snotty / sore throat today. One day my germs will go!

My dc have got sore throats and colds again. Second time since they’ve been back at school!

I’m back at uni today so will be leaving soon luckily I went to bed really early

I am finally starting to improve, managed a short walk yesterday although was left very breathless. Nose is still streaming constantly.

I have a training course about Autism today, which when you have two kids with Autism yourself may not be the course I particularly want to go on when there isn't much they can teach me but never mind. Maybe it will be interesting.

Firefly cold frame is all done. Very small drama (I put the front panel on upside down and had to remove and refit it 🙄) but it seems sturdy enough now.

Fluffy some sort of cold has been sweeping through DHs school and he's very nicely brought it home to me so I'm also feeling congested and sneezing a lot.

Also (tmi) I've woken up to find AF started overnight which means it's been precisely 10 days between the end of the last one and start of this one. FFS.

@NoWordForFluffy yes, Gdansk is lovely. All this area including Gdynia and Sopot is my favourite part of the country. I had my wedding pictures done there.
