Morning!

Another autumnal morning.

I still feel a bit rough from the lurgy, so I'm on fake Lemsip to get me going. I'll need to get some cough medicine airside too, else they person sharing my room will be kept awake by my coughing. 🙄

Morning. Still can’t move after the gym yesterday. Easy day at work though I think (hope). Dd is miserable as her one friend is off sick, I feel really sad for her but also she’s making me cross.

TheWoollybacksWife · 21/09/2022 08:18

Fluffy I've found Potter's Cough Pastilles are pretty good to help suppress a cough and the black Jakeman's throat sweets are good too and obviously neither of them are liquids so you can get them before you leave.

DreamingofItaly2023 · 21/09/2022 08:37

Stunning sky this morning!

hope you feel better soon fluffy. I am basically 90% snot at this point 😂

Morning (just).
Hope you enjoy Poland Fluffy and well done on the packing challenge!

Another recommendation from me for Budapest. We went about 6 years ago for a long weekend and it was lovely.

I have a question for gardeners - can I use the soil I grew potatoes in to grow anything else now I've dug them up? It seems a waste otherwise.
I want to grow garlic this winter if possible.

sueelleker · 21/09/2022 19:38

I just dumped my potato compost on the garden. I'm trying garlic for the first time this year too! I've got a 6 pack of 3 different varieties on order, and they're coming in January. I'm going to grow them in pots, and I'm trying to find out whether they'll be better outside or in the greenhouse.

WreckTangled · 21/09/2022 19:47

Have fun fluffy

I’ve been overpaid. I’m not impressed, on mileage of all things. My payslip makes no sense, my claim was £75 and I’ve been paid £450. Means I can’t budget properly for next month as I don’t know how much I’m actually meant to have (got our back dates pay ‘award’ too so can’t quite work it all out especially as I was taxed on the mileage 😤

CrazyBaubles · 21/09/2022 20:08

sue I'm growing everything in pots as we only have that or lawns and DH is desperately working on getting them lovely again.

Wreck that's so annoying. Will someone in payroll / accounts be able to help you tomorrow?

I'm about to start on Christmas gonk number 2 (for dsis) while watching the new bbc Keeley Hawes drama.

WreckTangled · 21/09/2022 20:10

I’ve already called payroll and all they do is raise a ticket for someone to look into Hmm

TheWoollybacksWife · 21/09/2022 20:21

That's pants Wreck. Can you move the "excess " to another account until they sort it out? It's their problem to sort out though.

DreamingofItaly2023 · 22/09/2022 08:30

I think as long as you avoid anything from the same family (tomatoes etc) you should be ok crazy. Maybe brassicas? And give the soil a bit of a feed?

so annoying wreck!

lurgy is not shifting here. On the plus side I am powering through my cross stitch.

I can woolly but need to work out what tax, NI and pension has been taken from it. I need all the money I can get. I think I’ll put £300 away.

I know lots of people who are unwell at the moment either with nasty colds, covid or gastro. Not nice at all.

If I were you, I would budget only £75. If anything, the remainder will be a nice surprise.

WreckTangled · 22/09/2022 11:33

I’ll do more than that as the deductions are at least £100. No idea how they’ve messed it up so badly.

NoWordForFluffy · 22/09/2022 13:28

Afternoon!

We're doing hardcore gig queuing in Poland!🤟

Payroll getting things wrong is annoying, Wreck. So much hassle to resolve.

WreckTangled · 22/09/2022 13:58

Have you been sampling the local beer and snacks fluffy?!

NoWordForFluffy · 22/09/2022 14:59

Of course, Wreck! 😁

Going home day today! Gig was great. I've not had much sleep over the two nights. Cannot wait for my bed!

I'm going for a wander to see the Old Town soon. Need to get some culture, ha ha!

Enjoy fluffy!

It’s raining here. Yuck.

xogossipgirlxo · 23/09/2022 09:58

@NoWordForFluffy where exactly in Poland were you? It's my homeland 😅Hope you enjoyed it.

xogossipgirlxo · 23/09/2022 09:59

Ah I can see now, you were in Warsaw 😇

NoWordForFluffy · 23/09/2022 10:50

Whereabouts are you from, @xogossipgirlxo?

I've been to Krakow before, and now Warsaw. It's a beautiful country.

NoWordForFluffy · 23/09/2022 10:51

Oh. This is the culture I am viewing!

Glad you're enjoying Fluffy! Lovely view.

Blue sky here but it's windy and cold. Lovely autumn day.

I bought a wooden cold frame in the Homebase sale yesterday. I was very excited but DH looked at me like I'm mad Blush
