I am looking at air fryers, but work is busy at the moment and weekends have stuff. I need to get on top of my Christmas prep!

I know not everyone is on Bank Holiday today .

I have some tidying up to do , go through the pantry . I will have the Queens funeral on but I'm not going to watch all of it .

It will be so very solemn and in complete contrast to the Jubilee that was only three months ago but seems like forever

Our Queen will be re-united with her dear husband .

I’ve got some washing to do and fold and we’re going to see PIL later. Ds needs to do his homework, that’ll be a battle.

I am en route to work, and actually have to have a big row of a meeting at 11am (someone else set it). Awake since 3:30 stressing about it but up since 5:30, now on train to office. "Eye of the Tiger" running round my head, and aiming for calm.

It's awful going into a meeting when you know it's going to be an argument. Good luck today biddy.

Ddog isn't very well - he woke us at 4:30 and 6:45am howling before being sick. He looks out of sorts but is also nagging at me for breakfast

I've finally made a start on my Christmas gnomes / gonks. I made the jacket (green) and hat (mix of plain and sparkly red yarn) last night so aiming to finish that this morning.
I'm going to make one for dsis too but her decs are less traditional colours so I'm going for grey/ silver hat and navy jacket

I worked for a while this morning, as I'm off from Weds, so the BH came at totally the wrong time. I did the large jobs which take big chunks of time, so tomorrow I should only have small jobs which I can hopefully rattle through.

I've got the funeral on. It's really moving listening to the choir and seeing the family procession. God knows how they hold it together.

While I'm not pleased with Truss as PM in general, I'm so glad it's her and not BoZo being involved in this. He's such a scruffy twat.

Charlotte looked like Mary in A Secret Garden. It was very cute. Can't believe they sat so quietly for so long! Not a tablet in sight - setting unrealistic expectations 🤣 (although I noticed Louis wasn't there 🤭)

We had family round for curry and I roped my dad into helping put the blinds up in the extension. Flooring down on Saturday and then it'll be useable. I can't wait!!

I've been tempted by an air fryer for ages but I currently have an instant pot, George Foreman and rice cooker on the worktops, I don't have room for more gadgets!!

Just popping on to add that you can fit a whole chicken in the ninja foodie air fryer - I did one yesterday, the trick is to start it off breast side down and cook for 30 mins, then turn it over and cook for another 30, comes out great!

It's so dark...and tricky to get out of bed! 🤣

Only full day of work today, as I'm off to Poland tomorrow for the rest of the week.

I'm still full of cold, so not sure if I'll go to aqua tonight. Don't want to spend 45 minutes coughing! 🙈

Morning. Agree about the dark morning Fluffy, I was so confused when the alarm went off as it felt like the middle of the night.

Where in Poland are you going? We went to Krakow years ago in January and it was lovely and really interesting.

Work is crazy at the moment but not with the parts of the job I enjoy 🙄

We've changed some holiday plans for November so I have 2 days of annual leave to move that need to be used this year. I'm thinking one towards the end of November to finish off any Christmas shopping etc and one in December for watching Christmas films and just relaxing after the busyness

I can highly recommend Budapest. I definitely want to go back and I really enjoyed travelling back by the various trains. We had a four hour gap in Paris yesterday so managed a walk up to Sacre Coeur a million fights of steps and dinner before the Eurostar home.

Today's plan is shopping and then starting the fruit for Christmas cakes. I've got a pile of fruit that I'll chuck in a tub and add lots of brandy and then use whatever I need in cakes and the various individual puddings I'll do for DH and MIL.

I have had the lurgy for the last 3 days and am feeling very sorry for myself :(

I've just completed RyanAir packing challenge, level 10...two nights of stuff in one 40x25x20 bag. It just fitted! 🤣

We're off to Warsaw to watch Biffy Clyro, so it should be good fun.

Dreaming, the lurgy is romping through us at work after our meeting. I cancelled aqua tonight as I couldn't face it. I hope you're better soon.

Woolly, Budapest is on my list of places to go to. Nice to get a recommendation.

Fluffy it was utterly stunning. We did the hop on hop off bus and got a free walking tour thrown in. My step count for that day was my highest ever.
