Morning.

Left the house this morning at 5. DS has an appointment Dublin. Fog was crazy.

CrazyBaubles · 10/09/2022 14:00

Slightly belated congratulations to your DS 70 🚙

Strange weather here - it's grey and cloudy looking but very warm. Making me feel a bit sick as it's stifling.

Car failed it's MOT and is out of action until next week. Not quite as expensive as I was expecting but not cheap either 🙄

DH & I went record shopping this morning as he's really enjoying the record player I bought him.
I found a new stack of Christmas albums that hadn't been priced yet and DH bought so many the guy let me pick 2 and gave me them for free Xmas Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 10/09/2022 20:13

Anyone for a potato?! Or sodding courgette?!

I'll do our Christmas dinner spuds tomorrow and get them frozen, ready to roast on whatever day we have our dinner this year. Once the rest have dried out, they'll go into a sack under the stairs.

We cleared a massive area of plot today. Didn't quite get it all dug over as I had some weeding to do, but most of it was done.

The plot will be cleared and dug over as things come out of the ground. Then I'll just need stacks of manure to cover the ground afterwards.

Two robins came to see me as soon as I got there as they know I put food out for them! They sat right next to me as I filled their bird tables. ❤️❤️

We just got home. I’m v tired but we had a really good day

ConstantlyCooking · 10/09/2022 21:52

Back in the school craziness- Fluffy I was looking for the Good Food magazine today- is it the get ahead edition?
Thank you for the offer Woolly. Hopefully I will get one tomorrow Smile
School asked us to wear black yesterday. I am not a royalist but walking past the embassies with flags flying at half mast and hearing the gun salutes yesterday was surprisingly moving. Watching the transition with all the ceremonies today has been really interesting.

WreckTangled · 11/09/2022 07:46

105 morning! Feels chilly this morning. I have to go food shopping in a bit. Checked my bank account from yesterday and I spent so much. Oops. Didn’t even get anything for myself.

NoWordForFluffy · 11/09/2022 07:55

Morning!

It's the one attached, Constantly.

Definitely autumnal out there. 🍂 🍁

Morning - autumnal here too , dry but no breeze , my laundry is hanging on the line all meh , barely moving .

I'm going to steer myself away from Christmas magazines this year except the Good Housekeeping one . I've got the last years GH Food one which is nice for a read through but I've only cooked one recipe from it Xmas Blush .
I fancy doing an Afternoon Tea in early December with the table set and nice sandwhiches , cakes and tea .then I can read my magazine in peace Xmas Grin

Costco had a few shelves of Christmas Wares but I had DD with me and she was in Uber Judgey Mode ( ie stick to the list Mother , no deviating )

CrazyBaubles · 11/09/2022 11:15

Still grey but warm here. No rain forecast so I'm sticking washing on the line and hoping for the best.

What did you spend on Wreck?

70 how did you avoid the costco Christmas stuff? At ours it was literally in the centre - even bay humbug DH couldn't avoid it last year.

I've had a good clear out in our bedroom this morning where we'd accumulated little piles of things to put away 🙄

Going to have some toast, do a bit in the garden then I'm out for lunch with my sister before coming home to walk the dog.

Going to see Joe Lycett tonight (tickets were DHs Christmas present last year). Should be fun!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 11/09/2022 11:51

She let me buy a sleeveless gilet thing that was right in the doorway bit ( it was £13 ish compared to the £40 in QVC so I nabbed it)

Next time I go in , it'll be just me , so I can browse Xmas Grin

Enjoy Joe Lycett !

WreckTangled · 11/09/2022 12:10

It’s actually boiling here. Shorts weather.

crazy I got Starbucks, dd jeans, a hat, a jumper, pjs, knickers (which apparently are no good), a t shirt, ds a onesie, t shirt and hoodie. Oh and a McDonald’s. £200! Oh and some sweets, expensive ones from the fancy sweet shop. I had saved money specifically.

WreckTangled · 11/09/2022 12:11

I’m jealous you’re going to see Joe lycette!

ConstantlyCooking · 11/09/2022 12:14

That looks good Fluffy. I am cautious because I bought a get ahead one a few years ago and it was light on recipes and heavy on adverts. 70 I sometimes use the recipes but the real joy is planning the menus for my fantasy Christmas 🤶

BiddyPop · 11/09/2022 15:01

Afternoon all,
I'm just having a quick cuppa with a proper egg sarnie for lunch in between lots of little jobs this morning and going to write a presentation for the afternoon. Over the course of the weekend, I enjoyed gorgeous sunshine yesterday so did outdoor jobs but had a quiet and wet morning doing indoor jobs today.

I'm trying not to buy magazines this year, I have so many things to try from previous years ones. Dh did admit yesterday that we will be travelling and that we'll need to stay in DMIL's with the dog. So at least I know (I had a feeling we'd have to).

BiddyPop · 11/09/2022 15:03

But for a change, I'd managed to avoid the shopping for clothes outing with DD - DH did that this morning in the rain. So he feels the pain too.

NerosFiddle · 11/09/2022 18:34

DH threw out my Christmas magazines. He doesn't understand why I keep them 🙄

I haven't found any in the shops yet and I had a good nose around Tescos on Friday.

DH has a big birthday at the start of December and we're having a party in our house. I'm just planning my menu for the buffet now. Trying to spread the cost so will buy a bottle of alcohol every week now until then.

NoWordForFluffy · 11/09/2022 18:44

Jesus, Neros, LTB! 😱😱😱😱

How many guests do you have for the party?

NerosFiddle · 11/09/2022 20:05

He's on his last legs Fluffy 😂

It's a small party only about 20 people.

Morning!

We've been up for ages due to a DV incident in our road which led to me calling the police and DH giving a police statement. It's gonna be a long old day today!

Neros, I thought it was bad that DH had taken upon himself to move my Christmas magazines around. Throwing them out would've seen me hit the roof!

Wet and miserable here. But not as wet as forecast, so that's something (we have a yellow weather warning for rain).

Oh dear fluffy how horrible.

it’s sunny here going to be 25°

You can fit more people in once you get that nice BIG patio , it won't look in the least bit suspect if you get one now .
Oooh , the Neros are doing up the garden for MrNeros birthday party.........come to think of it , where IS MrNero ...........?

We were woken at 5.30 by Police a couple of weeks ago , incident in our road , it is frightening Fluffy

WreckTangled · 13/09/2022 06:08

Mild here this morning 18° meant to rain later. September is such a meh month.

NoWordForFluffy · 13/09/2022 07:11

It's 17° and sunny here today. But I'm off to a work meeting in Stockport, so I'm currently waiting for my train to arrive.

I went to legs, bums and tums last night. Dear god, that was a killer. My poor legs weren't my own afterwards! Aqua aerobics tonight. My body will think I hate it. 🤣🤣

Morning folks.

I'm in Biddys part of the world today. Ds has an operation this morning. We're waiting on the doctor to do her rounds.

70 I don't know if I'll need a patio. But I have told him that he needs to build up my collection again. What if someday I needed to see a table setting from 2006 🤷‍♀️

NoWordForFluffy · 13/09/2022 08:22

You can get old Christmas mags on eBay! #justsayin' Xmas Grin
