It feels bizarre setting up the first Christmas thread on one of the hottest days of the year, yet here we are!

Lovely to see you all; take a seat and grab a mince pie as they get passed around.

Please do alert me to anything for the next thread's page of links (I'm starting fresh this year). Hope you've had a good year and looking forward to celebrating and sharing our bargain buys.

If anyone is buying for little ones, Aldi have a baby event this week. I just picked up a few baby books including the That’s Not My… books for £2.99 each. They also had Disney themed number puzzles, xylophones and shape sorters (Winnie the Pooh, Lion King or Toy Story). There were some nice little baby towel sets as potential stocking fillers too.

Beauty Pie have free delivery this weekend and I'm sure they offer a free month trial of their subscription.

FluffyFluffMonster · 20/08/2022 12:54

@AlabamaWorley22 do you have a link and your referral code please?

Crimsonbow · 20/08/2022 12:58

@Pixie2015 thank you for the Grum deal!

@Sideorderofchips gorgeous cat!

@LemonFrosting I got a smiffys one from amazon for a tenner last year. It's £19 at the moment but perhaps worth keeping an eye

AlabamaWorley22 · 20/08/2022 13:17

Sure - my link is below - thanks in advance if you use it. I wasn’t sure if I’m allowed to post here so it’s on the other board too.

Fitbit is now a Tesco rewards partner with 3x voucher value. Just ordered an adult Fitbit and kids (£50) Fitbit for teen and younger DS for free, well P&P but I’ll let it go this time.

Wolfcub · 20/08/2022 13:28

Not Christmas as such but the instant pot 6-1 odour ease clear view air fryer is 40% off on the instant brands website

FluffyFluffMonster · 20/08/2022 13:42

Thanks @AlabamaWorley22 I think I used it correctly

Isonthecase · 20/08/2022 13:43

Think I've got in there with the second thread baby this week (obviously @Sideorderofchips thread cat baby counts!) so doing a fair bit of Christmas shopping whilst up feeding.

Have bought some lovely large muslins in the kidly sale that would be ideal if anyone else has one due soonish and their liewood cuddle cloths look pretty good for the money too. www.kidly.co.uk/products/kidly/2-pack-swaddle-blankets/13740

Also spotted a flash sale for 20% off on Kitri and they have some gorgeous potential Christmas day dresses that should cover up a bit of bloating if required (I plan to require it 🤣). Still treat prices but every little helps.

LemonFrosting · 20/08/2022 13:53

Thanks @Crimsonbow I shall save it on my amazon list! Don't want to spend a fortune on one as he's not usually into dressing up so come Xmas he may not even like it!

EverydayIsPJday · 20/08/2022 13:54

Aww congratulations @Isonthecase I hope you are both doing well 🥰

Blixem · 20/08/2022 13:57

Congratulations @Isonthecase . Newborn snuggles are the best.

choosername1234 · 20/08/2022 14:22

I'm looking for Monopoly electronic banking edition (contactless card rather than cash), I've set up a camelcamelcamel alert as Amazon have it only at £65
I was wondering if anyone had seen it anywhere cheaper? Thanks!

Someaddedsugar · 20/08/2022 14:26

Congratulations @Isonthecase - hope you're both doing well Smile.

Liberty have a summer sale on and reduced the prices today - a couple of hampers priced £50-£60 if anyone is looked for a foodie gift.

Peabody25 · 20/08/2022 14:37

@choosername1234 this one? www.argos.co.uk/product/8092900 £38 at Argos

OMG, I love Mumsnet, thank you!! Can't believe I hadn't seen that one

RainbowPhilosophy · 20/08/2022 14:47

I have just ordered this lego stuntz set for DS5 and thought some of you might also like it... it's a lego set with a pullback motorbike that will then "drive itself" when you let go, with an obstacle to avoid and barrels to knock down to "win" which looks fun: Lego stuntz set

Was £17.99, reduced to £14.99 and a £4.99 voucher to apply making it £10.

DrAddisonForbesMontgomery · 20/08/2022 15:23

Amazon have some decent savings on Kindi Kids this afternoon if anyone has little ones to buy for.

AlabamaWorley22 · 20/08/2022 15:29

I know Papier was so 2021 (and for what it’s worth - I didn’t really rate those pens we all got practically free last year - they were a bit scratchy) but I just wanted to say how lovely the stationery is, if anyone is looking for a nice journal, notebook, planner or a set of notecards.

I ordered the set of 10 monogrammed notecards in one of the Desmond and Dempsey prints and they are lush - they have a beautiful design on the back of each card. They’re pricey at £25 but if you use a referral link (and a new email address, as I did 😉) you’ll get £15 off your ‘first’ order, bringing them down to a much more reasonable £10, which is great for a personalised gift I think.

Link to the notecards is here: www.papier.com/stationery/stationery-sets/notecards/monogram

I plan to order a few sets for Christmas gifts this year but might hang off in case they do a 20-25% off deal again.

There will be any number of Papier referral links (incl my own) over on the bargains & referrals board in case anyone wants to do this in the meantime.

The other good deal I got last year was some lovely rose gold and pearl earrings from Latelita for £9. They sent a generic code for £10 off, if I recall correctly, which could be used over and over with no minimum order. So this is another one to keep an eye on as this was a great gift for aunts and mums.

christmaspudding43 · 20/08/2022 15:44

@Talisin thank you for the info on turtle doves. I have way too many pairs already but tempting...

Two cheeky requests: one is for a lakeland discount code if anyone has one. I am a member and normally get them but nothing so far and I even livechatted them to see if I'd missed them but apparently not everyone always gets them.

I'm also in the market for a Celtic and Co discount code, they often send a £10 no minimum spend voucher through but perhaps not until later in the year? I feel like I'm particularly early this year but I am done with summer and longing for autumn and christmas shopping and getting cosy!

mummyof2boys30 · 20/08/2022 15:46

Does anyone happen to have an argos 10 off 100 voucher going spare before i spend £360 😭

I think I have £10 off Lakeland but you have to spend £60 - would that be any good to you?

Am so glad it is this time again! I am looking for wooden toys for 5 year olds for Santa's gifts. Struggling now they're older. Used to be so easy!

@Mrsuntidy does your 5 year old like Brio train sets?

Have you seen Kapla? It's not cheap but it is awesome.
