It feels bizarre setting up the first Christmas thread on one of the hottest days of the year, yet here we are!

Lovely to see you all; take a seat and grab a mince pie as they get passed around.

Please do alert me to anything for the next thread's page of links (I'm starting fresh this year). Hope you've had a good year and looking forward to celebrating and sharing our bargain buys.

For those that missed it last time the no.7 indulgent collection is back down to £14 at boots. Saves over £65. It's a lovely gift box too.

Thanks, I tried to order 2 and it said insufficient stock.
It changed it to 1 and I tried to order 1 but I've been kicked out of the order now so not sure if that worked either Sad

DrAddisonForbesMontgomery · 19/08/2022 08:06

Just tried again & it's completely out of stock now.

M&S had shaped bath bombs for 49p rather than £3.50 yesterday. That's a few stocking fillers sorted! I was going to buy a skirt too until the woman at the till told me all sale items were non-refundable.
On the subject of refunds, Sainsburys have recently introduced cardboard hangers for their clothes and I found out that now, if returning clothes, you need to have the unworn clothing, the receipt and the correct hanger.
I've seen a few threads recently about how more companies are introducing charges for returns or tightening up the time period so it is something to be aware of in general.

Discovered recently that sainsburys won't even exchange without a receipt

peasando · 19/08/2022 08:09

Gah just missed the boots deal while I was making breakfast, out of stock now!

TheGirlWhoLived · 19/08/2022 08:11

Some nice bits in the Debenhams 70% off home sale plus free delivery over £60.

I’ve got a tricky year this year as dd is very nearly 12, dd2 almost 9 and ds1 is easy peasy as he’ll
be almost 2

the older 2 have no interest in toys any more really which makes things less exciting and more expensive!

CoffeethenCrochet · 19/08/2022 10:12

Nice range of mugs in the emma bridgewater end of summer sale. Reduced to £16, from £22. Plus other things too.

Earlymenopausesucks · 19/08/2022 10:13

Gutted to miss the stacking bracelets, I knew I shouldn’t have had an early night 🤣.

Local Sainsburys had lots of toy reductions, worth looking. I got the first for friends little boy having got his sister the notice board deal posted here.

So my OK Beauty boxes arrived this am. The one on the right was the "First box half price" and I'm v chuffed with the contents snd there is a voucher for x 2 magazines.

One on the left is the free gift one although I'm not sure it's as exciting and would need to work out values to see if it was worth £93.

On the whole though im v pleased as I managed to get this for a fiver delivered ... a few days later the same offer was £7.50 and today on the website the free gift is a single product.

And once I'd taken a few minutes to set an account up, to be fair it was quick and easy to cancel.

Definitely worth checking their offers in future ... I'd be tempted to do it again using DHs email.

Meant to say I'm planning to cherry pick my favourite bits and use the rest to make up a box for DD Christmas gift or her advent calendar I make up.

tellmewhentheLangshiplandscoz · 19/08/2022 10:43

Rubbish pic so here's new ones ...

Morning all! On the prequel threads, someone shared a website which had a sale on record players. I couldn't get the discount code to work at the time and now I've lost the web link - could anyone please let me know what it was?

Blixem · 19/08/2022 11:29

Hype have free delivery with the code FREESHIP

They always have a sale on, there are lots of wellies on there at the moment if anyone is getting ready for winter.

nicky2512 · 19/08/2022 11:30

In case anyone is interested in the new oodie dressing gown I posted about a few days ago, the measurements have now been updated and make much more sense!
its £50 instead of £75. Bit dear considering I normally buy them in Asda but dd doesn’t want anything in particular and is hard to buy for and I know she’ll love it.

Hello! Think it was Urban outfitters - I did try and check the code out of interest and not sure it worked on the record players - might be worth messaging them though as they are in the category

Thesearmsofmine · 19/08/2022 11:44

I’m not sure if this has been shared already but The Works have a half price art sale on, online and instore(our store had a lot more than the website), it ends on Sunday. They also have loads of fidget toys at the moment which I’m going to grab for my dc stockings as they always play with them when we go into the shop.

spagbog5 · 19/08/2022 11:49

I don't think there's a Vodafone codes thread yet but I just had notification of a Doisy and dom box for £2.99 delivered.
Great for dd2 (dairy free) stocking and they usually have long dates.

Arthien · 19/08/2022 11:50

Thank you! I thought the same, it didn't work but seemed like it should because it was in the category. I might drop them a message, as my husband has previously said he'd love one and I think it would be a good starter one, while he decides if it would actually get used or not!

Snowflakes2 · 19/08/2022 11:52

Received the ok beauty box today and will be unsubscribing, it was awful! OK it was £5 but really unimpressed.

Does anyone have a vodaphone code they wouldn't use please?

Sallylovesdaisy · 19/08/2022 12:03

@imnottoofussed So sorry didn't see this, they were from toys for a £1. They really are great!
