It feels bizarre setting up the first Christmas thread on one of the hottest days of the year, yet here we are!

Thanks to whoever suggested following bakedin on tiktok (which I've only just joined). I won a prize of a free baking box today during their live video. They are also doing a tiktok offer of £3.99 subscription boxes for the first 3 of any of their boxes using code tiktok3 and they repeatedly stated you can cancel any time.

Whittards have a sale on at the moment ( they rarely do) hampers are half price and decent discounts on me tea and coffee in tins which would make good gifts.

Thanks to @mac1974 for mentioning the “final” sale in M&S. my branch had some “kids” duvet cover sets for £3:99 and dinosaur ones for £6:99.

I saw plenty of clothing items at 90% off, although most discounts were not quite as good as that.

In previous years, right at the end of M&S sale all the sale stock was reduced by 90%. Does anyone know if that still happens after M&S has advertised a “final sale” like this?

I think this tends to be a week after final reductions when they want everything gone. Always some bargains if you time it right!

M&S had shaped bath bombs for 49p rather than £3.50 yesterday. That's a few stocking fillers sorted! I was going to buy a skirt too until the woman at the till told me all sale items were non-refundable.
On the subject of refunds, Sainsburys have recently introduced cardboard hangers for their clothes and I found out that now, if returning clothes, you need to have the unworn clothing, the receipt and the correct hanger.
I've seen a few threads recently about how more companies are introducing charges for returns or tightening up the time period so it is something to be aware of in general.

Thanks for adding this, the code didn't work on what I wanted so I left it in my basket and have woken up this morning to a 15% off code for online or 20% off on the app so might be worth trying if there is something you're looking for that the school code doesn't cover.
