It feels bizarre setting up the first Christmas thread on one of the hottest days of the year, yet here we are!

Lovely to see you all; take a seat and grab a mince pie as they get passed around.

Please do alert me to anything for the next thread's page of links (I'm starting fresh this year). Hope you've had a good year and looking forward to celebrating and sharing our bargain buys.

White Company has a sale on with an extra 10 % off sale prices. Some nice candles and bath sets

Can anyone recommend a good powerbank? The last one I got didn't last long

Pixie2015 · 15/08/2022 19:40

Just bought some gifts from ESPA under offers they have a Christmas section
www.espaskincare.com/christmas/view-all.list

they also do keyworker 30% discount but not on sale items.

Hmm, just taken delivery of 2 dark navy blanket hoodies from the other thread. Everyone seems to have got kuddly ones but mine are Primark Hmm

Not returning them now but not the bargain I'd hoped for!

Mine have been delivered today and also primark - very disappointing Sad

WhatICallMyUsername · 15/08/2022 19:45

@FoxsSocks1 and @InDreamland the rest of the Acorn Wood books (8 in total) are on offer for 50% off on Amazon at £3.50 each

JubileeTissues · 15/08/2022 19:58

I can't be bothered sending them back and paying the postage. It's the chance you take with those sites I suppose. Oh well, snuddies it is

Iknownothing · 15/08/2022 20:03

Oh no - worried about my oodie/kuddly now :(

Brightpinkleopard · 15/08/2022 20:05

Did it come in any packaging? Mine is in clear plastic with a kudd.ly piece of paper in. I wasn't going to open the packet but now I'm thinking it might be Primark?

FoxsSocks1 · 15/08/2022 20:05

@WhatICallMyUsername thank you ☺️

Right who is pregnant and due before Christmas for our thread babies?

Just caught up on the thread and have seen this message. I am 😊, baby due in November. Trying to get organised now, so have everything for Christmas sorted before baby arrives!

JubileeTissues · 15/08/2022 20:42

Was in a grey plastic bag/packaging. The label has been tampered with and the primark writing cut off.

Thinking that the kuddly and oodie labels are probably fake and stitched in to be honest.

If it makes you feel better, the "Oodies" from there aren't genuine. People were comparing genuine to the bargain ones and the differences were fairly obvious if you had a genuine one. I also saw someone contact Oodie who confirmed using the label details. One the bright side we have a mix of Oodie, Kudd.ly and Primark here and the Primark are comparable with the Kudd.ly. You'll still be snug!

JubileeTissues · 15/08/2022 20:49

Thanks. DS1 has a primark one which he loves. I'd have gone for a better design than boring blue but still, for £14 delivered they will be fine I'm sure!

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/08/2022 20:52

We have the primark ones from last year and they’re snuggly. Not sure if that’s any consolation though, soz

JubileeTissues · 15/08/2022 20:56

I've moved on Grin

Bargain game, even if the instructions are in German. I'll Google and print them off before I wrap.

Ubongo £2.90

@😂

Scout2016 · 15/08/2022 21:08

I'll disappointed if mine are Primark with that cut label, partly because I avoid shoping there and second because at least one was to be a gift. I know the recipient probably wouldn't mind Primark, but that doctored label doesn't look great for a gift.

QueenOfWeeds · 15/08/2022 21:11

I have some plain (fake?) oodies on order - I agree that I wouldn’t normally shop at Primark but I wasn’t expecting proper branded ones really.

Out of interest, how much are the primark ones when bought in store? Does anyone know?

Thanks for the thread - have lurked for many years.

MarthaMayWhovier · 15/08/2022 21:29

I was actually planning on ordering one of those oodies for my son tonight. How much do the age 2-4 ones cost in Primark? I don't want to order and then find out I could have bought it in-store in Primark for cheaper.

JubileeTissues · 15/08/2022 21:29

I was expecting real ones 😂 no idea why!

I think the adult sizes cost more in primark but the cut label is annoying.

My lot will be too distracted by suddenly having to learn German anyway

Snowflakes2 · 15/08/2022 21:33

Bought the lego dots for my 8 year old, thanks to the poster who shared the bargain.

They're advertising plain grey kids ones on the website for £12. I think I paid about £12ish for a Minnie Mouse one for DD who was 6 last year. Smaller sizes might be cheaper

Disneyland2022 · 15/08/2022 22:12

watching with interest. Christmas yay!!

Misspacorabanne · 15/08/2022 22:13

Hi all, don't mind me, just place marking!😚had to ask for help to find this thread! i was looking for a thread four!😆😁

TKRedLemonade · 15/08/2022 22:15

that Lego dots voucher has never appeared for me on that offer not sure why. Have checked a few times since originally posted

MarthaMayWhovier · 15/08/2022 22:16

The chicken "oodie" I wanted is out of stock on that 5poundstuff website :( I might just hold off and see what other oodie-type bargains come up over the next few months.
