Over £200 and still growing...

DingdongmerrRADLEYonhigh · 22/12/2007 11:26

About 100.00 (we have alot in already). AND because DH doesn't like it, he didn't bring any cream back (for mashed potatoes and christmas puds), an extra christmas pud or some bacon for christmas day morning sarnies.

Bloody useless

£80, with normal shop included.

BJB21 · 22/12/2007 11:32

dreading mine today, its gonna be a big 'un! Already spent 80 quid in M&S and do have quite of few goodies already, tins of biscuits etc. but im anticipating another £150 in Tesco later! And i always forget bits and will end up panic buying Xmas eve

Pk616 · 22/12/2007 11:32

£12.88 and forgot nothing!
cheating really! Inlaws are throwing christmas this year and we're going over christmas eve so we don't even need to supply breakfast for our selves!
the £12.88 is for DP's imitation Jack Daniels and a four pack of pepsi for him to enjoy christmas evening. (I shall be having tea and laughing at his tom foolery!)

dillinger · 22/12/2007 11:33

I think about 120, we're vegetarian and were given a huge veg box this morning from a friend who works on a farm so to be honest I dont see where its gone lol I had to put some 'normal' things on the list eg toothpaste yadda yadda yadda, and champagne bumps it up a bit, then dh (I dont do the xmas shop, dh braves it instead) bought ds something to wear on xmas day... soon creeps up doesnt it.

Dh is out now looking for watercress lol, I'll be glad when he gets in so we can all just settle down, relax and enjoy ourselves!

My friend works on the checkout in Morrisons and she said its bloody manic, and full of people panic buying bread and milk etc lol I imagine Bath city centre is crazy right now.

Twinklemegan · 22/12/2007 11:33

What are you all buying??

bonkerzaboutxmas · 22/12/2007 11:33

tesco delivering between 2 and 4 so will see what they bring! HAve ordered LOADS of veg in expectation that they wont have everything!!!!!!!!!!! Expected price £110 but have already bought the turkey and puddings. That price also includes booze for tonight!!!!!!!

Unfitmother · 22/12/2007 11:35

Just back from Sainsburys, haven't put it away yet but need a rest. Was there for 8am and it was busy
It came to £215 and I'd already bought the wine!!

SantaBabyBeenAnAwfulGoodGirl · 22/12/2007 11:36

spent 129 quid in the supermarket yesterday which inclkuded trukey and chocs as presents and wine, biscuits , cheese veg, pudding, choc log ...mostly stuff for xmas day

Twinklemegan · 22/12/2007 11:36

How?

SantaBabyBeenAnAwfulGoodGirl · 22/12/2007 11:37

thats for 5 or 6 adults

Twinklemegan · 22/12/2007 11:39

So the £200 quid ones must be for about 12 then? None of my business anyway. Hope everyone has a terrific Chrismas day!!

BJB21 · 22/12/2007 11:41

i dont know how i manage to spend so much, there are only me, dp and ds1 (ds2 a baby)!

Think i just throw everything thats looks festively in trolley!

Unfitmother · 22/12/2007 11:44

I bought a turkey, a christmas pudding, a stollen & pannetone for New year.
I'm going to my mums on Boxing day, there'll be nearly 20 of us and we all decide who's takeing what. I'm bringing the cheese so spent a fortune on really expensive cheese.
DH will be cooking lunch whilst I'm at work so it's all idiot proof i.e. ready stuffed bird, ready wrapped sausages and pre-prepared roast potatoes.
The cost is amazing though!

Lizzylou · 22/12/2007 11:46

Spent £125 yesterday in Tesco which was just basic stuff, have got to pick up Capon tomorrow and have spent about £80 on nice titbits (cheese etc)and Mom kindly supplied a box of Sunday Times wine.
Far too much money but should be well fed for the next two weeks!

naturalblonde · 22/12/2007 11:51

£104 in Asda and forgot cheese, beers, carrots, brussels, chipolatas and broccoli.

Sending DP for the rest, I refuse to go back!!
