I picked up the half price Nars Duo blush today from John Lewis and I’m so thrilled. I’ve put it on and DD said I looked really healthy Smile

AnimalTheDrummer · 29/12/2021 13:50

Thanks for the thread, sideorder. I've never followed along with the prequel threads before but I think I will this year so just checking in. Might brave the rl shops tomorrow and see what's left, if anything. Will report back if I find anything decent.

WrappedInRed · 29/12/2021 14:01

@2319inprogress thank you, yes that's what I was thinking of! X

Twinkleylight · 29/12/2021 14:08

Cox & Cox sale has started

PinkDaydreams · 29/12/2021 14:30

Lots of Kevin the carrot toys and other characters reduced in Aldi.

RainbowPhilosophy · 29/12/2021 14:51

I've just had an email from Moonpig to say you can send 3 thank you cards and just pay postage (which I think might be 85p?) so if you were going to send some anyway it might be worth checking your emails.

Tesco had some perfect stocking filler bits today. Little crystal growing kits down to £2, lots of little games and mugs etc. I also picked up a couple of kids craft kits for 60p and a Christmas family game for next year. They had loads of reduced chocolate too, guess everyone is fed up of it right now!

IggyAce · 29/12/2021 15:14

I’ve never followed the prequel threads before but I’m going to try this year as I love the bargain one in the run upto Christmas, such a warm and comforting place.
No rl shopping for me until 6th of January as I’ve tested positive for covid.
I will say the paper scape books are beautiful we got our teen dd the Chanel one and it’s gorgeous and she loved it.

BamberGascoine · 29/12/2021 15:17

I’m joining this year! Have already bought some practical bits- silly glasses, new stockings. Every year without fail I leave it too late, my self loathing kicks in. I feel like a failure so don’t really bother. It all grts left to the last minute and I do an awful job! Too stressed and skint to do anything. My biggest problem is that I set my expectations too high. Then every year I feel like I’ve let everyone down.

Next year I break up really early again so would really like to have it in hand to really enjoy the time off and do christmasy things. I need to really get things as and when I see them. So I’m hoping by following this thread I’ll pick up the bulk of it along the way. The main things I buy are spirits for friends, candles, fluffy socks, pants etc. the whatever clothes the kids need. Nothing ever really varies so I don’t know why I over complicate it every year 🙈

Ive also got a christmas savings account to hopefully keep track of the spends.

BamberGascoine · 29/12/2021 15:18

I should add that all of our birthdays are jan-apr which makes it worse in a sense that after a stressful christmas im all gifted out, then it’s good because there is a massive lull!!

Got the first birthday mid jan so I’ve started the shopping now while I’m on a roll

This is the kind of stuff that I thought the shops would be popping with and I've seen barely anything around.

Managed to make a start
Wrapping paper brought from matalan.
Picked up some Pandora charms for my mum and dsd
Started on my educational wooden toys haul with purchases of tickit arches, wands and coins, lose parts.
Finally picked up the Lanka kade nativity I've been eyeing up this year.
Goki train whistle and some yellow door figures for our story books.

I'm wanting a new Christmas tree and a light up spinning Christmas carousel so I'm now on looking out for these.

rhij86 · 29/12/2021 16:08

I've just stumbled across this thread and blagged myself some bits from weird fish for the husband (eco-concious surfer type) and some lovely personlised glasses for my parents from Lisa Angel, so thank you everyone!

Have you seen a Mounteps nativity scene puzzle on amazon? It's 9.99 and looks almost too good to be true.
coodawoodashooda · 29/12/2021 16:27

I take it back. The postage is extortionate.

What site do you use for the wooden toys?
sunshineandrain82 · 29/12/2021 16:42

I've always used isaacstreasures mainly.
If you join Facebook page isaacs treasures members group there's always discount codes.

Badipur is good, Luna and cash. We do have a whirli subscription as well. Scandibørn I've taken a liking to recently.

@nicky2512

Has anyone seen a bargain wreath for hanging on front door? Preferably to order online as not going out if I can avoid it! Only just found out my mum would love one but said they were all a bit too expensive so I’d love to buy her a lovely one for next year.
@Twinkleylight has just added a link for Cox and Cox, they have some reduced
psuedocream3 · 29/12/2021 17:16

Has anyone seen any amazing offers on skincare beauty boxes?

In need of some hig end skincare at a knock down price!

WrappedInRed · 29/12/2021 17:24

I think those Lisa angel tumblers are now out of stock Sad

dizzygirl1 · 29/12/2021 17:28

@psuedocream3 Holland and Barrett had some but not great offers or boots have their 50% off - some of the no7 look good... just wondering myself whether to splash £40 on a big box????

Icantfindanewname · 29/12/2021 17:28

Sadly my request for sales shopping is distinctly boring. My tumble dryer is rasping it's last. It was bought for £100 20 years or so ago from makro so I guess I can't complain. Looking to replace it with a heat pump dryer. Husband has his eyes on a bosch, but it's £££ Hmm. Can anyone recommend make, model and supplier please? We can access health service discounts or blue light (both nhs) if they would help. I have just this week had to buy a new vacuum too, so am VERY keen to take advantage of any deals/discounts. Thank you!

OMICHristmasOn · 29/12/2021 17:47

[quote Oneborneverydecade]I would like something like this, but don't want to spend £70. Our local homebase seems to have no stock of anything. Any ideas please?

All Christmas stock in JL going to 50% on Friday, was told in there today, and if you buy it now and you can claim a price match within 28days if they make it cheaper.

personally i would be looking at the better brands, have been looking for a dryer myself and budget brands like Candy, Hisense are about £450 from AO, JL have the AEG at £569 or a Bosch @£649 .A lot of better brands models are out of stock so not a lot of deals to be had. Don't know about Currys as they will never see another penny of mine.not that i am still bitter after many years
oneofthose · 29/12/2021 18:12

Hi, I'm trying to put in a full price order at Emma Bridgewater for £50ish and was wondering if anyone had a referral code or discount code? Would be very grateful thank you!
