Just sat watching telly with kids.
Planned to go out for a walk but weather is awful.
Just ate x2 brandy snaps.

What's everyone else up to?

Had a long, drizzly walk out alone to get my booster. Came back to read one of my new books, graze on leftovers and get out of my bra.

Best day of the year.

Had a relatively relaxing morning, played with kids and their new toys. Did a little tidy up of the living room. DP took kids to footy earlier so I've prepared most of our buffet tea, now relaxing on sofa listening to some music picking at the food I've prepared Grin.

Watching Tottenham 😊 with DS1. DD hasn't really made it out of bed yet and DS2 is in his room. DH had an exhausting phone call to sort out the Sky box and has had to go for a sleep!!

We were going to play Monopoly, then someone wanted to watch "The Longest Day", then someone else wanted to go to the bookies to put a bet on the racing (they did win BTW) someone else wanted to go to watch the local football.
Then someone said "what's for tea" so I pointed to the fridge and said "Help yourselves".
I'm going for a nap now...

Currently typing this and watching 'Paddington' on TV.

Went to the shop this morning for a planner for work and nipped to Cos*a for a hot chocolate.

I am usually working (NHS) but switched roles a year ago so no longer work weekends or bank holidays! Bliss! Grin

Not a lot. Nursing a concussion after standing up into the lintel of the cupboard under the stairs yesterday. I actually feel a lot worse today- slept all afternoon!

Tidied house while kids played them dropped my mother and my kids with my sister and I went for 5 mile freezing trail run with 2 friends

Then me and the kids went for a MacDonalds and now we are home.

Had a very relaxing day. Watched a film on Netflix then showered and put new perfume on. Going to have buffet tea soon and more fizz!

Couple of hours of hiking in the early afternoon, DH's choice of activity (that we were going out was not negotiable) and my choice of trails. My toes still haven't quite warmed up. Had the sprouts, spuds, carrots and parsnips I didn't cook yesterday with beef stew. Considering tidying one of the kitchen cupboards, but suspect DH would see the resultant space as an opportunity to expand his collection of car and bike pampering lotions.

Yesterday was lovely, but hectic and we were out of the house for most of the day (visiting family - there were 14 of us!)

Today was a complete PJ day. No-one got dressed.

Kids played with their toys, watched ET and Home Alone (not back to back). I had a nap with the toddler whilst DP taught the older two how to play Cluedo.

We had sausages in warm bread rolls for lunch and I did a full Christmas dinner this evening we had bought everything, even crackers, incase the family gathering couldn't happen for reasons of Covid

I've forgone dessert for a few Baileys and then an early night all round. Perfect!!

Drinking wine in my posh new wine glasses and I need to finish packing as going on holiday in two days ☀️

Happy leftovers day 😋

We had my parents round for the second day, it was lovely. They are both in their 80’s and I think it hit home today that we have to enjoy these times together as they are not getting any younger. My dad said they wouldn’t come today and would stay home any rest. My youngest said ‘ please grandad’ and that swung it for him, we had a lovely day together.
