Boxing Day... what are you up to?

Just sat watching telly with kids.
Planned to go out for a walk but weather is awful.
Just ate x2 brandy snaps.

It's our Christmas dinner today as dd was working yesterday (hospitality) so it's been a frantic morning cooking and sinking a couple bottle of Prosecco - nearly ready to go so the rest of the day after dinner will be spent lazing around with a Christmas movie before we head out to do the evening feeding and animal checks (farmers)

Having an amazing day. Feet up, planning new journal. DCs happily playing with their new things. In laws reading. Just had the most incredible Turkey and red cabbage bagel. Might venture out later to walk the dog, who is asleep on the sofa. I feel very lucky.

We had a lie in, made a huge bubble with poached eggs for brunch. DH and our guests have gone to the pub (with DD and her bf). I’ve told them to stay as long as they like. I’ve done a wash and tidied up assisted by DMIL who is now stripping the turkey. We plan to watch last nights CTM with tea and cake in a bit. Tonight we’re having a curry at the local Indian and intend to have a few games when we get back with drinks. I’m enjoying the peace at the moment (and a tidy house again).

We had to come home early from friends’ as our puppy was being a total knobhead. He’s now being an angel now he’s home. I took him for a very cold, wet walk and am now having a brew. DS is downloading his new PS4 game and DH is watching electric car reviews on YouTube. Very festive 🙄.

DH and my parents took DC out for a walk this morning, so I got to enjoy a lovely outdoor swim at the gym, and a coffee and some quiet time. Very much needed! Ate a lunch of leftovers (love Boxing Day lunch) and plan was to lounge on sofa watching a film and not doing too much. However, DF has just informed me we have no oil for our car (and are planning to go on a big road trip the day after tomorrow) so I'm going to have to go and buy some bloody oil 😩

I've had a lazy morning and a relaxing bubble bath as DH went out early to travel with a couple of his friends to watch his football team play.
I'm now settled on the sofa with my beer and nibbles ready for watching my football team play, via live stream.
It's all good. 👍

Had a leisurely start and then went for a long walk. Not been back long and now just chilling/helping DS build his new lego sets and playing with his other new toys.

May watch a Christmas Carol later as not watched it yet this Christmas

Not cooking a full meal today as we ate a big Christmas dinner at SiLs yesterday and still feel full.

A nice relaxing day really

Is 2.29pm and I'm still in bed drinking endless cups of tea, eating orange smarties, watching Lewis from S1, E1 and reading the paper 😁

Had a run this morning, dull weather doesn't look too bad if you get out when it's still dark. I'm an early riser & it was nice seeing a few Christmas lights on in the morning.
Faffed about at home, watched Mary Poppins Returns which I thought was lovely & my sister, BIL & neice are coming in a bit for a Boxing day afternoon tea. Feet up after that & a few games later. Perfect!

Went for a run along Benidorm prom this morning. Now I'm lying in the van eating cheese and watching Spanish kids muck about outside. Will go for a Chinese tonight.

Siting with feeding/napping baby, bladder about to explode, hoping she will wake up soon. Also plotting the family evening meal.. leg of lamb.

Isolating with Covid and taking it easy with my Kindle and some knitting

Currently sat in my pyjamas watching a movie on my tablet as DP and the DC have occupied the living room TV playing with their new PS5. Had a really busy morning though tidying up, washing dishes etc and cooking the ham or the Boxing day ham as we call it. We're all full up after ham and turkey sandwiches. Probably won't move until everyone needs feeding again this evening!

Lying on my pink recliner with pink fleece duvet over me and pink fleece sheet under me looking out over thatched roof with singing robins in our holly trees. About to have turkey and coleslaw rolls for lunch and turkey korma for dinner which DH is making. Bought some half price cashmere tops in the sales, will watch some TV, do a few more leg and arm exercises and that is about it.

Called in to see mum (lives alone). DS is playing playstation with his friend online, DH is "tidying up" but keeps sitting down and sighing. He wants the TV to watch some awful old stuff but DS is so happy chatting online. If he does use the TV, he will just fall asleep anyway.

Saw my parents off after breakfast.

Had a nice leisurely bath, put clean pj’s on.

Ds2 called to see us.

About 12ish I got on the sofa with the dog. I’m still here now. Doing some crocheting in between watching the tv and mning. I am not going to move until bedtime 🙄😆

I have still got all my grown children here, two six footers sprawling around lounge (making the place untidy). Dh is working. Sat with Dd thinking of ways to finance her patisserie course in France.

Wrapping presents for the next lot of relatives we are seeing today. Had a second Christmas dinner with leftovers from yesterday Worked a night shift last night so doing everything very slowly

Nothing much today. Sorted out the kids new toys, went for a long walk and then I fell asleep on the sofa half way through the new Disney film encanto. Ds2 is now watching cars 3 and dh and ds1 are playing battleships which ds1 got yesterday. Just a quiet chilled day.

Just been to out of hours Dr with DD2 who has nasty ear infection and was up most the night crying and needing painkillers. Got some antibiotics now so should help. DD1 has Covid so the in laws couldn’t come and we went to do a PCR Xmas day.
DH doing a mega jigsaw and very happy.
Just about to start putting salad together for chips and cold cuts and pickles for dinner.
Need to cuddle up with DD1 and find a film we both agree on later

Still in isolation thanks to DS testing positive before Xmas so a day for tv and our weight In chocolate

Dc are with their dad and today feels a bit harder to be alone than Christmas day afternoon did for some reason. But I had a lie in, did some yoga and enjoyed a healthy breakfast. Then gave my head a wobble and have sat on the sofa eating cheese and biscuits and watching a marvel movie justice league - highly recommend it! My plan is to get some more food and watch another movie. The cat is loving all this lounging and I figured I'd treat today as a complete slob out one.

PJ day here too, eating leftovers and watching TV. Love it.

sorting out what can go to charity shop tomw....huge socks that dont fit me, huge jumper also dont fit....and other unwanted gifts....each year i firmly state i dont need or want anything....yet each year they appear and i donate the lot usually....so fed up of it....why dont people listen !!
