We like: exploding kittens, Dobble, One night werewolf, carcassone, blokus and Love letters. Looking for something new for this Christmas.

Thanks.

Ticket to ride. Make sure you don't get an extension kit as your first purchase

pinkcattydude · 03/12/2021 17:26

I feel bad recommending this but we enjoy Pandemic,

Janek · 03/12/2021 17:31

The Taskmaster game is hilarious.

RabbitFooFoo · 03/12/2021 17:33

Werewords
Stay cool
Telestrations
Just one

HaroldSteptoesHorse · 03/12/2021 17:34

Monopoly.. oldie but brilliant

shangelawasrobbed · 03/12/2021 17:34

Men at Work is brilliant.

pinkksugarmouse · 03/12/2021 17:42

DD (19) plays Munchkin with my ex (her dad) I wasn’t a fan but it’s very popular. She’s had it for about six years, maybe more.
We have a local version of Monopoly. We both still love Labyrinth she’s had that since she was about 7.
You can’t go wrong with uno either.

SpoonWhereArtThou · 03/12/2021 17:46

Forbidden Island, co-op game where you all work together rather than against each other.

Settlers of Catan, gain resources, trade them, expand.

Magic Maze - no talking, you get to control a direction of all game pieces, everyone moves pieces at once. Although technically silent conveying move the bloody piece you blind idiot with mere looks or tapping the table is hilarious, or it is in this house. Grin

autumnboys · 03/12/2021 17:47

My 18yo has just bought Throw throw burrito as a present for a friend.

mrsm43s · 03/12/2021 17:58

Splendor or Azul?

Or, cards against humanity? It's old, and a bit lame really, but teenagers find their parents being inappropriate hysterically funny. I'd pretty much got to the point of being totally over CAH, but the teenagers have given it a new lease of life!

Shouldertocryon1 · 03/12/2021 18:00

The Sock Game is great fun

Fantasmic143 · 03/12/2021 18:07

Jungle Speed - but beware of the totem grabbing!

astoundedgoat · 03/12/2021 18:09

Mahjong is brilliant.

Unstable Unicorns

Ravine is a good quick one, as is Space Team.

GlamourSpider · 03/12/2021 18:13

Another vote for Pandemic or Catan
Hit Z Road
King of Tokyo
Sheriff of Nottingham
Champions of Midguard
Dead of Winter
Dixit

Leah2005 · 03/12/2021 18:16

Poetry for neanderthals is quite comical. Describing objects with words of one syllable and a blow up club to bonk each other on the head if you make a mistake.

Chickychickydodah · 03/12/2021 18:18

Dixit
Mansions of madness
Aliens
Firefly
Burgle bros
Cleopatra

whitehorsesdonotlie · 03/12/2021 18:19

Cards against humanity
Shot in the dark
A little more conversation

NancyDrawed · 03/12/2021 18:20

Scrawl had me crying with laughter at a family gathering where ages ranged from 11 to 55.

Reluctant computer games playing teens left their gadgets to join in. Alcohol helps (for the older participants only, obviously)

Eumy · 03/12/2021 18:21

Ghost Blitz
Munchkin
King of Tokyo
Throw Throw Burrito

BasiliskStare · 03/12/2021 18:46

There is a who wants to be a millionaire game ( bit old school ) but quite fun if you like that sort of thing

JessieOh · 03/12/2021 18:53

We enjoy Ion in this house. It's a stratrgy card game with a few different ways to play, so you can mix things up.

OakleyStreetisnotinChelsea · 03/12/2021 18:57

Through the desert

Azul is lovely

Dinosaur Island. Best. Game. Ever.

Quacks looks great, I was tempted to buy it but it is 4 player and there are 5 of us so o got Wingspan instead.

Tokaido

Takenoko

Cards against Humanity (depending on age of teens could get family edition)

Secret Hitler if there are enough of you.

We do like ticket to ride. Japan is good, the bullet train changes the dynamic.

Fun and silly Telestrations is good.

Fake Artist is quick and fun. As is Insider.

Hellocatshome · 03/12/2021 18:59

More or Less is good for all the family.

mrstea301 · 03/12/2021 19:00

Monikers is great!

Megan1992xx · 03/12/2021 19:05
