If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

I have two American men to buy for. I don't know either of them, and don't know much about them at all. Budget of about £100 for one, £50 for the other - both are late 30s. Would prefer not enormous / heavy as they'll need to go in suitcases.

What's the male equivalent of naice but generic gifting?!

QOD · 22/11/2021 21:47

@MrsCrimbo74

QOD you can get the marc jacobs teddy mini tote from this italian site, it has good reviews on trust pilot and anything over €200 is free to the UK
Eeeeek I did it. Checked Facebook and Instagram and they seem good. £177 instead of £230 wohoooo

Thanks so much.

Bloody daughter with a birthday a week before Xmas 🎄

nicky2512 · 22/11/2021 21:47

*@imnottoofussed I haven’t - I headed straight to Schuh as I know they are good with returns if there’s a problem with the size. Shouldn’t be though so I’ll have a look. Thanks.

SapereAude · 22/11/2021 21:47

@Newdad19

Does anyone have any suggestions for a not too ££ advent calendar for my mum? Late 60s lady. Open to beauty or other options but ideally don't want to spend more than £50.
The Cath Kidston one is great value, think it's about £35. I had it once. Lovely stuff. Think I got it from Amazon or Look Fantastic.
WisestIsShe · 22/11/2021 21:48

@Newdad19 the Yankee candle one is nice. It's an absolute steal on Yankee Bundles at the moment for just £10 delivered. here

Jokie · 22/11/2021 21:52

Thanks @PomRuns! Yes, i saw that but it's not for the blankets. I understand the predicament with the stores though

LittleMousewithcloggson · 22/11/2021 21:53

PositiveLife · 22/11/2021 22:10

Thanks to the poster who gave the sock shop discount. That's the stockings finished and part of my work secret santa sorted

DockOTheBay · 22/11/2021 22:12

@Waveafterwaveslowlydrifting

Why was the JL.thread deleted?

I'm actually finished with Christmas shopping now but can't bring myself to leave the threads! I'm going to hang about for a bit if that's ok. I like the chat and am happy to contribute any bargains I see. 🥰🎅⛄

Because people kept coming on there and saying that people should be ashamed, that it was stealing or looting and deplorable.
SpamIAm · 22/11/2021 22:15

@nicky2512 I bought some hi tops last month and cheapest place I found was Very. Depends which particular ones you're after but it's certainly worth looking around. The converse site itself has a discount code when you sign up to their mailing list as well.

BeaLola · 22/11/2021 22:18

@Magistera

Google Nest Hub is back in stock on John Lewis, free with a £75 spend using the code BFGOOGLE. They sell out really quickly so if you want one be quick!
Are these any good ? Why would I need one ? Or indeed my house need one ?
OliverBabish · 22/11/2021 22:34

Hi! I’ve decided I might need a Velvetiser 🙄

This deal comes up when I Google the Velvetiser but it’s nowhere on the Hotel Chocolat website. Has it ever been that cheap? Is it a deal I’ve just missed?

Queuing4Fergs · 22/11/2021 22:57

@mummyof2boys30

Any suggestions for school secret santa for a child who plays rugby and football. Teacher has set budget at £5. Age 9
How about a boot claw ?
Rockhopper81 · 22/11/2021 22:58

Got a Christmas tree Squishmallow from Aldi today (Bournemouth), they had all of them.

I'm still looking for the Snoopy snuddie from Primark that @FluffyFluffMonster shared the picture of - has anyone seen it in the East Midlands? (Or Bournemouth and surrounds if it's the next couple of days!)

Queuing4Fergs · 22/11/2021 23:00

Sorry, postage makes it higher than the suggested limit but I'm pretty sure I found something similar in Sports Direct for around £5.

Givealittlebit · 22/11/2021 23:03

I don't suppose anyone has any ideas for a Canadian living in the Uk?

Thank you will take a look at this!

Any beauty ones anyone could suggest as well? Grin

5Minions2CallMyOwn · 22/11/2021 23:06

Does anyone please have a code for ASOS? Id really appreciate one if so. Thank you!

AndiMac · 22/11/2021 23:10

@Givealittlebit, as a Canadian expat, I suggest you could order them several boxes of what we call "Kraft Dinner" www.amazon.co.uk/KRAFT-MACARONI-CHEESE-DINNER-CHEESIEST/dp/B00BU5W15Q/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=kraft+dinner&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&qid=1637622554&sr=8-3

That will give them a taste of home, lol. It's a bit silly, but hopefully would be appreciated.

flumposie · 22/11/2021 23:15

My 100 coffee bags from Paddy and Scott's . My last order they were in a branded box that you could take one at a time from. Today it was a huge generic box filled to the brim with the bags. Good job they weren't for a present. No idea how I'm going to store them! ConfusedGrin
