Does anybody actually like Christmas music in shops?

There are certain songs I like, but every time I hear Christmas songs in shops I feel stressed and pissed off.

My opinion is that people can choose to wear earphones with Christmas music on whilst they shop, play songs in the car or at home, but it should be banned in shops.

I work in retail & I love it. Ours hasn’t started yet unfortunately.

It also gives us a nice break from the same songs being played on loop day in and day out.

I lik it but not until December, went shopping today and Christmas songs playing in a few shops. I feel for the staff who must hate them all by now!

Hearing the band aid one sends me into a rage

I used to work in retail and we had to play the Christmas music from October - it drove me mad.

if I'm in the mood and it's not too loud I like it.

But I have on a few occasions asked the staff to turn it down - they obliged.

I like it - when it’s Christmas! It should at least be held off until December. Poor staff hearing that day in day out for months.
My class asked for some Christmas songs on yesterday while they were doing an activity, we did a vote and it was 19 for no, 13 for yes

I hate it, but understand others love it, so I wear earbuds and listen to something else instead. Smashing Pumpkins usually covers it nicely....

I like it very much if it’s carols or some kind of vintage Christmas CD played at a nice soothing volume!

I HATE it if Wizzard or the Pogues are blaring into my ears making me feel horrendously stressed 😬

Love it! And loved it in a previous life as shop worker.

I hate it - particularly Slade, John Lennon and Band-Aid - so, so boring and year after year after year.

And why do we have to be subjected to music in every shop now anyway? What is wrong with peace and quiet?

I love it. DH works in retail and he likes it too, although theirs is played at quite a low volume, so pretty easy to tune out.

Classical christmas music and carols are fine.

I am driven mad every single year by awful 70's xmas music if you can call it that to the point I don't go out to shop anymore, I buy everything all online which surely defeats the point.

I wasn't brave enough to post this anywhere else!

I worked at Waterstones as a student. 9 hours of shite Christmas music on repeat. I was only part time and it nearly finished me off!

Absolutely loathe it.
When I was a teenager I had a Saturday job at a clothes shop. From mid. November they would play the same Christmas tape.
Even now , I get an irrational rage when I hear Slade’s Merry Christmas everybody
