Hope you all find me ok

@EightToSixer clearly knows something I don’t about neom boxes 🤣.

If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

According to my emails:

Smiggle has 40% off selected stuff and free delivery over £30.
Facebook Portal has a range of offers for BF.
Papercraft World has a BF pre-sale with 15% off (not used them before and reviews make me wary).

Also, ecookshop have some good offers on Le Creuset. If anyone sees anyone else doing Le Creuset offers, would love to know about them!

NeverRTFT · 19/11/2021 09:22

re Black Friday - I think this is a week-long event this time. I just bought a slightly discounted fairly light curtain, now £13.50 with good reviews

Amazon showing LOADS of decent discounts on Hasbro games - jenga, operation, mousetrap, cluedo etc all coming up with 25%-50% off

spudjulia · 19/11/2021 09:25

I'm on Vodafone - is there anyone who wants the toniebox code still? Checked the code thread and it seems the only interest there is the popcorn. I can't pm from my mobile but can try when I get home if anyone needs one Smile

DentalWorries · 19/11/2021 09:27

Really random one but I don’t suppose anyone has seen any good quality cocktail sticks like these I’m planning a Christmas drinks party with lots of nibbles on sticks but don’t want to pay £10 for them!!

OneMorePieceofCheese · 19/11/2021 09:35

Re: the National Geographic fossil kit, I can't seem to find this at all. Are they sold out? I got the geode one, but the fossils was such a hit present last year (and kept DD busy for ages) I'd be keen to get another.

Autumnleaves4 · 19/11/2021 09:37

Hi has anyone her used an oodie when working from home? I’m tempted to try and keep the heating bills down but the sleeves look so large, do they not get in the way, do you not feel a bit like a Michelin man?

Dreamingofwalden · 19/11/2021 09:39

@NaturalBlondeYeahRight I have a DS (5) and DTs (2) all boys. I have bought them this reusable sticker pad from Melissa and Doug, for their stockings, which someone suggested on an earlier thread. I think it will get lots of play and it’s neat to put away though I anticipate the stickers ending up all over the house. ConfusedBlush.

It’s currently 34% off at £3.49 & Doug Reusable Sticker Pad - Habitats | Activity Pad | Sticker Pad | 3+ | Gift for Boy or Girl [[https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B007QTB6U6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_WDXZJ0T01W7QCVP0G6YW?tag=mumsnetforu03-21 reusable sticker pad]]

Apologies for the long link. I can’t get the colicky link to work and am in a rush.

@Pawpawpaws

Thank you so much to *@Rumblethedinosaur for spotting that the 303030 and BF30 codes on hot diamonds* stack, I missed out on the stacking codes last time and was kicking myself for it. I’ve just bought 2 necklaces and also used a 10% off code (one use/account specific) they emailed back in Oct when I left my basket unpurchased. So I managed to get a massive discount across those 3 codes, so pleased!
Hi @Pawpawpaws, can you let me know what item you bought please. I have tried to stack but get a message saying code 303030 isn’t valid. I even tried just code 303030 and it says not valid. Perhaps they’ve fixed a glitch.

John Lewis has 15% off Charlotte Tilbury if the things you are looking for aren’t in her Black Friday sale

Because the sleeves are cuffed it's fine. There's a lot of bulk in it but it's not restrictive if that makes sense?
CarrieMoonbeams · 19/11/2021 09:46

@Froppysue

Thanks for the theragun duos recommendations, I think I’ll get the one *@Chocolateteabag* recommended - so big thank you!

Temped with the white company diffuser for dd, has anyone had it? Not sure if it’s worth the money as m&s have one that looks really lovely too - has anyone had either?

Thanks for the Charlotte tilbury offer, I’ve bought dd1 the contour and light wands already but needed to get the blush one so off to do that now.

I saw glossybox had an offer with the code FREEBOX if you sign up to a 1 month subscription for £13.25 then put the code in, you get a free mystery box worth £50.
Apparently it’s essentially £100 worth of products for £13.25

I've got the White Company one and I absolutely love it, I use it every day. I haven't tried any others though.

I known you didn't ask about the oils, but I really feel that their oils are worth it. I bought 2 cheaper ones from Amazon last week and they smell so artificial in comparison.

Jacopone · 19/11/2021 09:47

Arighi Bianchi - decor, mirrors, cushions, throws etc - 20% off with code XMAS20 untill tomorrow.

Thank you to someone who confirmed the good quality of Land’s End sheepskin slippers. Settled for those (well discounted now) instead of very dear mahabis.
A word of caution re Saville Row dressing gowns etc - they are ok looking but not the best quality, bit on the flimsy side. The one husband had years ago (15 perhaps) was excellent and far more luxurious in comparison.

nicky2512 · 19/11/2021 09:48

Hoping for some help please!
Firstly, what would be a good price for the game blokus? Ds played it recently and enjoyed it. Do I wait til Black Friday for Amazon?

Secondly, not very festive but I was thinking of buying Dd some suitcases for her year abroad next year. I have honestly got her nice presents too and she’s be delighted to get some possibly better quality than if we were buying last minute.
I was thinking one large and one cabin.
American tourister was recommended but I’m open to any recommendations for good quality, bright colour sets and preferably discounted. Hate paying full now!
Thank you.

HideHide · 19/11/2021 09:50

Gravitrax starter set down to £28 on Amazon - was £34 when I added it to my wishlist. A few expansion sets seem to have dropped too

nicky2512 · 19/11/2021 09:51

@Autumnleaves4 Dd wore hers last year while studying - first year of uni was online. She was more than comfortable in it!

momo20 · 19/11/2021 09:56

Hello, does anyone have any discount codes for big department stores please? E.g. house of fraser, john lewis ect? Thank you!

EverybodyKeepCool · 19/11/2021 09:56

@nicky2512 we got Eastpak ones for our daughter. They are really good quality and have a black Friday sale on some. You can also get them from Surfdome. They are quite expensive overall but they do a range of colours and patterns and you can get backpacks/bumbags to match

ThatIsHowTheLightGetsIn · 19/11/2021 09:59

Wainwright books from the last thread, sorry can't tag the OP, Scout something

Lowplex books are showing the 50th anniversary set at £24 but out of stock , not helpful I know but you can sign up to be alerted or I guess ask if it will be before Christmas

Ebay showing a few sets, a new one here

GeronimosDisco · 19/11/2021 09:59

@nicky2512 agree the Eastpak recommendation. They are great quality and will last her years.

nicky2512 · 19/11/2021 09:59

@EverybodyKeepCool Great thanks I will have a look.

I bought myself a genuine oodie in lockdown & its sooo hot! & the cuffs are a funny material that feel damp? (May just be me i'm funny with materials!Blush) We've just moved and I packed it away in storage! So just bought myself another one, which was a fraction of the price from online home shop which is zip up (they also do over the head ones), which I've found lots more comfortable and so much easier to get on & off (especially handy not to mess up your hair pulling it over your head like a normal oodie if you have zoom meetings!)
nicky2512 · 19/11/2021 10:00

Thank you @GeronimosDisco

I think I paid £7.99 for it on Amazon a couple of months ago, maybe check camel camel camel and see what that says.
NoSquirrels · 19/11/2021 10:13

@Froppysue

Oh pants the wands aren’t included in the Charlotte tilbury sale.

Does anyone know anything about blu rays?!? Random question I know - dd would love 2 films for an anime she watches but I’ve only found the English versions on blu ray in America - does anyone know if they’d play in the uk?
She’s also asked for 2 mangas which are impossible to track down, lord help me 😩

You need to have the right player for the right ‘region’ Blu-ray (DH massive geek, know all about this, alas! Grin)

Region A is North America (USA)
Region B is Europe (UK)

So if the discs you’re buying from the US are Region B then they’ll play on a UK player - which I think is what you’re saying - you’ve found them to buy on a US site but they’re UK Blu-rays?

If they’re actually US Blu-rays - despite being ‘the English versions’ - then they won’t play.

So check the listing carefully for the region code. Region B is what you want.

Hope that’s not as clear as mud!

Pawpawpaws · 19/11/2021 10:14

Ah @Autumnleaves4 I bought 2 necklaces, one originally £110 and the other £95 and the codes stacked this morning and let me add the third for another 10% off. I’m at work now but will look at lunch to find details. 303030 definitely applied fine first thing, I hope that haven’t taken it away so soon, last time stacking codes were around for at least a day or 2!
