This year DH and I are just buying each other a few quality consumable items. I want to give him a general list then he can pick a few things off it and choose the exact variety.

So far I have:

Pink champagne truffles
High quality shower gel eg Loccitane, Neals Yard or similar
White Company candle

Is there anything else you can suggest?

Note, I am a big reader so planning to get the new Kindle paperwhite.

Cashmere bedsocks. Not consumable but rather naice.

VarietyPack · 13/11/2021 10:25

I have always ignored the M&S snow globe gin but I saw one last night and they really are beautiful. Added it to my list!

WowIlikereallyhateyou · 13/11/2021 11:10

I would upgrade the candle to a better quality brand. Add some cashmere socks/scarf/gloves. Nice body lotion?

Comedycook · 13/11/2021 11:12

Slippers and perfume

Innocenta · 13/11/2021 11:14

If you wear/like makeup, then possibly mascara or lipgloss? I personally think those are things that benefit from frequent replacement! I'd do Fenty gloss bomb lip gloss and whatever your safe, fave high end mascara is.

'Fur' shaving oil if you shave.

Champagne
Good wine
Chanel body lotion / soap
Chanel nail varnish

Basically booze and Chanel

We always do mainly consumable stockings for DH and I but as Santa’s No1 helper I fill them for the entire family leaving DH to deal with my tree presents.

This year I have:
Hotel chocolate pink champagne truffles
Rhubarb gin flavoured milk chocolate bar
Jo Malone myrrh and tonka shower oil and body creme
Jo Malone Orange bitters candle
White company highland candle
New travel coffee cup

Thanks everyone some great ideas! The cashmere items made me think about Turtle Doves wrist warmers too. I don't drink due to medication, so glittery drinks are out.

@WowIlikereallyhateyou what would you recommend? I had Neom candles last year from QVC and found only one of them smelt strong. TBF on The White Company, I do find the candle have a decent scent.

The Neom relax candle is very strong normally. Diptyque Baies is a lovely candle, as are the Jo Loves ones.

These biscuits always and forever.... I will be bereft if they stopped making them. Shock Sad

Tofu35 · 13/11/2021 16:37

Perfume is such a personal taste thing, but Jo Malone have brought out their winter fragrances and their orange bitters one is lovely! Definitely one to try in the shop and come back to as it settles.

FireworkParrot · 13/11/2021 17:14

Yes to anything from Turtle Doves. I'm a recent convert to their fingerless gloves and I LOVE them.

Really nice salt for cooking/seasoning.

Posh crackers and chutney to have with cheese.

I like Neal's Yard for handcream and lotions.

Upgraded tea/coffee/biscuits/chocolate depending on what you like.

Liz Earle hot cloth cleanser or Clarins cleansing balm.

Essential oils... I like adding a few drops into the water when I'm having a bath.

YouHaveNoAuthorityHereJackie · 13/11/2021 17:21

I was about to suggest everything in your OP! I love charbonnel and Walker pink champagne truffles, and white company candles too, I smelled the Rhubarb one today and will defiantly be getting that. Cashmere bed socks too, I ordered some from M & S so I could buy their advent calendar but I’ve sent them back as they looked awful, not special at all, will be buying white company ones instead.

BirdyBirdyTweetTweet · 13/11/2021 17:42

Elemis cleansing balm

sidsgranny · 13/11/2021 17:49

For nice candles/diffusers try Chase & Wonder - they're gorgeous!

guffaux · 13/11/2021 17:49

truffle honey-fab with cheese
decent coffee beans and a grinder
essential oils - you can get a lovely box with eg 12/24 /36 spaces and fill these with preferred oils
booja booja chocolate midnight truffles
silk pillow slip

AuntieMarys · 13/11/2021 17:52

Neom diffuser

TheChosenTwo · 13/11/2021 17:53

Something I buy myself quite often is space masks, but I suffer from migraines and these are lovely to use when I’m coming out the other side!
Also l’occitane almond shower oil is one of my staples.
Nail varnish and seche vite top coat.
Tweezerman tweezers.
Hotel chocolat Black Forest hot chocolate (delicious but I don’t have a velvetiser and find one and a half packets is perfect in a saucepan and milk)
Nothing silly expensive but all things I use regularly and know I’ll use, none of it will sit gathering dust which is my pet hate at any time let alone Christmas.

dementedma · 13/11/2021 17:56

Isle of Skye candles are lovely and not too expensive. All handmade by local company.
