If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

@Thisisbatshit

Zoom have 50% off toys and "merch" (?!!). I've not price compared as I didn't need anything but £8 for top gun monopoly about £5 for a downtime Abbey jigsaw, £18 for a barbie horse similar for a lego iron man and loads of bing, Peppa and pj masks. Price reduces in your basket.

zoom sale

Harry Potter Cluedo is £11 on here if anyone is looking for HP gifts
LostMyRubySlippers · 03/11/2021 21:38

Also on zoom, the outdoor edition of throw throw burrito is £12 (£27 on Amazon)

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 03/11/2021 21:40

@Lovemusic33

Trying to keep up with the thread but it moves so fast. I have quite a few to buy for and am looking for gifts for…

18 month old boy
2.5 year old boy
5 year old girl
7 year old boy

£10 ish each and ideally something that’s not plastic tat (trying to think of the environment) but not books as I bought books last year and they all have way too many.

@lovemusic33 for the 18 month old maybe a wooden set from Aldi? They had vehicles, food sets, a till. Lots of choice under £10. For the 2.5 boy an orchard toys game? Mine loved shopping list and tummy ache at that age. The 5 and 7 year old i would go game too. Monopoly and game of life junior are both good. Jenga, dobble, snakes and ladders, catventures (lovely wooden characters and very fun!).

Or if you wanted to get something the same, squishmallows soft toys are lovely and could work for all the ages you want.

Or possibly a nice fleece blanket each. Primark and Asda have lovely ones this year for £6 each.

JanuaryEl5ieBill · 03/11/2021 21:41

5 second rule game down to £7.47 on amazon. Have had it in my basket since it was suggested as a good family game on here.

lemonsmum · 03/11/2021 21:50

I was comparing the child farm prices and superdrug have 2 for £7 including the larger bottles.

@Scrambledbeans how about a magnetic ball run?ball run

Daisychops · 03/11/2021 21:59

Has anyone any experience of buying from
Zoom? 50% off looks to good to be true and it gets really bad reviews on trust pilot

Tightsonmyboat · 03/11/2021 22:01

@Yeknom

Does anyone have any recommendations for Hot Wheels track? Are they all as big as they look in pictures? Are they flimsy/easy breakable? Looking for something for my 3.5 godson. Thanks!
@Yeknom check out speed track, my little one loves his!
sorryiasked · 03/11/2021 22:04

@Thisisbatshit I'd be very wary of zoom the reviews are shocking

Givealittlebit · 03/11/2021 22:14

@Greenhand if you're after cheaper make up than sleek usually does some lovely palettes that are really affordable!

Then benefit is cute and fun although a little more pricey. But their palette kits come with instructions too.

Or you could get a really big palette with loads of colours to experiment. Too faced is lovely!

FireworkParrot · 03/11/2021 22:16

Some really good toys in Aldi today so thank you for the tips, I picked up the latte and cupcake squishmallows, a Harry Potter onesie and some wooden food for DD2's play kitchen. I had actually finished their Christmas shopping but couldn't resist....they may have to be birthday presents instead Xmas Grin.

wavingwhilstdrowning · 03/11/2021 22:17

@ShoppingBasket could you post a link to the Yoda? I can't find it. Thanks

DockOTheBay · 03/11/2021 22:20

Thanks for the speed track suggestion, I've been looking at hot wheels but its all very prescriptive (and expensive!) and I want something my daughter can be a bit more imaginative with, so this might be perfect

Starpleck · 03/11/2021 22:22

@Greenhand

DD (14) has asked for first make-up. Where do I start? She wants eyeliner mascara and "other stuff". Maybe a BB cream (I use them). What about eye colours?
Revolution is a popular brand with teens, quite affordable and good quality as well.

Their website has some starter kits on:

www.revolutionbeauty.com/uk/en/makeup/makeup-sets

And it's usually on offer at superdrug.

For first make up I'd recommend a nude eye shadow pallete rather than bright colours.

ShoppingBasket · 03/11/2021 22:24

@wavingwhilstdrowning sorry don't know how to do short links. There is only an hour and half left on deal. If link doesn't work type in remote control yoda and should come up as deal of the day

Onesmallstep67 · 03/11/2021 22:29

radio times hope this works, just signed up for 12 issues of the Radio Times for £1. I did it earlier in the year so this time I used a different email and card. I just cancelled the D/D before the renewal kicked in so no hassle at all. My new 12 weeks should include the bumper Christmas edition. Grin

TheBigFish · 03/11/2021 22:31

@BellsaRinging I have used Laithwaites via the BBC Good Food wine club. Always had really nice wines from them. They were also easy to cancel after the initial deal and now I just buy as and when they have a good offer.

RicherThanYew · 03/11/2021 22:34

@Yeknom two years ago my friend bought this fold away storage cube and playmat for my son, he loves his (as do I, total Hotwheels nut) and plays with it often. My friend says the current price is cheaper than what he paid and he's bought a few for nieces and nephews so it comes recommended. Sorry cant do link atm.

Thanks @ShoppingBasket I've got one for my Grogu obsessed niece :)

rainingcats · 03/11/2021 23:39

@Tightsonmyboat

Thank you for pointing me in the direction of speed track.
Never heard of this before but it looks perfect for my four year old.

There is a discount code - OCF2021 if anybody else has been inspired to purchase!

On last years thread, there was a rush on bargainous Santa sacks. Can anyone remember where they were from?

oatmilkisntsobad · 03/11/2021 23:59

I think it was the initial ones from b&m and you might be too late as they were already being nabbed this year a few threads back
GraveyardPlotsAndDoomedScreams · 04/11/2021 00:57
@Daisychain789 good call. I hadn’t thought about remover! She does have moisturiser already
You could get her a make up bag too. Smile

sittingonacornflake · 04/11/2021 06:43

@BellsaRinging thanks for the laithwaites heads up, I've ordered (well, had to order to my mother's house Grin)

For anyone else ordering, to make it extra bargainous:

5% cash back through TopCashback

Lloyds bank is offering 20% cash back if you activate the offer and use your Lloyds bank to pay

It comes with 4 free tumblers which always seem to sell well on eBay, I think I usually get around £12 excl postage when I sell the laithwaites glasses on there.
