And I've only gone and bought stollen bites and mini florentines - What are the chances of them lasting til Christmas??

My guess is very slim chances indeed.

I might just have to run a trial to see which are the best items to get later

I just wish they'd not put all the Christmas stuff next to the Halloween stuff - I enjoy both 'celebrations' separately.
Can't they at least wait until after Halloween.
Feels like they're rushing our lives away AGAIN.

Tesco had Mince Pies for sale about 2 weeks ago. The best before date was 23rd October...

I think those are also considered Octoberfest foods by the Germans.

I bought lebkuchen during the week. Sadly it didn’t last until Saturday let alone Christmas 😂

I couldn’t find stuffing for our roast today but bought pigs in blankets instead & doing red cabbage. Cannot wait!

I was in our aldi yesterday and the shelves were cleared ready for Christmas items... maybe they are stocked today I may have to pop out for (ahem) milk later.

I’ve got 2 boxes of M&S Tuille (think that’s how it’s spelt) biscuits in my treat cupboard supposedly for Christmas. Can’t really imagine they’ll last long though, once my sister’s wedding has passed (I’m bridesmaid & don’t want to split the seams of my dress). Aldi food always looks lovely, I might have to have a look now .

I was VERY disappointed in Aldi as the beautiful Choc orange mince pies they used to do have not been there for the past two years
They'd better be there this year or I won't be responsible for my actions.....

Luckily I don't care for the few things on the shelves - fruited cakes etc. But when I see an ad for something Christmassy a little spark of joy goes off in my head... despite the fact it is likely to be another quiet Christmas with just the three (or maybe even two if my son decides to stay at his girlfriends) of us.

Who cares about the people who hate Christmas (but I still commenting on the Christmas board) this cheered me right up!

Are they doing the hot chocolate snowmen again this year? They were a big hit in my house but sold out quickly.

Why are all the air fresheners so sickly though-sugarplum, mulled wine, apple and cinnamon? I WANT PINE! The only pine I've seen was a Febreze spray. And yes, the Aldi florentines are fabulous.I found them last year, and i bought 4 boxes yesterday for Christmas.

Home bargains had a load of Christmas food the other day. Not as exciting as stollen bites but I got chocolate Lebkuchen and various other christmassy biscuits. They also had chocolate Brazil's and good prices on selection boxes 😋

Thank you NotMyCat , I'll look out for those. I like air fresheners in the living room though, and they might be a bit small for that.
