@mumontherun14 thank you I think I'll bite the bullet and order x

MiaowMiaow99 · 25/07/2021 09:20

Is there a link to any discounted oodies please?

MerylSqueak · 25/07/2021 09:22

I bought my kids an Oldie each in March. They love them. They wash well although they say no tumble dryer which surprised me. They do dry quickly though. I'd like someone to buy me one!

Room4onemore · 25/07/2021 09:29

So glad a found this thread, I’ve got 6 kids and I’m due in December with my next. Christmas is my favourite time of year and try to pick up bargains when I can so will be on this thread all the time 😁

Ourlady · 25/07/2021 09:53

My kids love their Oodies. They are ridiculously expensive but they are great quality and still look new after more than a year of wearing.
I always stick ours in the tumble dryer to finish off drying.

ProbablyGryffindor · 25/07/2021 10:43

I signed up to the oodies website - code - GETOODIE gives £25 off. Don’t think it works for all purchases, eg bundles.

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 25/07/2021 11:13

See i bought dd1 (12) a fake oodie last year and she didn't like it. Said it was too hot and baggy, prefers a fleecey stitch jumper I bought in the pj section in primark. Glad I didnt splurge on a real one and now I have it and its great for winter. Think it was about £12 off amazon.

I just wanted to say thank you for the heritage of Scotland link, I bought lots of bits and their customer service is top notch. I forgot to add the new customer 10% off so sent an email, they relied within the hour with the discount refunded to me. Will be saving them to use again. The quality is brilliant, wish I had ordered some more now!

Just recieved my first clothing item from shein, just wanted to say its fantastic quality especially for the price. I usually spend £40+ on a new bikini but my first option arrived that cost £11 and its brilliant, if the rest are this nice I might struggle to decide which one(s) to keep! So well worth a look for teen/kids. I had a look and loads of stuff for dds that they will love, plus matching Christmas clothing which we do every year! Also the reviews are great as people often use photos and are in depth reviews on sizing/quality.

Room4onemore · 25/07/2021 11:17

Does anybody know when next usually release the Christmas pyjamas?

Restlessinthenorth · 25/07/2021 11:21

I agree with @nocutsnobuttsnococonuts about shein. Great for tweens, especially if you buy the two piece sets. They come in lovely individual branded packaging. They have been a massive hit with my daughter from last Xmas, and quality has been great, given it's pretty inexpensive. Will def be getting more for this year

Makeuplover · 25/07/2021 11:24

@Room4onemore Usually September X.

Reastie · 25/07/2021 11:50

Hi all, just popping in to say hello. It’s July and I haven’t started Christmas shopping yet, this is unprecedented!

BunnyBerries · 25/07/2021 11:55

Just a heads up to everyone to research your local Christmas events tickets and put them in your diary... they often go on sale in August and early September (some railways Christmas events are already on sale!!!)

stealthninjamum · 25/07/2021 12:16

@reastie great minds think alike, I haven’t started doing my shopping yet so I came into the thread and saw you.

I have bought myself an early Christmas present. John Lewis has a Coach handbag normally £395 reduced to £158. I have never spent so much on a bag before and am too scared to get it out of its packaging in case it gets dirty.

Daisy829 · 25/07/2021 12:30

@stealthninjamum which bag did you get? I love coach. If it’s pebbled leather they are really robust so don’t worry too much. Use it and enjoy it! I’ve purchased a couple in their recent sale & they are great

stealthninjamum · 25/07/2021 12:37

Thank you for reassuring me @Daisy829

It’s this one

www.johnlewis.com/coach-lora-leather-carryall-tote-bag/p4903188

And it is pebbled leather. I have admired coach for a long time so I know it’s not just buying because it’s a bargain. I am very worried about dc trashing it even though the youngest is 10 as it’s a pale colour.

Daisy829 · 25/07/2021 12:40

Oh lovely. I looked at the smaller one of these in black. Stunning.
You can get products to protect the leather. If you contact a web site called love lolo they will advise. You’ll get years out of that bag. Great choice.

Emiliemoo · 25/07/2021 13:05

I've been looking at the Happy Napper sleeping bags for my 2 toddler DC but I'm not sure they would be used enough to justify the price. Does anyone know any good cheaper alternatives?

stealthninjamum · 25/07/2021 13:09

Thank you daisy829 I’ll buy a protector. And maybe I’ll plan a nice outing for the bag.

Willow4987 · 25/07/2021 13:19

@Emiliemoo I’ve been looking at the same and someone up thread (sorry I’ve forgotten who) said Dunelm sometimes have fake versions so worth keeping an eye out for them

Reastie · 25/07/2021 13:34

Hi stealth! I got myself a coach handbag a few years ago I think also half price in the John Lewis sale at the time! Also hideously expensive even half price. It’s the best handbag I’ve ever had though and still is in great condition considering how much I’ve worn it

Araisaris · 25/07/2021 16:59

Hello from across the water @Sideorderofchips Hope you’re doing ok in the other island?

ProbablyGryffindor · 25/07/2021 17:13

@Araisaris and @Sideorderofchips - I’m in Guernsey, and finding shopping even more limited due to all the store closures.

Sideorderofchips · 25/07/2021 17:52

Hey fellow islanders!

Its all a bit crap at the moment isn't it!
