We’re not a very ‘present-y’ couple. We share all the finances so usually what happens on Xmas and birthdays is we buy ourselves what we want and when the one of us admires it or compliments the other on it we’ll say thanks, this is what you got me!

Anyway, this year DH has taken it upon himself to buy me something very thoughtful. (He told me he was doing it.) So now I feel I should get him a little something but I don’t know what. He’s a bugger to buy for.

Just after some inspiration really!

Shoes and a bottle of whisky.

AuntieMarys · 16/12/2020 07:58

An original piece of art. Which sounds very wanky, but its very personal and has been done by someone we have met.
We are both very good at gifts...I have no idea what he has for me, but it will be good.

Luckily for me (somewhat), he's been big into Star Wars since he was a kid, so that always helps. So far:

  • Star Wars fleece blanket (we're moving soon, and he wants a little man-cave so that'll go nice in there)
  • Star Wars cutting board (loves cooking)
  • Tommy Hilfiger Shirt and boxers

Definitely need a few more bits because he normally goes far too OTT with my stuff, and then I feel bad Grin

Blaze box, Hugo Boss shirt, YSL Y aftershave set, Retro Arcade game, Cashmere hoodie. Then a stocking with Rangpur gin, boxers, weatherproof socks, Tony's chocoloney, chocolate orange, lottery scratchcards and personalised baked beans Smile

Hippopotas · 16/12/2020 08:03

Pair of vans, couple of nfl tops and a video game

Pashazade · 16/12/2020 08:07

Proper fleece slippers as he makes massive holes in his slipper socks really fast. Favourite chocolate, book, t-shirt and I think there was something else...but I will divvy those up with my son so he's got something from him too. Oh yeah and socks!

noscoobydoodle · 16/12/2020 08:08

A scaletrix, trainers, a vintage replica coat from a sports brand he loves and some coffee. My family will buy him whisky. He is like a kid of Christmas and he is easy to buy for! Actually, he is easier to buy for than any of our 3DC!

Stompythedinosaur · 16/12/2020 09:07

I got dp a telescope for his birthday last week which was expensive, so just getting smaller things for christmas. Some vodka, a couple of board games and and a bow drill from the dc (who he helped with studying prehistoric times over lockdown).

Snowplop · 16/12/2020 09:12

A new phone, moon lamp, some Italian lemon soap, marzipan chocolates, pants, tea, drill bits.

UndeadSlut · 16/12/2020 09:16

I'm quite pleased this year, I have got one "big" present of a drawing tablet, which he suggested to me but I haven't told him I've bought it, so it will be a welcome semi surprise. Also benefits me as it will mean he can design my tattoos much easier! Then I've got him two items of clothing, one he has been searching for for years, and one that is meaningful to us as a family (that sounds so wanky but it's basically an in joke). And then three silly things (car air freshener, silly pen and something for his collection)

Danni91 · 16/12/2020 09:27

Speaker (he asked for & picked!)
Some new clothes, well 4 tops and a jumper
A box of a chilli selection
Socks
Token lynx set he will never use until we run out sometime in the year

I'm still after ideas I know hes bought me a fair amount this year.

He doesn't drink, he occasionally smokes, no longer vapes, has zero hobbies unless it involves knocking down walls or something extreme.

Totally stuck on him this year, I wish i had something to suprise him with.

A bonsai tree

ElfIsAnAss · 16/12/2020 11:38

A book on bondage for beginners and 20m of rope. I'm not kidding. 😁

And yes I nc'd for this!

tigerbread20 · 16/12/2020 11:44

A sodastream, some aftershave and a t shirt from a small business I found. I'm not sure he will like any of it but he's so hard to buy for!

ChristmasUserName2020 · 16/12/2020 12:01

A ‘golden snitch’ lamp and a handmade case for magic wands. He’s a Potter Head 🤓🤯😆😆

Natsku · 16/12/2020 12:06

Usually he buys himself stuff and I wrap it for him but this year I've bought him a new coffee maker because the old one is not good any more, and a t-shirt from manwhohasitall (also bought myself one that he can wrap for me) and he's asked me to buy some shaving gift pack, which I suppose I might get if I remember next time I'm in the shop that sells them, plus underwear, which is always needed.

CorianderQueen · 16/12/2020 12:07

Three games, a mode set, an Apple pod, some binoculars, some skincare, a slanket

DH and I agreed years ago not to buy each other any gifts for Christmas and birthdays. It makes life a lot easier all round, ime!

Santaisironingwrappingpaper · 16/12/2020 12:28

Do not practice bondage Xmas eve. Imagine you get stuck and Xmas day guests have to rescue you!
Not ime at all.

Santa's not planning on leaving this gift under the Christmas tree! 😆 🎄
