please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

I am looking for a cheap, second hand iPhone for DD(11) to have now she is taking her sister to school. Someone told me I need an iphone 6 or later as the iphone 5 (which she wants) doesn't update properly anymore but I'm not very fussy about which model. Apart from CEX and carphone warehouse can anyone recommend sites I should be watching. Thanks for all the bargains so far.

thaegumathteth · 20/11/2020 20:41

@SomethingInTheWaySheCooks what size do you need? Size 3 on sneaker studio are £135

Sneaker peeker seem to have them in a 3/4/6 for £139

hungryisabelle · 20/11/2020 20:43

SomethingInTheWaySheCooks · 20/11/2020 20:46

Lovely bargain hunters in my phone . . . would anyone who has unidays be able to check price of new iPad Air 4th generation 64GB (usually £579) and new iPad 8th generation 32GB (usually £329). I don't need a code - I'm trying to advise my elderly FIL who wants to update my MIL's iPad (and who can get a code from my niece once he decides what he is buying . . . )

UsernameRebooted · 20/11/2020 20:50

@Carrie76

FIL has just requested a self charging electric razor has anyone heard of such a thing?
Does he just mean one that doesn't have batteries but is rechargeable?

I think they mostly are?

SomethingInTheWaySheCooks · 20/11/2020 20:51

mummabear74 Thank you. That is the cheapest yet at £135!

Foggyday124 · 20/11/2020 20:54

Thank you PerditaNitt for your suggestions!

SomethingInTheWaySheCooks · 20/11/2020 20:55

mummabear74 Sadly they don’t have any size 5s though 🙁

NoWordForFluffy · 20/11/2020 20:56

@SomethingInTheWaySheCooks, there is cash back on Quidco and TCB too.

Notlongnow1 · 20/11/2020 21:01

@somethinginthewayshecooks

There are some here in a 5. Looks like they do a student discount too but haven't researched properly.

NoWordForFluffy · 20/11/2020 21:01

@SomethingInTheWaySheCooks £127.20 at All Sole using BOOT20.

herecomesthsun · 20/11/2020 21:03

@SomethingInTheWaySheCooks

Thank you everyone. It’s the black lace up boots with the red roses embroidered on the sides. Actually they are £159. When did it happen that a pair of boots costs that much! I have signed up with DM which has given me 10% discount. I will also see if anything happens on Black Friday.
There are not docs but very similar, in size 5 and £49.99 here
autumncountryleaves · 20/11/2020 21:06

@sh0ppingstar Hope these are the two you were looking for!

Just browsing Lakeland and the Lavazza Jolie machine together with the milk frother is 50% off, which virtually makes the milk frother free

autumncountryleaves · 20/11/2020 21:08

iPad air - 536.20
iPad - 309.60

@sh0ppingstar - sorry tried to upload screen shot but doesn’t seem to have worked!

NoWordForFluffy · 20/11/2020 21:16

Ooh, @SomethingInTheWaySheCooks, there's 10% cash back on All Sole on TCB, and it's valid with the code given too (assuming you're a new customer). That brings them in at under £115.

sh0ppingstar · 20/11/2020 21:17

@autumncountryleaves thanks so much for taking the time to look those up - really appreciate it Flowers

OUR GENERATION Black Friday offers

EwDavid · 20/11/2020 21:19

@SomethingInTheWaySheCooks

Would anyone have any ideas on where to save money on dr Martens. The ones my dd likes are £149!
There's 20% off the DM site with BlueLightCard if that's any help? Sorry if someone has already mentioned it!
EverybodyKeepCool · 20/11/2020 21:21

@SomethingInTheWaySheCooks I got my daughter some from here. 10% discount if you sign up www.henmores.co.uk/ladies-clothing-and-footwear/footwear?global_brand=4747

NoWordForFluffy · 20/11/2020 21:32

Oh, I got the TCB code wrong. It's 2% with a voucher, so they come down to about £125. So the Henmores link above might work out a touch cheaper.

SomethingInTheWaySheCooks · 20/11/2020 21:38

Thank you everyone on the DM front. I’m now sorted. I bought the shorter version of the ‘fake’ ones linked to by Herecomesthsun as I really like the fact they have a zip, which the real ones don’t. The seller also has good reviews. I was a bit wary of buying from All Soles as their recent reviews on Trust Pilot are pretty dire. I’m so pleased - I’ll let you know what they’re like when they arrive. We are quite anti-brand in this house, so these are perfect. Fingers crossed.

Onlyahalfbottle · 20/11/2020 21:39

Thank you so much @GirlWithTheYellowHat the kindle fire was one of the last presents I needed and I'd been holding out for a Black Friday deal.
I've got two discount codes for £10 off a £40 spend at Joules if they're any use for anyone!
