please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

Last year I got some lovely fabric gift bags (very simple drawstring) in different sizes. I can only see ones on Amazon, has anyone seen others that don’t cost a fortune? So many people commented on how nice they were and I loved not having to wrap presents!

Lovemusic33 · 20/11/2020 14:30

@Tigger83

Any cheap nice Christmas tin recommendations? Going to do some baking for a few people who I know would appreciate it!
Lidl and Aldi usually have nice tins, though Aldi seems to have plastic ones this year, not sure if they will have the tins at a later date. IKEA also do them if you have one near by.

I don’t suppose anyone has a Dunelm code. Ds3 now wants a teddy bear fleece onesie and his budget is well and truly spent!

I’ve got 2 challenges for you clever lot both for DH who also has a big birthday the week of Christmas.

Firstly I’ve gone back to the hammocks. It’s totally the wrong time of year so lots of places are out of stock. I’ve found a great one at Wilko (pic attached) for £140. It’s also available at Ryman slightly cheaper but saving is wiped out by delivery. Any discounts at Wilko or can anyone find this anywhere else?

Secondly, I’m looking for 2 x 20kg weights for DHs improvised garage gym. They are either out of stock or eye wateringly expensive. I have seen them for £79.99 in Argos but unavailable within 100 miles of home. Does anyone have a suggestion?

I’ve caved on the HC hamper for SIL but I’m considering cracking it open myself as soon as it arrives!!!

Thanks all

Going through Quidco or TCB would you around 2% cashback for Wilko so would bring it a little closer to the Ryman price.

Regarding weights I can't remember how much but I'm fairly sure I saw them in Costco the other day! Is there one near you?

LutherRalph1 · 20/11/2020 14:45

Thank you all for the craft suggestions, I will take a look!

thelegohooverer · 20/11/2020 14:46

Sorry but I can’t remember who was looking for Ballerina merch.
There are some porecelian figurines and various art prints like this one on Etsy.
I was also thinking that there is some gorgeous scenery in the film of Paris and, I think iirc a part near the start has the menhirs at Carnac. I don’t have time right now to do a proper brainstorm but you might find something like a tourist souvenir that might fit the bill.

buckeejit · 20/11/2020 14:50

Ffs, dd7 is now writing a massive list with a Smyths catalogue after only wanting a beanie boo & surprises until now.

Anyone any ideas where to get a Garmin junior that they can link with friends to do a steps challenge?!

ILikeBiscuits · 20/11/2020 14:52

Graphista we have a normal Radio Times subscription. It arrives poly wrapped with various advertising leaflets included.

I don’t know where the subscription offer you were looking for is from, though.

chorusline79 · 20/11/2020 14:59

Love the thread title. Very apt for me. I have eaten 2 packs and can't stop thinking about the others - why are they so darn tasty?! I need to wrap them up quickly...

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 20/11/2020 15:00

The amazon 10" fire tablet has dropped to £90, down from £150.

This is a strange request but I need some help to decide what to spend some money on! I have a £25 credit at Urban Outfitters if I spend £75 (account specific, or else I would offer it to someone here) but I don't usually shop there so not sure what to look for. DS already has a Kanken backpack and I'm finding the website tricky to navigate so can't easily see what other brands they stock. Any ideas?

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 20/11/2020 15:21

Looking for suggestions for dd (12) we were originally going to get a laptop but lots of her homework is app based so now thinking a tablet with an attachable keyboard. Any bargains about? Preferably android as we all use that, up to around £250. Happy for it to be a refurbished one from a reputable company.

WeAreTheWeirdosMister · 20/11/2020 15:24

Thanks so much @Helenlovescats xx

TinyTroubleMaker · 20/11/2020 15:24

Looking for a hairdryer with diffuser for curly hair, if anyone can recommend a good one.

ConstantlyCooking · 20/11/2020 15:29

M&S have their previously overpriced Autograph advent calendars reduced to £21

TheLastStarfighter · 20/11/2020 15:36

@CarrotVan That's a pretty specific requirement for your Mum's books!!

@Spiderbee Could it have been these ones from Typo?

LutherRalph1 · 20/11/2020 15:39

@Tigger83 I bought some from Lidl on Monday, 3.99 for a set of 3. I got like a pixelated fairisle pattern but there were others

Carrie76 · 20/11/2020 15:40

@buckeejit amazon have a few Garmins reduced

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 20/11/2020 15:53

@Maranello my teens rate the ‘iets frans’ range in urban outfitters if you are taking clothes. Hats and Beenie’s are cool in there and they also sell bedroom stuff/vinyl records/record players if you are after non clothes gifts.

Anyone else having to keep a list of deliveries due? My stuff is taking AGES to arrive, I think all the delivery companies are really struggling.

villamariavintrapp · 20/11/2020 16:01

@Iggi999 if you're looking for ring doorbell deals check Costco online-they were cheaper the other day than on amazon, but obviously amazon might have reduced again since?
