Argghhhh, I’m so sorry, I hope I haven’t lost you all! I was keeping a beady eye then got distracted trying to work out how to forward plan a Zoom call for work and invite someone, which should only take a few minutes but I’m incompetent and it took me far too long Blush .

@CarrotVan I hope it was the former!

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

My drop store gin arrived yesterday. Thanks to the poster who recommended it . 2 lovely london gins 16 tonics and 2 free glasses.( for £40) The glasses are quite weighty not thin iyswim. Oh and a free Whitley and Neil miniature. I'm really impressed .

luckiestgirl · 11/11/2020 08:05

@HoHoHolyMackerel My real Oodie is my favourite thing I own, I’d say go for it. But wait till there’s a sale (Black Friday?) so you get it around the £50 mark.

@ThePurpleGirl thanks for the Lego Mario heads up- I’m after about 5 different sets of that

TheGriffle · 11/11/2020 08:08

I’ve bought some mugs, candles, socks and tree ornaments from Typo. Spent just over £30 so free delivery and went through topcashback too.

Has anyone bought or know anything about storm glasses/weather globes (picture attached of the sort of thing I mean).

I've seen lots in the £20-30 price bracket but dont know if the cheap ones are rubbish (or, in fact, if they're all rubbish and do nothing!!)

I thought they'd make a good present for FIL if they work

Beat us and best to it!

I thought it was a great coincidence as we were talking of it yesterday!

I even got 20% off something that said excluded from promo.... glad I tried! Grin

OrigamiPenguinArmy · 11/11/2020 08:58

I bought £35 worth of typo stuff. I think it depends who you’re buying for, I’ve got an almost 13 year old with a Christmas birthday who’s too old for smiggle but loves stationary but isn’t into makeup and skincare stuff yet, so typo is perfect for her stocking fillers. If you’re only buying for younger children or adults who have no use for stationary then it’s not going to be your thing.

Carriemac · 11/11/2020 08:58

Is there a typo promo code please?

ClaraLane · 11/11/2020 09:05

Who was after whisky? There’s some on Amazon today for Black Friday.

ClaraLane · 11/11/2020 09:06

There’s also sylvanian families on offer too!

OrigamiPenguinArmy · 11/11/2020 09:09

It’s not a typo promo code, there’s a sale with lots of things reduced by up to 70%.

@HoneyPea

Is it worth joining top cash back?
I would say yes, it was especially good when we travelled and got cash back on booking.com, hotel chains and car parking. Have had some meaningful cash back on furniture and changing utility or insurance provider. but it all adds up you just have to remember to use it. Use the referral thread so the poster gets a referral bonus then you can do the same
