I have a few friends i'd like to gift something small and cheap this Xmas. What are some token gifts you'd like to receive and would actually use?

Cuts flowers or plants, indoor or outdoor, for me.

And I hate cut flowers or chocolate or smelly candies or bubble bath

Aromatherapy oils

I wouldn't want cut flowers, candles, wine, or anything for the bath as I never have one!

A souschef voucher would be wonderful as I could buy fancy ingredients like black garlic that I could never otherwise justify buying for myself.

The Sanctuary hand sanitiser spray. Indulgent and a way of making a vaguely unpleasant necessity a little, well, nicer..

@kowaria sous chef voucher is a top idea!

OP here! I just wanted to know what people would like to receive themselves. Surely there'd never be a gift that would please everybody but it's nice to read the diferent answers as it helps to come up with ideas.

For a tenner I would like a book/cookbook or book token, bottle of malbec or bordeaux, bottle of cremant, rose or violet creams, 85% dark chocolate, soaps, molton brown bauble, nice notebook, succulent plant, a poinsettia, loose leaf tea

I am very happy with a tub/box of chocolates to watch a movie or box set with. Cosy socks and nice bubble bath I like as small gifts.

Not keen on candles as flames and pets don’t mix and don’t drink so people know not to buy alcohol.

I'd like a book that's a favourite of the person giving it to me. And a bar of chocolate to eat while I read it.

I'd prefer we arranged a get together than bought each other token gifts tbh.
If you really want to get something though then maybe; a nice bath bomb, chocolates, hand cream?

Nice bar of soap would be good too

Socks, flowers, nice tea/coffee, biscuits.

Something locally made? We have a company here that uses local slate to make lovely Christmas tree decorations.

Or if you know them really well I love Qwerty tshirts - they have lots of niche ones for gamers, dnd, sci fi fans etc.

Filofax has a good sale on for the stationary lovers but I think it ends today.

To me a token gift is like a 'secret santa' type gift and under £5... if its more than this (like some people saying £12 or £15 items) then its clearly just a standard gift imo.

I dont really know what I would want in the token gift area, the cheapest thing I can think I want/need right now would be an eyeliner (the twist/push up kind not the wood pencil kind which hurts my eyes, preferably waterproof too if possible)

I have often given mugs with initials on (and hot choc powder and marshmallows etc depending on budget), which has gone down well.
