NEW INFO PLZ READ*
**please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Glitch at Gap right now. I just bought pyjamas and face masks and when I checked out I was only charged for the postage 😳 It’ll probably be cancelled but worth a try at ordering something just in case it goes through.

Ownerofmultiplechimps · 12/10/2020 09:43

@mummymilkfloat I’d recommend Contigo too, we’ve tried many brands & these have been far & away the best. Dh coffee made at 5am was still piping hot at 11, sturdy without being bulky aswell.

Ibelieveinyou · 12/10/2020 09:52

For those asking about Neom check your Sparks offers as I currently have 20% off clothing and beauty and that includes Neom. They have the candles but can’t see the pods unfortunately.

@Someaddedsugar

This possibly won't be a bargain, but the Vampire's Wife are launching a collaboration with H&M on 22 October and this is quite often a good way to get designer clothes nearer to high street prices. From what I've ready it'll be clothes and jewellery so there might be something of interest for those into more gothic high fashion (and Nick Cave fans as he's designed the jewellery for the collection on behalf of his wife).
OMG THANK YOU WISE ONE. I absolutely fucking love it all. Wait this is a thread for buying other people gifts...hmm... nevermind :)
nickdrakeslovechild · 12/10/2020 10:11

Can anyone recommend some good reusable hand warmers? Had a look on Amazon and the prices and styles vary so much. I have a footie mad DD who is always cold. We got plastic ones that you crack to heat up and then you pop into hot water to reset, but cant get them to re-use. A bargain would be a bonus but wanted some that can be used twice a week for football.

@MyEnormousTurnip thanks! As you say, probably will be cancelled but I've ordered 3 kids hoodies.

Luxplus · 12/10/2020 10:20

Got code from hotel chocolat if anybody needs.
Have 3 different single use ones.

Arthien · 12/10/2020 10:20

More of a general freebie than a bargain present purchase, but it’s worth checking your local library’s website as many have free access to online ebooks, audiobooks and magazines. Mine uses the app BorrowBox for ebooks and audiobooks, and the app RBDigital for magazines, but yours may be different. You just need your library card to access it.

I have now used it to download two free digital editions of Christmas magazines which are often about £6-10 each. I’ll be spending this evening on the sofa with a baileys and looking through them 🤶

Hope that helps someone!

Oxyiz · 12/10/2020 10:24

I love these threads and can't wait for Christmas Smile

Just wondering if you've heard of Fakespot @reastie? I use it on amazon links to see if their reviews are fake reviews or not, its saved me making a few purchases that were too good to be true. Might be useful for the intro post next time?

Reastie · 12/10/2020 10:27

Ohh @Oxyiz I’ve never heard of that but off to investigate because I hate not knowing if reviews are legit on amazon

@Luxplus I’d love a hotel chocolat code please if still available! Sorry for clogging up thread- I also PMd but just in case you don’t see it, I’m a keen bean clearly!

Reastie · 12/10/2020 10:30

Ok so I tested fakespot on an echo dot and it said it was graded F from A-F on reviews from over 200,000 reviews. I’m not sure about that @Oxyiz

@nickdrakeslovechild how about an electric hot water bottle? (perhaps more for defrosting in the car) I ordered one for about 20£ from Amazon last week and it's got pouches either side of it that you can slip hands in. I got it for my mother, but will be ordering another for my daughter after football.

TheCrow · 12/10/2020 10:34

@MyEnormousTurnip @myhobbyisouting with the gap glitch does the price go down after placing the order? Added stuff to basket and still showing as actual price

crikeycrumbsblimey · 12/10/2020 10:38

lakeland vouchers

Also excited about vampires wife but please don’t let it all be black - I’d love some green or something.

sorryiasked · 12/10/2020 10:40

Prime deals have 15% off some gift cards including new look, gap and foot locker

UselessInDisguise · 12/10/2020 10:41

I managed to squeeze in a gap order... £174 of sale items for £4 😂 no way that won't he cancelled

makingmiracles · 12/10/2020 10:41

The gap glitch has been rectified now unfortunately. I’m sure all orders will be cancelled but it worth worth a punt! My gap stuff arrived 2 days after I ordered when I got the pjs so we shall see...

Anyone with whiskey lovers, this little set is £6 in Iceland food warehouse, I swear usually at the other big supermarkets is normally more like £10+

They’ve also got the rum mixology set that I bought from sainsbo last year and I paid around £12/13 for, its £8 at Iceland

@Friedbanana I have PM you

makingmiracles · 12/10/2020 10:48

great deal on the gift cards at amazon but please be very careful with gift cards, this year especially as so many company’s have gone or are teetering on the edge of administration and gift cards become worthless if they do. The only sure fire one that is safe is the one you can buy at the PO I think its all4one or something like that, martin Lewis said that one is protected and also there are many retailers at which it can be spent if one or two go bust.

4Minions2CallMyOwn · 12/10/2020 10:57

Thanks so much to everyone who made suggestions for activities to do with the children over Christmas. I’ve read them all and made notes, thank you Smile

mummymilkfloat · 12/10/2020 11:02

Thank you for all the travel cup recommendations! I love these threads, lovely to come on for some Christmas cheer when the outside world seems a bit bonkers and gloomy.

Brogues · 12/10/2020 11:04

Philosophy Cinnamon Buns Shower Gel on Amazon discounted to £11.30 might go nice as a gift with the elusive Bakedin buns!
