Crazy I'm sure staying on a lead is fine by him - he knows where your feet are. If you go near Wensleydale, don't tell fluffy she'll want cheese! Grin
It's too warm to sew - I keep getting really sweaty hands Blush
70 I have no idea how you did that drive in one day! I love driving, but I'd be nodding off and dangerous after about 4/5hrs.

Anyone else considering putting their bra/pants etc in the freezer? or I could order a 6' tall fridge and remove the shelves and just stand in that, AO can deliver tomorrow

WreckTangled · 12/08/2020 12:13

I forgot my sun cream luckily the dc already have it on.

FireflyGirl · 12/08/2020 12:36

We had the thunderstorms earlier, but they haven't done anything to clear the air, it's still warm and muggy.

DM messaged this morning to say their ddog won't even get up to eat now, so he is making his last trip to the vet tomorrow. We're going round after DH finishes work tonight to say goodbye. It's what's best, but I'm devastated Sad I've been cooking/baking to take my mind off it, but I've had to stop because I'm dripping with sweat from the heat from the oven.

FireflyGirl · 12/08/2020 12:38

boots I can mail DS to you, and he can spend the day squirting you with his water gun? You get cool, he gets to play with his water gun and I get some peace and quiet! Everybody wins!

MarshmallowManiac · 12/08/2020 12:53

Boots my knees seem sweaty for some reason Hmm

So sorry to hear about DDog Firefly big hugs Flowers

NoWordForFluffy · 12/08/2020 12:59

My head hurts again due to the weather. I've rubbed tiger balm on and it seems to be working a bit.

I may get in our chest freezer, Boots will have to empty it of allotment-grown beans first!. But maybe that's a bit too Line of Duty?! 😂😂

I'm sorry about your mum's dog, Firefly. Flowers

70 and Crazy, I love those turbines, they're just so majestic!

pussycatinboots · 12/08/2020 13:51

Firefly poor ddog.
You can post DS here - he'd have loads of fun with NDNs son who has a similar water squirting fixation Grin and a v cross mum who has discovered quite damp washing just as she was going to iron it! 🤣🤣

WreckTangled · 12/08/2020 15:55

Oh no firefly Sad

We've just got home. It was 35° then dropped to 31° and there's a storm going right round us. We had a few drops of rain and can hear the thunder but it's still sunny here and looks like the storm is going north.

Mrsmadevans · 12/08/2020 15:56

pussycatinboots · 12/08/2020 16:26

why bucket or washing up bowl of cold really cold water. dunk your clean feet in it. It's absolute bliss, and you don't have to move, as long as you remember the towel or you'll leave woman from atlantis footprints everwhere when you need a wee Grin

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 12/08/2020 17:20

So sorry about DDog fire Flowers

I am just way to hot here. Think we will have to get take out as no way am I even preparing food. If I move away from the fan for more than five minutes I start to sweat like crazy.

MarshmallowManiac · 12/08/2020 18:15

Just got in from town with my DS, had a McDonald's mikshake, which has cooled me down a little.
Dropped DD2 to the beach to meet SD with her friends, she is quite responsible as she has asthma, and only went to the harbour which was the quietest area. Smile
Also went to the Garden centre with DD1 earlier and we had EOTHO lunch (prawn panini and a strawberry milkshake) and bought 2 pots for my basil and parsley, and some veg seeds.

Oh no a bit too hot Mrs yummy really fancy a feast now Grin

WreckTangled · 12/08/2020 18:34

pussycatinboots · 12/08/2020 19:24

It's 29 in the bedrooms and 25 in the living room.
Much cooler in than out, and has gone ominously dark...I think there may be some more 🌩⛈⛈🌩 soon, there is a certain amount of rumbling too, and it's not my stomach!

NoWordForFluffy · 12/08/2020 19:35

We're just below 24° in the lounge, no idea about any other room. It's also dark and we've had some rumbles, but not many. We're under amber warning for thunder. I hope it gets a bit more grunt going soon. My head is pounding.

OP posts:
Mrsmadevans · 12/08/2020 19:48

It's 28C in my front room!!!

NoWordForFluffy · 12/08/2020 19:55

I drink LOADS, Mrs. Think I had 8 pints of water / squash today. Plus tea on top.

OP posts:
Mrsmadevans · 12/08/2020 20:05

It can't be that then Fluffy l was covering the basics🤗 , no doubt it's this oppressive heat and humidity💐
Gone really dark outside, wind blowing up, storm may be on its way l hope so 😃

NoWordForFluffy · 12/08/2020 20:10

We've just put the bin out so there's no need to go out in the storm which is surely approaching!

Dehydration headaches are at the back of my head, Mrs. This is across the temples. Typical weather headache.

Your sky looks ominous!
