It's warm here - currently 25 in the living room. We've been outside this morning while the garden was still shady, and are now hiding in the living room, snuggled on the couch, eating strawberries and watching The Lorax.
We nipped to the allotment earlier as well - DS ate some peas and got prickled by thistles, but we've some lovely squashes growing, and (touch wood!!) the purple sprouting broccoli and kalettes are barely nibbled and seem to be doing well. I'll need to build a higher cage for them next year though, I reckon.
The two cauliflower I was gifted have completely bolted, however, and the tomatoes aren't doing much, but they didn't last year either. I have planted them deeper in a different location, so think they maybe need better soil improvement next year.
No rain forecast here until the weekend, so I'll be sending DH tonight to water.
