Nero I don't understand anyone who can function normally if temps are above 20 🤷🏻‍♀️🥵🍦😎

Woolly Nothing still fits me - my mum used to buy size 7 shoes for me for some reason, my feet are a wide 5.5-6 Hmm

MarshmallowManiac · 10/08/2020 13:25

Neros I think it's a lovely name but we both had to agree I was told Sad I also loved Jude for a boy but there wasn't any agreement there either.

FireflyGirl · 10/08/2020 13:27

Missed the update about your DS's eyes, Wreck. Glad to hear it isn't too serious.

It's warm here, but not too hot, so it's a nice Summer's day.

So far, I've pootled in the garden, collected aquilegia and cornflower seeds, got rid of some unpollinated courgettes, sorted the greenhouse a bit more (photo), tried to tame the tomato plants in there and harvested a couple of ripe tomatoes out of the front bed (which were promptly devoured by DS!). The plants in the greenhouse grew to about 5 foot before they even started flowering, but now there's loads although there's no sign of them ripening any time soon.

I'm currently having a well-deserved sit down to digest my lunch while DS runs around yelling 'screech' pretending to be a bin lorry...

pussycatinboots · 10/08/2020 14:01

Firefly bundle him up and send him to me - it's bin day tomorrow for us 😁
I didn't know you could collect seeds from cornflowers - what do i need to do?

NoWordForFluffy · 10/08/2020 14:26

We had rain at lunch. Not much, but I galloped outside when it started to rescue the towels on the line!

Firefly, your DS is cute if bastard loud, like mine.

Marshmallow, I'm not into flowers and for seeds, I'd look at the link I posted.

Wreck, at least it's only floaters.

We've cancelled dinner out today. I forgot I have two conferences this afternoon, so may not get out early enough. Plus we're having takeaway on Weds for MiL's birthday, so it's a bit much twice in a week.

Fluffy he's been loud all day. His volume seems to correlate to how little sleep I manage the night before...

boots be careful what you offer - remember I know your address Wink

Also, I fibbed - they're nigella seeds, not cornflowers Blush.

Marshmallow you can sow foxgloves now, and cornflowers, calendula, forget-me-nots and poppies. Most other flowers need to be sown in spring.

MarshmallowManiac · 10/08/2020 14:57

Thanks Fluffy

Thanks so much Firefly, they are all lovely flowers and such beautiful colours. A visit to the local garden centre is in order methinks Grin

FireflyGirl · 10/08/2020 15:05

Marshmallow if you can't find them at the garden centre, I use Premier Seeds Direct for my seeds. They are decent prices, have a great selection, and delivery is just standard Royal Mail prices.

MarshmallowManiac · 10/08/2020 15:12

Many thanks Firefly just trying to register now. Do you use your password where it says username because there is email there as well. Smile

MarshmallowManiac · 10/08/2020 15:24

Sorted now Firefly thanks Smile

CrazyBaubles · 10/08/2020 15:55

Your temps suit me much better than the sunshine here Neros, especially as I've had an allergic reaction to the suntan lotion 🙄

Wreck glad it was nothing serious with ds's eyes. Floaters are annoying but he'll learn to ignore them soon enough. It's only on really bright days that they effect you and a pair of good sunglasses helps massively 😎

Cross stitch is looking brilliant most

I know a man called Derry Marshmallow. He was about my grandparents age and was lovely, always walking to 'keep sprightly' 😊

Firefly a girl I worked with as a teen called her clapped out old car Betsy.
Also, your DS sounds so cute - my nephew shouts "bye" at top volume to any car that passes when he's outside. Dsis rolls her eyes but I think it's so sweet.

puss same here for temps. Anything over around 17 and I'm a bit miserable and over 22 and I just stop functioning like a reasonable person Blush

Fluffy I hope the conferences are going ok today?

We're now waiting for the ferry back from Barra. It was lovely (pic attached) but pretty much nothing to do. We parked up at the harbour and spent an hour sat on the sand watching for wildlife - spotted 2 seals and a basking shark 😳

Going back for a sit down and a cross stitch now while DH goes for a walk.

Wow Chips that's fabulous, well done. I always seem to be on a diet Grin

MarshmallowManiac · 10/08/2020 18:18

It's fabulous that you run too, as I know (from experience) that it is not easy. I weighed about 4 stone more when I started running in 2015, and it also shows how determined you are too Chips

TheWoollybacksWife · 10/08/2020 19:52

The blazer fits 🎉 apart from his gorilla arms. However it has built in excess fabric in the sleeves so I'll let them down a bit. I have warned him that I expect it to be hung up in his wardrobe when it's not on his back. We'll see...

pussycatinboots · 10/08/2020 20:02

Woolly
Hahahahahaha.
Doesn't he have a floordrobe?

TheWoollybacksWife · 10/08/2020 20:21

Oh yes Boots. The school shirts I bought 10 days ago are still in the packet on the floor in front of his wardrobe 🤦🏻‍♀️

NoWordForFluffy · 10/08/2020 20:30

@pussycatinboots

Woolly Hahahahahaha. Doesn't he have a floordrobe?
Not if he wants to see his next birthday! 😂
OP posts:
MarshmallowManiac · 10/08/2020 21:08

Haha my DS's floordrobe is in the corner by his bed. Every day without fail I comment on it and tell him to put them away Grin when will I learn?

pussycatinboots · 10/08/2020 21:21

Woolly could you reach a negotiated settlement that it goes on a coat hanger and is hung on the back of his bedroom door as he seems to have an allergy to wardrobes Grin
