@MarshmallowManiac

Well that's a bit silly for ITV to say, how many castles are in the middle of the town, most are surrounded by rambling countryside aren't they Grin We need a bigger hint than that don't we!
At a quick think:

Nottingham; and
Sterling.

Must be more?!

NoWordForFluffy · 07/08/2020 13:30

Not as many that aren't though!

I'd love it to be somewhere properly remote and derelict Grin
Montgomery would be perfect - it's just a few walls tbh

They'd need somewhere near a posh hotel for ant or dec to stay in.
Beeston has that - Peckforton Castle is opposite it.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peckforton_Castle
there's also Carden Park Hotel which would be rather naice for the slebs once they've been voted out.

I've never watched IACGMOOH. It doesn't appeal! I'll stick to Strictly! 💃

I'm wondering if it'll be an abandoned castle on a Scottish island - Crazy could do some scouting Wink

NoWordForFluffy · 07/08/2020 14:11

Our car was MOT'd yesterday (passed needing only 3 bulbs; is it even an MOT without needing a bulb?!) which meant the car seats were taken out. 🤮 to the grime underneath! I vacuumed and dusted the car at lunch time!

I've lost all motivation. I'm going to draft witness statements this afternoon. Nice easy job!

Boots DH and I went to Beeston Castle on one of our first dates - then went to Chester for dinner. It seemed very romantic but I was a besotted youngster 😂

FireflyGirl · 07/08/2020 14:51

We got some blueberry bushes last year, they were only tiny but a couple actually managed to flower this year.

Here's my huge haul from the one blue blueberry bush that flowered Grin (there were about 4 more, but the birds got to them first!).

There's another two berries ripening on one of the pink blueberry bushes! Can't wait for them!

Woolly My first date with DH was the Grosvenor Hotel in Eastgate Street, Chester Grin next day he took me up the Great Orme Shock

pussycatinboots · 07/08/2020 14:54

Firefly are you baking a crumble or going to make jam with them?

NoWordForFluffy · 07/08/2020 15:18

That's like in Frozen when she demands to be taken up the North Mountain! 😂😂

Ahhh. Back in the day when MN was funny and posted had a sense of humour. The twats would ruin that kind of thing now!

GrinGrin

DS and I split them - hard luck, DH Grin

I love those sorts of threads. It kinda spoils it now when they have to be prefaced with 'lighthearted'...

pussycatinboots · 07/08/2020 18:42

Firefly
Ah, poor love, he'll be so disappointed...no crumble, no jam and you two stuffing your faces 🤣😉

BiddyPop · 07/08/2020 19:32

Evening all, a busy day but I am now formally finished in my temp role. And officially on holidays for 2 weeks (so I only officially have 2 work phone calls next week 🤣🤣). Lots of admin cleaning up to do though.

I remember that Oxo thread😁 ahh the good ole days!

My crafting is back on hold - DD needs more masks for school. And won’t accept anything except plain black, so I can’t even get creative.

BiddyPop · 07/08/2020 19:33

Firefly, I’m impressed at how you’ve stretched your harvest! 🤣

WreckTangled · 07/08/2020 19:38

It's not feeling autumnal here, we've got an overnight low of 20° forecast. I really do love summer and the sun but I also love autumn, it's exciting when it all starts changing.

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 07/08/2020 19:40

I love the blueberry harvest fire Grin

Everyone still alive and not a melted puddle on the floor I hope?

I ordered DS' remaining uniform today. Just his shoes to go!

I cant believe we are half way through the holidays already Sad This autumn term is going to be so hard in my job (organise staff cover in a large secondary school) so am thinking of doing a bit of a relaxing supply shop. Was thinking some nice bath stuff and a bath pillow (already have one of those wooden boards that go across the bath. Some nice hot chocolate and fairy lights. Anything else you can think of?

pussycatinboots · 07/08/2020 19:54

most I am officially a puddle. I don't know how anyone south of us can cope with this, unless like DH they are always cold Hmm No way would I pass a Covid temp check today or ever tbh, I run hot

The Twinings Swiss Chocolate Drink is v nice, strong but not bitter.
Comfy PJs? Fleecy blanket ready for the first nip of frost...ooh - fluffy socks!

TheWoollybacksWife · 07/08/2020 19:57

most one of those quick drying hair turban things? I dread drying my hair - it's only shoulder length but very thick. I normally have a mum bob just below my ears but my hairdresser has been shielding and is only going to come once I'm ok bending over to get my hair washed. I'll be a couple of pounds lighter once I get the chop.

We've just had homemade tapas for dinner with a big jug of sangria. I'm going to pick all the wine soaked oranges out and eat them now.

pussycatinboots · 07/08/2020 19:58

Biddy Yay for the nearly holidays!!
I really have a negative thing about the black masks - they're absolutely everywhere! There will be no talking her down, will there? unless you do the stitching in a contrasting or metallic thread, maybe with a bit of freestyle machine embroidery Wink

pussycatinboots · 07/08/2020 20:00

'Nite Woolly Grin Don't do too much knitting/sewing after the oranges and don't offer to arm wrestle anyone, either
