I have a confession to make.
I have never watched Strictly.

I watched a few episodes when it was first on, but haven't watched it for years. I'll sometimes look up So-and-so's tango on YouTube minus the waffle and adverts, but that's about it!

I meant to ask, boots - how did you get on with those seeds I sent?

I've never liked strictly but dd has forced me to watch it and I don't mind so much now.

Dd has a hospital appointment tomorrow, 50 miles away.... ds cant come as they're restricting it to patients and one parent only so he's going to a friends. She has an assessment at 10 and consultant at 11:30 so it's going to be a long day...

I hadn't ever watched it Wreck but like you I was forced to by my DD and we all watch it together now (complete with Doritos and dip)

Went to Aldi's this evening , got some things with 75% off , l didn't know Aldi's did that ! l had 4 pkts of butcher's choice sausages for
32 p a pkt! I am well made up
Come home and put it all away now to catch up with you all whatcha bin doing

Met a friend for a walk and a tea today and she talked about getting organised for Christmas - then looked at me and said that she suspected I was ahead of her. Guilty as charged I've run out of storage space until we put the winter duvet on, although DH took his painting clothes out of the ottoman today and if I'm quick I can fill that space before he finishes decorating. We should have been going on holiday this week

Good news that Strictly isn't completely cancelled. I tend to dip in and out but watch when it starts getting more competitive once the less talented celebs go

I've watched SCD since series 2, I think. 2005, anyway. Even DH appears to like it I forced him to watch it!

I've been watching LoD tonight. I suppose the new series should've been on now, but COVID scuppered that plan. Booooo.

They are doing GBBO Fluffy they are all in isolation together beforehand and stay together for the duration so it will go ahead but like SCD it will be later , l don't mind though lol have a great nightsleep

Morning!

I had another epic sleep of just under 9 hours last night. I'm beginning to think I must've been ridiculously sleep deprived!

It's gloomy here and forecast rain on and off for most of the day too.

Firefly The cosmos and marigolds have done really well - the xants less so not sure there are any I'll take a pic when it's not raining.
The 10+ yo packet of white cornflowers I found came up too - I'm gobsmacked as I nearly chucked them out.
Seed shopping list for next year is cosmos, cornflowers, marigolds and violas - I've already got some blue sweet peas.

I slept like a log last night, finally. DH got up at 6 and fed the cats, then they shot upstairs and bounced on the bed and got me up...something has gone terribly wrong with their training🤦‍♀️

Ooh, GBBO - now I do watch that! It'll be quite nice watching it in the run up to Christmas (instead of summer) - maybe that will be their final challenge - Christmas Cake, screened on Christmas Eve?

I hope you're stealing that extra storage space ASAP woolly!

Fluffy the trips are dependent on being able to fly / travel at the time but he's booked new year in a little village an hour away from Reykjavik, Iceland and valentines weekend in Barcelona. Means a lot of short trips in the next few months as we also have Norway in October, Prague straight after Christmas and Berlin in May.

I've just jumped back in to bed. We have a room service breakfast coming at 9:45 so I've been up, walked DDog and had a lovely shower. DH is snoring his head off 🙄 so I'm going to read the paper while I periodically annoy him awake 😂

My marigolds are utterly HUGE. But haven't flowered yet. I can't abide sowing in trays / pricking out etc, so just lob seeds on the ground in a 'germination of the fittest'- type experiment! 😂 I threw loads of packs down, plus I got a bag of bee bombs, and the T&M 36 border plants for £4.95 GW offer. It's a riot at the front of my plot. I think it'll look better when they all flower, as I looks a fair bit weedy for now.

I haven't watched GBBO since it moved to channel 4. I loved Mary Berry and Sue and Mel.

I've applied for tickets for strictly every year and never had a look in.

Boots when GBBO was on bbc they used to do a Christmas masterclass. I never made anything but loved watching it.

Most I've been making random purchases for Christmas presents when I see deals. Last night I bought a collection of organic soap and shampoo because with a code it was £3 odds. Don't know who it'll be for, maybe DSs new teacher.

Mrs they started filming LoD near us but had to stop I think. So I don't think we'll have a new series for a while. I've been watching The deceived on Channel 5 at 9. It's in every night this week.

I never get SCD tickets either, Neros! I was going to go with Mrs last year if one of us got tickets. We didn't!

I feel worse having had more sleep tbh. I love getting up at 4 or 5 before the sun and having the house to myself (and 2😹😻 ) in the still-a-bit dark. Venus is visible every morning at the mo if you look to the east.

We've made it. Only took an hour and a half. Dd is upset the M&S cafe is closed but the Costa is open and the M&S food.

I love GBBO but like Boots have never watched Strictly. It has never appealed to me.

I have started watching The Fall on Netflix and it is amazing. Shame I am at work for three evenings now so won't get to watch more till the weekend.

Jed Mercurio announced yesterday that they aim to have finished Line Of Duty filming by Christmas.

Nero I loved watching the Masterclass episodes, not too keen on the new presenters (sorry Crazy) or the "Celeb" versions either.

why I don't like the way they have someone completely talentless with 2 left feet and a propensity to fall over on the show, and they get points! What for, turning up? I don't really find it entertaining to laugh at someone old/fat/uncoordinated - maybe that's just me - and make them return week after painful week. It smacks of bullying - a bit like I'm a Celeb, even if they do sign up for it willingly.
