Silly cow me just fell down the last three steps and went over on my ankle. Now sitting with frozen veg on it Sad great start to Cornwall.

WreckTangled · 30/07/2020 13:27

Oh no marshmallow! That's the sort of thing I would do too.

Puss I hate not getting dressed! I'm all showered and dressed now and sunbathing in the garden good job there's a breeze or I would melt.

MarshmallowManiac · 30/07/2020 13:30

Love fruitcake 70

Yes Boots I have semi packed, unpacked, and semi packed again, while all the time shouting at the DC to start their cases fat chance Grin

MarshmallowManiac · 30/07/2020 13:32

Had so many plans today Wreck Sad wanted to also go for a long walk this evening which looks kaputt now.

NerosFiddle · 30/07/2020 13:37

Boots I'll send them over. Royal Mail 1st class ok? 😂

Marshmallow put your foot up. Hope it eases up soon.

70 send any spares this way.

Wreck your weather must be the opposite of us today. It hasn't stopped raining today.

WreckTangled · 30/07/2020 13:44

27° at the moment Neros

Marshmallow that's a shame hopefully it'll feel better tomorrow especially if you RICE it today

Such good washing weather but I've run out of washing powder!

pussycatinboots · 30/07/2020 13:45

Marshmallow keep replenishing the froz veg, take ibuprofen and try not to walk too much impossible, I know Are the kids old enough to pack alone (teens)? They'll only forget that really important top once Grin

Nero I have rain envy. Lauras book is out on 3 sept - I wonder if DH will indulge me? or I'll trade him in for Jurgen who is 5yrs his junior 😉🤣

pussycatinboots · 30/07/2020 13:53

Wreck 22 in the living room, 29 in the conservatory - but we've got clouds and no wind. I do not envy you the heat, I much rather Neros rain.

Nero 48hr delivery - are you putting them in a big box? Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 30/07/2020 13:58

I'm not good at stairs, Marshmallow.

RICE is what you want: rest, ice, compression and elevation.

Wreck, it's boiling here now too after being wet first thing. I've been planting strawberry plants out in the garden and I cooked!

70, I don't do fruit cake, but I know what you mean about cakes for occasions just not performing! I use block Stork / generic as they're dairy free, for the kids.

Right, lunch over. Back to work!

Thanks Neros yes it is up, the perils of living in a townhouse!

Wreck yes trying to rice it now, oh no love good washing weather, we have a little breeze and tons of sun, have dried a few loads today Smile

Will do Boots thanks, they are old enough in theory but you know how it is, is hurting my head to shout so I have decided to leave it to them for the moment Grin

MarshmallowManiac · 30/07/2020 14:15

Thanks Fluffy trying to rice it now Smile

MarshmallowManiac · 30/07/2020 14:17

Don't know how I do it Fluffy, every few weeks I seem to miss a step/burn myself/cut myself with knives or on the door handle Grin

pussycatinboots · 30/07/2020 14:37

Marshmallow I have a semi-permanent bruise on my arm off a door knob - I know it's there, but I still walk into it! I have re-burnt a burn that hurt a lot and I turn my ankle every few days.
Yesterday I buggered up my neck while brushing my hair. 🤦‍♀️
Welcome to the club. 💐

MarshmallowManiac · 30/07/2020 14:51

OMG that's terrible, hope you're feeling better now. Hey Boots I really feel at home Smile Must have 20 bruises permanently on my bod, know I'm anaemic but this is ridiculous! Still have massive ol' blister on my thumb from gripping a plate the other day to take it out of the oven without ovengloves sily cow Grin

Mrsmadevans · 30/07/2020 18:06

We've been to The NT property in Monmouth called The KYMIN.
The view is to die for 😃🧡👏

Mrsmadevans · 30/07/2020 18:22

Sorry I have been AWOL. Turns out DH has been hiding more debt from me! At least he now admits he is an addict and has joined Debtors Anonymous and has handed management of all money matters to me. It's very daunting especially as an economic slump is surely coming but at least I can keep a control on it all. Sorry I haven't caught up with everyone!

Must go there Mrs the views are amazing!

MarshmallowManiac · 30/07/2020 18:42

So sorry to hear that Most but at least he is getting help, and you will probably feel more in control from now on, sending hugs Flowers

OMG Mrs it's so beautiful, would love to visit. Smile

NoWordForFluffy · 30/07/2020 19:02

Oh no, Most. Will it affect any plans you might make to move house?

Stunning view, Mrs.

CrazyBaubles · 30/07/2020 19:03

He's ok puss, he just seems a bit nervous, I think hearing things but not being able to see them is making him jumpy.

marshmallow similar stories here (broke 3 toes on the second day of a 2 week cruise / twisted ankle halfway through a road trip / started period on first night of this bloody holiday)!

Oh most - was it around this time last year you found out the first time? Is there anything to show for it (not that it would make a difference)? Is it all manageable? Will it alter any big plans?
I guess knowing it and being able to sort it now is better than finding it too late.

We are currently in Wasdale (I think). Only signal is via wifi and it's beautiful, the sun came out fighting this afternoon.
Just ordering tea at the pub before evening walk and early night I think.

WreckTangled · 30/07/2020 19:06

Sorry to read that most what a horrible situation

There's seven hot air balloons above. Couldn't get them all in one picture though!

MarshmallowManiac · 30/07/2020 19:18

Oh no Crazy that's terrible, sounds exactly like me, was in holiday in Ireland and dislocated both of my shoulders at the same time from falling off a bike, spent the whole of the holiday in a body bandage! Enjoy the lakes Smile

Lovely pic Wreck, went to Bristol one year to watch the balloons take off.

Mrsmadevans · 30/07/2020 19:20
