Why had a nasty experience with them.

Good morning all. I have been off the thread for a while but now work has slowed down, I can think about Christmas again. The crab apples are ready and my first task is the crab apple jelly to go with cold turkey.

70 it was more than a bad experience, it was the great banana poisoning of 2012!!! Hideous.

Crab apples being ready means it's time for chilli jam in this house. Except my - plentiful - chillies aren't red yet!

Mrs No probs with MOT - unlike a few years back where everything would need replacing/repairing. It was like driving around in a disintegrating scrap heap 🤣

Ahh puss I had the MOT today as well.
Remember back in the days when it was £10 .
I used to go to a Main Dealer where you got a "Free MOT" provided you had any remedial work done by them then they re-test "Free"

• I know they aren't "Free" - they don't absorb the cost , it gets added to your bill somewhere along the line .

Now it's £40 !

It's £58, isn't it?! Or was something like that.

I got another 1.4kg of blackberries today. Some from my plot, the rest from the side of the road!

Time to mow the lawn now. Then shower time.

Maniac sunflowers here are doing really great too

Work is done and to cap my day off I had to deal with the worlds worst customer.
We had our 'goodbye' zoom meeting and my lovely team were all there in party hats with handwritten 'good luck' banners and they all has something nice to say. I got weepy.

It's been a big day. We found out today that Ddog has lost the sight in his bad eye completely and may need to have an op to remove it.

And now we're on our way to the Lake District for part 1 of the holiday. Phew, I need to get away!

So glad everyones MOT passed and Hairspray step away from the credit card if you can, I'm sure you bought a lovely travel system before and it's hormones gone mad to want a new one now.

My sunflowers are doing well too. Including the bonus one from bird seed! 😂

I've had a handful of outdoor tomatoes now and a few more from the greenhouse. There are quite a few to come yet.

I got about 850g of runner beans plus about 450g of fine beans, as well as a handful of peas (eaten by the kids!) and broad beans too.

What was the problem with the electric, Mrs?

My allotment neighbour was there today. We compared the ridiculous amount of weeds we have. 🤦‍♀️😂

The blackberries will be frozen for use in crumbles once the fresh ones have run out. It's a cracking blackberry year this year. I'll probably go to my new-found spot a few more times yet, depending on whether we do well in Formby Woods or not.

Oh, bless your DDog, Crazy. Better to find out and have it sorted though.

Thankfully no spider 70. I ate some banana and it made me feel really ill and (possibly tmi but going to tell you anyway) I was burping banana for two weeks!!! Very unpleasant.

We had the electricity board camped outside our house Most of Sunday until half three Mon morningFluffy must have been something major but didn't affect us thankfully 😸.
